International break time always means one thing, GABO time!

This mostly passive aggressive panel was filled with our fearless feared leader Init, Rosco, who after only one week of doing Init’s site duties needed a therapist and GP who tries to always be nice, but has been sneaking in snarky comments on the site. With a crazy first few gameweeks and a crazy transfer window to boot, there is certainly a lot of questions when it pertains to fpl that we all probably have. I have asked once again on the site for any in particular you might want answered and have included the ones I could that were not addressed in other questions.

    Anyone a week Into there WC being activated?

    Trying to stay strong and keep my WC.

    Thoughts on the following moves for GW4

    Barnes and Ings to Gray and Lukaku?

      I’m holding out from the WC as got 2 FT for this week.

  3. WC and still tinkering. Son and Pukki (age) or Grealish/Torres and DCL (injuries?).

    • The latter pair/trio – Grealish/Torres & DCL.

      You’re worried about Pukki’s age? I’d be more worried about the team he plays in laugh .

  4. I have taken a -4 hit to do:

    Bruno & A Armstrong to Torres & Lukaku

    Have 0.8mil itb

    Do I need a WC to fix rest of team up?

    • Pog is the only one in the 11 I’d be worried about

    • Pogba to Greenwood/Jota for a -8, you know you want to. blum

      • I have 0.8mil to spend.

        Where could I spend that in my defence? Christensen gives me some Chelsea defence?

    • I would play the Pog, not heap further woe upon yourself by taking a -8. The Pog may be good for an assist or two this GW and you cn retire him before GW5 if need be.

        I traded Barnes to Pog after GW1 chacing points. Haven’t been happy with him in team

        • Entirely up to you. The three semi-obvious replcements – Jota, Greenwood, Torres – all come with an element of risk. You have one of them already and Jota isn’t possible for you at the moment. Is Greenwood worth a -8?

          Re the Chelsea defence I’d wait until GW7.

    • Dane, what if one of those breaks a leg at some stage?
      The carousel will be crashed laugh

    • I can’t do a Lukaku / Ronaldo rotation. I’ve already got both !

      • How’s the rest of the team looking though?

        • Defence is rough but I’ve got 0.6itb for GW5 to improve it. GW4 team is :
          Sanchez
          TAA, Ayling, Duffy
          Salah, Ben, Torres, ESR
          Lukaku, Antonio, Ronaldo

      • Technically you could still rotate them though wink

  6. Hey guys
    I have wildcarded and have been tinkering all week. I think this is the team I will be going with. My questions are
    1. Is dropping TAA to get another proper midfielder in sensible? I have Torres atm but am still a bit concerned about rotation. What do people think about the points potential for Torres over TAA?

    2. I am also wondering about whether to switch Greenwood for Jota given CR7’s return?

    3. Regulion seems a decent shout but wondering about switching to Christensen. Though maybe that could wait until Chelsea’s horrendous few weeks are past…

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    • That defence is horrible.

    • I think you’ll have to choose between Ronnie + Lukaku, if you go Luk get Bruno back. As Smash says that defence is really bad.

    • If you go Gray or a 6.0 mid like Sarr you can upgrade that 1-2 man defensive line smile

      E.g. Coady and White from Duffy and Amartey will just cost you just +0.7…

      • Instead of Torres that is.

        • Thanks guys. Really helpful. Had really wanted CR7 Luk and Salah though is proving tricky to make it work. I may look at Gray though instead of Torres as that may help. Decisions decisions decisions….

    • 1 trent is better than torres
      2. Sideways transfer
      3. Reguilon better and more nailed than Christensen

    • 1) I see them both scoring really well this season. TAA probably offers better balance in terms of team structure.

      2) If Firmino is out with a hamstring injury for a few games Jota is as good as it gets as an asset. His numbers are better than Salah. It remains to be seen how Greenwood adapts, he’s playing well but sure he will have to adapt when Ronaldo comes in so it’s tough to say.

      3) I think you need more cash in defence personally as I said yesterday. Your defence does not have the back up to go Christensen and Reg is decent but a number one defender I’m not sure on that
