Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW38
Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW38.
It is the final hurdle. The final week of the 2025/26 season. The final week of H&L prediction for the next few months.
Can you claim the final weeks prize? Are you still in with a chance of taking top spot on our overall table? Well make sure not to miss out on the final set of games and ruin it all.
We have withheld results again to keep you all in suspense on who might be claiming the Number One Predictor title this year!
Come back next week for all the results!
THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:
• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.
To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!
Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.
Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the weekly prize will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!
The Rules… 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded prize..
So, to recap, all that you need to do to play is:
• copy & paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each;
• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).
Here are the fixtures; best of luck to you all!

I still haven’t got my prize for most points in gameweek 1 prediction either.
Kruzcampo
I am still waiting for my prizes for GW 16 & GW 18.

I had to email for one GW and heard nothing back, I then had to email some GW’s later for another one and said I had not heard anything back from the first one, they said they send it all out at the end of the season.

Are those the prizes?

All prize requests have been submitted. I’ll chase up when they are getting sent out.

Running this site takes a lot of work and contributions from many people. I know/believe that everyone on here appreciates that and it is a part of why we all stay involved.
Personally I have to admit to being more of a consumer in the last couple of years and part-time poster. I did scramble my way to the FF247 Championship title so now it’s time to join the Big Boys
Having also been keenly involved in the H&L predictions, it would be great to see the final standings (I know I didn’t win )
Tbh the site seems to have lost some energy over the last couple of seasons. This is not a criticism of all the great organising team. It is more about me reflecting upon how much banter there used to be and the massive amount of posting by so many regulars. It’s a lot less now.
What has happened?
I don’t know. People are busy and get involved in different things of course. But I feel we are shrinking and we need to do something .
What will make the group grow and get involved much more? Do the organisers need more help?
What will get more of us engaged?
I certain don’t have all the answers but I’d like to see this site regain its vigour and energy.
Brainstorming anyone?
Sorry if this sounds a like a bit of a ramble – I’m just a concerned regular wanting the best for us all. (And I’d like to know the H&L positions )

I agree.
I have tried to be more involved this past season though.

I too have noticed the decline. I came here after FFF site went away years ago, many of the regulars there were here as well and I have worried the same fate would befall this place too. I like the format here of posting questions and advice. Back and forth discussions. I don’t know if I would continue playing if all there is to offer advice was youtube stuff and sites with paywalls. That said I do realize this site costs money and I would be one that was willing to “subscribe” if it kept the open forum type of vibe alive.

Appreciate the post. We deliberately scaled back the amount of content this season and we did explain that at the beginning of this season. As a result there will naturally be a drop off.
It’s purely down to time and the amount of help that we can call upon to write articles etc. People’s circumstances change over time, mine certainly have and as such I suppose we faced a choice. Carefully managed decline in content seemed much more preferable to simply closing up shop like Cheat or First had to. This way we are able to still be here but sans having to commit to churning out 7 articles a week and the time and pressure that puts everyone under.
Cost wise it’s no issue. A few sponsored articles a month takes care of that so no reason to go all pay wall as many others have.
It’s more just keeping it manageable for those involved and I think we have found a happy medium in that respect.
