Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19
Having heard from the positive bunch, we now move onto the ones who are not so much, which should be fun… To be fair, we’ve been massively judgemental and quick to conclude based on a one line response. We shall let you judge for yourselves whether we were right or not… #wewere 😉
Welcome to all, from the Glass is half empty club….

Or alternatively, we have the (big) DGW’s in pretty picture format in isolation, courtesy of Rosco;
Can Pep claim the assist for that one?
Sterling cap ahead of Kun, anyone?
+1 im in. lets do this
More points for goals too plus cleanies –> MORE POINTS!!!! 😆
indeed. might not likely start both games but i think its very likely he ends up with more points than agu over the dgw
Same goes for Kun though, both have a slight risk of not starting both, however I think they just might both start both….
seriously considering bringing sterling in for hazard…………..good or bad move?
It probably is given their respective form. However, it’s a shame to lose a DGW player. What’s your current team?
I would definitely have Sterling this week (ha Init ), it’s just that I wouldn’t want to lose Hazard, I feel both of them will do great things!!! Any other way to get Sterling in your side?
Sterling hatty…. Oh hallowed be thy rifle…
What on earth does that mean?
Was a reference to his gun tattoo, “I shoot with my right foot so it has a deeper meaning” was something he said about it… Bloody stupid thing to get a gun tattoo…
Zed, it had something to do with his dad, think he was shot and died.
Yeah I just remembered, his dad was shot to death when he was very young… Still, I wouldn’t get a gun tattoo because of that, I’d get something that is against guns… Perhaps a text “I love you dad” or something to that effect!
Ah, understood. Strange tattoo all the same
Current sterling form might actually favour him over Kun?
I’m tempted, he has 8 double digit hauls this season to Aguero’s 4 and better points per match! Surely has a higher ceiling than Aguero, seems a bit strange to say it but the stats do back it up!
He’s my captain this week.
How about next week? 😉
He doesn’t play in GW33.
It was a joke, no one plays this week, GW32 is next week… Oh dear, I need to go back to the drawing board with me jokes
Using the free hit this week. Should I activate now and bring in some of the ones who are most likely to rise in price like sterling and aguero?
Yes
Yes absolutely, also bring in the cheapest players, like defs Simpson and Connolly, who will be your bench fodder, although during IBs there are normally not many price rises so I think you’re not in a hurry… Today were no price rises for instance, but you never know, Hazard is also quite close to a rise
Yes and do as suggested. I started by bringing in the cheap players (the two 3.8 defenders plus a 4.2 midfielder (Romeu)) then seeing what I had l left. Get a 3.9 goalie if you haven’t already + Quaner if you’re playing a 3/5/2 or other variation that ends in a 2.
Then it’s good to just shuffle the pieces around, like a plot map in an ops room.
+1 done the exact same thing
Alright folks!
This international break has been great in giving time to those of us on FH or WC / this international break has been torturous for giving too much time to those of us on FH or WC!!
Sometimes too much time just means you end up over thinking things! I’ve often observed that those who simply go with the flow or do the obvious end up the ones that get the most success, and those of us who spend too much time stressing over every permutation end up frustrated and thinking ‘if only I had went with draft 436 instead of draft 123 etc.
With that in mind I’ve put together my latest FH team, it keeps things simple:
1. Players in form
2. Good spread of funds
3. Ignored ‘posible’ Rest and rotation (we just don’t know)
It might look a little ‘template’, it may have a few players who only get 1 game, it even contains a player with a single game ( shock horror!) but IMO it looks pretty decent. There are caveats (Zaha being fit for example) it will probably be tweaked (definitely.. maybe) but the core will likely remain the same.
Anyway, I’ve babbled I’m too much now! Would love some input just Incase I’ve over looked anything obvious, and as you can see, I do have other options!! 😉
Yes, that’s good. I have Zaha in my current draft, though I only have players with 2 games. I like the Stephens pick as it’s probably wise to have one bench player guaranteed two games. I haven’t brought him in yet.
I know what you mean about over-thinking.
In a work meeting yesterday I was pondering a 4-5-1 side, with Kun as the spearhead.
That could work well, so many times in these doubles we see defenders score epic points!
One draft of mine crazily had three Chelsea defenders (to enable Kane up front, Hazard thrown over). It didn’t last long.
Sterling – Pogba – Hazard – Mili – D. Silva
Aguero
?
Yes, not bad at all.
I’m waiting on injury news about the two Man U forwards. That will dictate which way I finally swing I think. 3/4/3 still the most likely but have pondered other arrangements.
Exactly the reason I’ve not tinkered with the team since Tuesday when I pressed the FH button… There’s plenty of time to do that next week, want to relax now, no need to give yourself a useless headache now
I agree, although I know when I’m just sitting around I’ll invariably ‘have a play’!!
Yeah at the stage now where I’m waiting if Rashford will be fit. I know most of the players I want. Think I’ll go without Kane because of budget
I haven’t even pressed the button yet!
Kop you’re a maverick!!
No. I’m lazy.
