Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW27
Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW27. I hope you’re all enjoying this short respite from all things FPL. I used to hate the breaks, be it internationals or cups, these days I relish them; no pressure, no stress. I don’t even have to worry about Newcastle in the cup; you have to learn to see the positives in any situation.
Looking back over the GW26 scores, it’s not surprising that it was a high-scoring week; predictable wins, with predictable score-lines. At least for most teams. Whilst a win for Manchester City seemed a given, few could have seen them hit Chelsea for 6, least of all Chelsea. Elsewhere it was business as usual; Newcastle throw away a lead deep into injury time? Check. Liverpool and Manchester United picking up a clean sheet whilst also netting a much predicted 3 goal reply? Check and check again. Even Arsenal managed their predicted win with a predicted clean sh… oh wait a minute, nope scratch that last one (sorry owners of Kolašinac!).
So on to this week’s winners, as I said it was a high scoring week; it took a mammoth 17pts to take the top spot this week, a score achieved by both Mosc1928 and Mahelmy but it was Mosc192’s 19th minute first goal prediction (Pogba) that came closest (14mins) so he takes the prize this week! Mahelmy’s points have pushed him into the second spot in the table and within just 4pts of the overall league table summit, Mosc192 sneaked into 3rd and he is now just 6pts of the top – game on! The second spot was a close run affair; our very own Init and Swirly joining Eplnoob with a solid 16pts. Nice predicting there fellas. With just 10pts separating the league’s top 5, it looks like another season that could go down to the wire!
And so; Many Congratulations to Mosc192. Please email us on contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.
THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… Scoring couldn’t be simpler: Correct Score = 3 points Correct result = 1 point Correct First Goalscorer of the game-week = 5pts (Points are awarded on an ‘either/or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or 1 point for a Correct Result, these are never added together for a 4 point score.) Tie-Breaker In the event that two or more members are tied as winners for the week the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction of the time that the first goal of the week will be scored at. Nearest the pin wins.
The Rules… They are few; 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game of the game-week. Kick-off this week comes on Friday at 19:45 pm. Once all the games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s) will be announced in the following week’s competition article and each week our winner will walk away with an FF247 branded t-shirt! ). So just to recap all you need to do is; – Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each. – Tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week (and that can be from any game regardless of your other predictions) – Add in your time of the first goal of the week for any potential tie-breaker situation. Here are the fixtures, best of luck to you all!

Thanks for reading Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW27

Matt, Rosco & DMC. I am not one to quibble over points, but I think my FGS prediction of Pogba @ 19 min was overlooked.
Pogba scored at 14 min, so the score should have been 17 pts, not 12 pts. Sorry to cause a bit of bother. If you could check it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hello, I can only apologise, you are correct, we had you down as 15pts but you did indeed score 17pts! You’ll see that the article has been edited (or will be in a moment) and we’ll be sure to let DMC know and he’ll update the leaderboard!
Thanks, for the quick response. I thought my math was going to hell.
Haha no, you’re spot on mate, you keep us ‘young’ ones right!! You’ll also notice if you re-read the intro that you are in fact this weeks winner now so congratulations!
Mosc, Mahemly, and all, my apologies. Just checked and it gets worse!
It turns out that for some reason I swapped you two (the authorities should investigate this).
Mosc did in deed score 17 (not 15), but Mahelmy didn’t score 17, but 15! Confusing? Check it out yourselves in the picks below. So Mosc wins on 17, no need for tie break, and Mahelmy gets Digned, that is, -2, to end the week on 15 and T-shirtless!! Sorry mate
I still have Mahelmy on 17 but losing via the tie-breaker?! Seems like you were born for this team
Am I going mad?
Fulham v Man Utd 1 pt
Crystal Palace v West Ham 3 pts
Huddersfield v Arsenal 3 pts
Liverpool v Bournemouth 3 pts
Southampton v Cardiff 0 pts
Watford v Everton 0 pts
Brighton v Burnley 0 pts
Spurs v Leicester 1 pt
Man City v Chelsea 1 pt
Wolves v Newcastle 0 pts
Pogba=5 pts
That’s 12+5 = 17 pts
Oh god, I retire!
Yeah, that’s right, Mahelmy is now unDigned, still on 17 pts and still t-shirt less.
What a mess.
Matt and Rosco will be proud of you
My goodness, what a mess!
DMC, they hired you on purpose or what?
I never recount my points, maybe I should… or not. I’m trusting you guys 😉

I know I say it every week, but typical lazy Scouser! Would you like us to fill your benefits claim form in for you too? 😉
Adding to that, it could be argued that this is a breach of regulations. Section 3.1.5 specifically states: “Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each.”
I concur :ban:
Bog-off, i’m disabled and dying.
That explains the Doucouré pick! :hippo:
We aren’t the benefits officers Elle
New rule then Elle. If you die mid season you get a -10. That seems fair?
“Bog-off, i’m disabled and dying.” That’s not very nice
It was riffing on I’s post (‘typical lazy…’) I assume.
Made me chuckle.
You wouldn’t if it included you, I always thought that you were a bit more sensitive.
I’d raise anything that offends you with the folks running the site.
More surprised, that’s all.
Elle is ‘technically’ disabled, he does however have a sense of humour about it, hence my original comment to him and hence his subsequent response.
Try being disabled instead of being flippant ffs
It wouldn’t have been very nice if he had said ‘you’re disabled and dying’.
I guess he shouldn’t put himself down like that though – he can be anyone he wants to be 😆
I told you before, you needn’t talk to me child.
Christ, try to be a little less condescending.
Please get your mum or dad to explain my previous comments
Hahaha, have a day off.
You’ll have to explain them to me. Sadly ‘try being disabled instead of being flippant’ was far too intellectually complex for my simple parents.
You over-compensating for something?
What do you know about me, dickhead. I am disabled and my kidneys are failing so do one.
