Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2021-22

International break time always means one thing, GABO time!

This mostly passive aggressive panel was filled with our fearless feared leader Init, Rosco, who after only one week of doing Init’s site duties needed a therapist and GP who tries to always be nice, but has been sneaking in snarky comments on the site. With a crazy first few gameweeks and a crazy transfer window to boot, there is certainly a lot of questions when it pertains to fpl that we all probably have. I have asked once again on the site for any in particular you might want answered and have included the ones I could that were not addressed in other questions.

Well, without further ado, let us see what the boys had to say.

Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!. This article was written by Mito21.

Great GABO, lads! Always entertaining and informative!

I have a question: is Bruno even eligible to play against Newcastle? He will be flying back to the UK immediately after Portugal’s game in Azerbaijan (I guess) on the 7th and United play on 11-th. Azerbaijan is on the amber list (same as Portugal), so he still needs to isolate for 5 days, right? Or is he exempt from that rule for some reason?

Btw he might be double-jabbed and good to go but I don’t know if we can find that kind of personal and sensible information.

I’m almost certain that it will have been arranged for all of the professional players to be fully vaccinated. The players and staff in my favourite team Oswestry were vaccinated before travelling to play in the Euro conference matches. I can’t imagine English Premier league would be be behind the Welsh !

      • Otieno says:

Bruno (or anyone else amber) has to have a negative test on day 2 (or before) and then he is ok to resume as normal

        • Tornado says:

Both of these are not true.
According to various sources 1/3 of PL players refuse to have their jabs and therefore are not vaccinated.
Also, If you come back from amber listed country you need to self-isolate for 10 days. Everyone needs to do 2 tests, on 2nd and 8th day. There is the test to release scheme that allows people to be in isolation for 5 days instead of 10. The rule you mentioned re amber listed countries actually applies for GREEN listed countries.

        • Kralin says:

          Well said Tornado.

And how simple everything would be if a couple of red flags appeared by key personnel.

        • Frenchie says:

I need to correct that Tornado, that isn’t the rule.
If you come back from an amber-list country and you’re double vaccinated, you don’t have to quarantine/self-isolate.
You just need to have a day 2 test , not a day 8 one, and then self-isolate only if that test is positive.
I know because I just came back from France a couple of weeks ago (after it went from amber+ to amber) and I know the rules by heart now!
What you describe, the self-isolation for 10 days, day 2 and day 8 tests, test to release etc.. applies only to people coming back from aber countries who are NOT double vaccinated.

        • Tornado says:

          Hi Frenchie. Check comment 13.1smile

        • OK, all clear then
          This is from today….

        • OddDane says:

These forced quarantine hotels at own costs are extreme use of state power in democracies I think… Norway had a similar regime, and to no surprise they were spreading more covid than precenting – often due to staff going in with contagion and creating spreader events which were amplified by cramming people together in one place…

Too much time to tinker in these int’l breaks, so tempting to click that WC. Having CR7, big Luke, Salah and TAA seems plausible… gamer4 gamer mail
