Guess who’s back, back again….

With the fpl season getting closer and closer to starting, it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered the three originals, as is tradition for each first edition of the new season. As always a new season brings new hope. Hopefully this article helps a little, but not too much.

Looking back through the first Bore Off from last season, I noticed that the Amigos had many things right. All 3 had Salah as the first person in their team sheet, they were all for the LFC double up in midfield with Mane, which would have worked out well for any manager who did. Cookie and Kop were talking about a back four and in Cookie’s case he was talking up a 5 back. Cookie was ahead of his time! Init had his eye on Milivojevic and Cookie said this “Mili is obviously great for a penalty every time Zaha falls over”. Kop talked about a possible golden boot for Auba and was hopeful that Allison would sign for LFC.

Hopefully they can replicate some of their good calls for this upcoming season, let’s see what they have to say.

  3. Is Fraser worth the extra over Perez? Eg for me a 4.5 defender over Zouma/KWP if so who? Other one would be VVD instead of Robbo

    • For you it’s easy to do VVD and one of Robertson or TTA plus Frasers seems good to me, but not sure which combination would be best long term.

      • That bits easy it’s the 4.5 defender that’s not

        • Ah sorry, I thought Fraser was valued at 7 mill so you only needed .5 to raise.

    • Don’t think it’s worth it, Perez could easily outscore Fraser for 1m less and if that happens you’re a winner, that’s a bet I’d take any day really smile

    • You thinking of taking a punt on KWP, Smash? Can’t decide whether to go for Zinchenko or KWP + £0.5m. Both risky and could simply be booking up a pointless early transfer

      As for your question, £ for £ I’d say Perez offers better value over the course of the season but the early fixtures would lean me towards a Bournemouth player. Hope this new lad comes in cheap 😉

      • Yeah I really am. He gets forward a lot. Will see how he plays in last friendly

        • Both have risks but I do not see necessarily an early transfer for either

        • I agree. Think he gets the nod over Aurier (if fit) and Foyth (when back from suspension)?

    First draft of the new season, any advice would be great!

    Kane King Greenwood

    • Rose could be transferred out before deadline day.

      Solid squad there Mr go.

    • If you’re going with rotating keepers after an admittedly quick glance I think I prefer the fixtures of Pope and Heaton over Ryan and Heaton.

      Unless one leaves, Rose and Davies (if fit) will probably rotate again.

      Like the rest. Deciding whether to drop Salah to Mane myself.

    • I’m sure rose is a rotation risk and may leave. I would double check on Mané. He’s a great player but is he back in training yet? I know he was a doubt for the start as he was away on international duty. Maybe choose one keeper and upgrade Pereya to a 6.5. I know he started last season well but didn’t get an assist or goal since december

      • Good point about Pereyra, but prefer to rotate. Might see if i can get the money from elsewhere.

  5. Guys, who do we reckon is the best option for a 4m defender and a 4.5 m mid, also Heaton or Pope for a 4.5 keeper? Thanks guys, scraping the barrel here for funds.
    Will Zouma start do we reckon?

    • Dendoncker and Rico/Lundstorm currently. I don’t think there is much in Heaton or Pope. I think Zouma starts the season
