Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20
Guess who’s back, back again….
With the fpl season getting closer and closer to starting, it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered the three originals, as is tradition for each first edition of the new season. As always a new season brings new hope. Hopefully this article helps a little, but not too much.
Looking back through the first Bore Off from last season, I noticed that the Amigos had many things right. All 3 had Salah as the first person in their team sheet, they were all for the LFC double up in midfield with Mane, which would have worked out well for any manager who did. Cookie and Kop were talking about a back four and in Cookie’s case he was talking up a 5 back. Cookie was ahead of his time! Init had his eye on Milivojevic and Cookie said this “Mili is obviously great for a penalty every time Zaha falls over”. Kop talked about a possible golden boot for Auba and was hopeful that Allison would sign for LFC.
Hopefully they can replicate some of their good calls for this upcoming season, let’s see what they have to say.

What formation will you play? Not sure on Coleman, might be better off with Wan B or a Spurs defender.
Mr Go. Will probably 4-4-2. Not keen on ManU at moment. Depends how they start. Spurs defence bit unknown at moment.
I wouldn’t have Alisson as with 0.5-1.0m more you can have VVD/TAA… I’d downgrade Siggy to someone cheap so that you can get TAA for Dunk and KDB for Bilva maybe (that’s if you’re really set in stone with Aguero)… I would prefer Kane to Aguero to release an additional 1M
ZL, Who instead of Alisson then? Fabianski? Who is better our of VVD/TAA? Replacement for Siggy?
Is Kane a better option than Aguero?
Take your pick of the 4.5m goalies (Pope/Henderson/Heaton/Ryan etc), I think TAA is better than VVD, and the replacement of Siggy depends on how much money you’d be left with after all that, also depends on whether you sell Kun to Kane…

If that is based upon Dunk going to Leicester and you’re looking to play 4-4-2 then I don’t see any huge problems with that squad at all.

Pulisic is a gamble but I guess the others are somewhat ”safe” picks so I feel pretty good about it.
If there is someone i’m not so sure about its deulofeu, but he could be turned into a 6.0 defender like azpi or someone and play 5-4-1 or a 6.5 midfielder and go 4-5-1, but i’d prefer 4-4-2…
And Perez, tielemans and maddison. Who’s the best pick? Someone has to be a little bit of a better pick than the other two right?

Looks good. I would plan to always have 2 playing strikers in case of late injuries etc. Delefeu has good fixtures and is a good price point to swap in any other cheap striker later.
You could consider Fraser for a couple of fixtures whilst you look at Pulisic some more.
There’s another option. Turn robbo to VVD. Pulisic to fraser. And then take a chance on giroud, tammy or batshuayi. But I don’t have a clue on who out of them….
I think there’s room to gamble a bit on one player… 90% safe, 10% gamble…. 😉
Risky going for a Chelsea striker. I’m on Barkley at the moment as he’s only 6M.
Pulisic to Barkley and Delefeu to someone is an option. But don’t be surprised if Barkley gets rotated lots.
No Barkley! And I base that decision on nothing but a bad feeling 😉
Hard to say who is the best pick from Leicester. Maddison is 0.5M more, so one of the other two may be better value.
Reckon F.Anderson or Lanzini seem even better value, now the the hammers have a striker who wants to play and their fixture gw2 onward

Saw Wilson and king on the same team earlier and i tought it was a pretty stupid move, but as i think about it i feel that it could be a pretty smart move….
I like the team, grealish is a gamble but they have pretty nice fixtures….
Thanks Allan, your team looks good. Previously I had Fraser and Jota instead. Thought if I have Wilson and King one of them will score for sure. Pulisic is gamble too, but if he start scoring price will go up quickly.
This is where I am at the moment. Think I’m getting there but have doubts maybe with deeney. Could go for king but then maybe I’m counting too much on Bournemouth. Any thoughts?

No Sterling (or MCI players for that matter) is a risk. Would consider 1 of TAA/VVD to a MCI winger at least. Could downgrade Auda to Laca to free up funds if required
