Grab, Avoid or Bore off!
Welcome to another installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2015-16 season. As always we will tackle some of the most important questions in FPL, like is your spouse worth having if Pelle was available? After we tackle some of those hard hitting questions we might get silly and answer questions about Ozil, Aguero and others and it how it relates to FPL, time permitting. As I gathered the 3 Amigos this week, I noticed an air of grumpiness in the lads. Well, Kop was grumpy, the other two were their usual self. Come to think of it, grumpy is Kop’s modus-operandi so I guess everything was as expected. Init is forever optimistic, but always willing to lay into someone, Cookie is as always waiting for the other shoe to drop as he is eternally pessimistic about his FPL team and Kop was…well you know. Well enough about them three and how they were feeling and onto something that matters even less, their opinions on FPL…

*Alexis Sanchez (90 mins)*
Chile 1-1 Colombia
(VIDAL) (RODRIGUEZ)
*The equalising goal opened the contest, with Colombia sensing they could snatch all three points from the clash and Chile eager to press for a second.
A smart training ground routine from a corner eventually saw Sanchez – who had been kept quiet for the majority of the tie – strike over and Carlos Bacca, a late substitute for Muriel, saw his penalty appeal turned down*

Cheers GP – Alexis to get his rest before or during Christmas?
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Morning Cookie
I can’t call it but I’m convinced it’s ‘when’ not ‘if’.
With each day that passes this break I’m becoming more inclined to shift him.
Cookie
Yep agreed it’s “when” – it makes sense also, he has looked nackered and with Wenger so big on players in the “red zone” he will no doubt get a break. Probably depends on some of the injured lot making it back.
Time to have plenty of squad cover in our teams – that 5th midfielder could come into play for a couple of games if we can afford to keep him through his break.
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Cookie,
I agree. I want my squad in top shape. Think I’d rather have ‘benching’ issues than no cover.
Cookie
Indeed – I may have to do something with Wes Hoolahan hahaha
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Cookie
I’m wondering why on earth I ever bought Wijnaldum – think I got caught in the hype but he may just come in handy across the Christmas period.
I’ve read he has been playing well in games though.
Cookie
At least he plays!!
Kop Warrior
GP, I wonder the same about 90% of my team!!
Pancho
GP and Cookie, I definitely agree about the extra cover! There are a few decent options around the £5m-£6m mark that could come in handy. Who do you reckon for that slot in your squad?
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Pancho,
I have Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Ayew and Wijnaldum just now.
I’m thinking of getting Cabaye and Mahrez for Payet and Ayew.
Pancho
GP those sound like great replacements. I’ve got to be honest that I’ve no idea what happened to Swansea. They were firing and Gomis/Ayew was a must for every team, then they suddenly just stopped. It’s strange. It Ayew starts playing well again I think he could be a great option to keep in there, but I totally understand the desire to get rid of him now. What about just Payet to Mahrez and leave Ayew? Any other potential issues to clear up with a second transfer?
EBC
2FT, 2.2 ITB.
Still early in the break but any thoughts?
Immediate concerns are: Payet & Sanchez
Minor concerns: Bellerin (injury), Kolarov (rotation), Cedric (rotation), Sterling (don’t like him), Aguero (want him in)
EBC
Still have my WC so reluctant to take hits.
Cookie
EBC, good morning. So much depends on what the managers say in next week’s pressers, especially regarding Bellerin, Alexis & Vardy. Clearly Payet is your initial priority, so identify who you want to bring and wait to make sure he doesn’t get injured in the next week!!
If Vardy is ok then you can consider turning Alexis to Ozil for a few weeks with Wenger apparently wanting to give Alexis a rest some time soon.
EBC
Thanks, sounds good.
Leaning towards Cabaye & Ozil.
Eagle
Cabaye on 4 yellow cards
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Eagle,
That’s a great spot. I was toying with either he or Bolasie but hadn’t looked too much in to it. Would have picked up on that at research stage but good to get the heads-up this early.
Cheers mate.
