Interactive Fantasy Football Fixture Tracker 2015-16
It’s that time again folks; T minus two weeks or so and counting! Many FPL players pick their initial team based chiefly on last season’s form, others on as many big names as possible (with the necessary accompanying threadbare bench), while yet others have a noticeable bias towards players from their supported team (Kop does NOT approve!). The serious FPL player will select their starting 15 based on a wide range of factors however, not least of which are the fixtures.
With that in mind I’ve updated and improved the season-long tracker a few people seemed to find useful last year. This lets you choose how difficult each fixture is and displays appropriate colours as an easy visual guide – much like the tracker on the site except that it shows the whole season and is interactive. I’ll give a brief outline of how it works here but there are instructions in the tracker too and there’s a link to a video explaining it at the bottom.
You start by grouping together teams of similar ability, such as putting Arsenal, Chelsea, City and United in Level 1. Last season you could put teams in 4 different groups, but now you can place them in anything from 3 to 10 groups depending on how detailed you want to get. This way you could even have Chelsea in a category all on their own if you consider them to be that much better than their rivals for example.
Next comes the other upgrade from the first tracker – last season you were limited to having 5 colours represent the different matches, but now you can choose between 3, 5 or 7. After you make your choice you will then decide how difficult you rate each match between teams of different groups. When you have finished you can select the Fixtures Tab and all of the colours there will have updated to be specific to your own ratings. These can be changed as often as you like, and indeed should be updated as the season goes on to account for changes in teams’ forms.
The link to the tracker itself is here:

CC
It most definitely is.
I’ll be customising mine this evening when I get the kids to bed
Thanks again.
Thanks for the fixture ticker and article
A or B…
A) Cedric, Depay & Costa
or
B) Ivan, Henderson, Rooney
B
@Meloncat I will take A, but mostly because I don’t like those glasses on the other 3.
Hi everyone, its been a long long time 😉 In cricket season mode at the moment.
Haven’t even drafted a team yet, but scrolling through the lists and no one seems to have cabbie in their team?! Could be this years siggy?
*Cabaye
Cabbie was auto correct, not a nickname :big-lol:
At least it’s a better nickname than Kebab! 😉
I think many have been put off by Palace’s opening fixtures but since he’ll be on set pieces that may not affect his output too much. He’s certainly not a bad pick.
cheers bihom, definitely not feeling overloaded just starting to draft 😉
Hi Hazard, will definitely be keeping a close eye on him. I plan on bringing him in for Payet after GW7, which is when West Ham’s nice fixtures end and Palace’s start. Of course that’s so far away though that anything could happen between now and then.
Yeah not a bad plan actually, cheers cal.
If i can find 0.5 mil ill probably go for milner/henderson as 4th mid.. but with costa, aguero etc it will be hard to find cash!!
Well ive finally got myself a team that ime happy with. I cant see this changing before the season starts in 2 weeks so i thought id write a little about my choices.
Cortouis — Ive decided to go with 1 strong GK throughout the season this year and it was a toss up between Cortouis and Cech. Ive decided to go with Cortouis as a believe chelsea have the stronger defence and at 5.5m hes a great way into Chelsea.
Clyne — Ive basicaly chosen Clyne for his attacking abilitys. I think he will do great this season and at 5.5m i think he could match the likes of Coleman and Ivanovich on points.
Cedric — is another RB that i think could be great for points. So far this pre season he has a goal and 4 assists ( i think) and if he can carry that form on into the season he could be great value.
Richards — is again another RB that could offer an attacking threat. He was a great young talent a couple of years back and ime really hoping at 4.5m he could be a bargain.
Mane — Southampton have a great start to the season and ime really hoping to capatilize on Mane. I know not many people will pick him in my fantasy so i hoping hes a good differential.
Walcott — Well the stats speak for them selfs and like all of you ime just hoping he gets the nod up top, or even secures game time.
Sterling — Great little player with huge potential which ime hoping Aguero and Silva bring out. Ime hoping he has a great season this year and i truly believe he will be up there with the big pointers come the end.
Richie — ill admit this is my gamble this season, but 15 goal and 15 assists last season cant be ignored. I just hope he carrys his form over into the prem and this could be a great gamble.
Costa — what can i say.., the guy knows how to score.
Rooney — Ime hoping for a fantastic seasob of Rooney this year. LVG has given him the nod to play up top, and Rooney himself has set him self a task of 20 goals, so ime happy.
Benteke — Liverpool needed a goal scorer and that exactly what this guy is. Benteke can only do better at liverpool and at 8.5m hes a bargain.
Subs — O’shea, Morgan, Wanyama
Ant
Good reasoning.
Get Morgan out though and go for Huth instead.
Yeah I like this team. Are you worried like myself that over 50% have Hazard like myself?
Nope. Not everyone is going to be able to have all the big players. So where they have Hazard i may have Rooney, or Costa. This year is going to be very interesting.
I love the reassurance! I will prob try and fit Hazard in but think I’m going without
Hey Ant great break down team looks good
Thanks mate.
Good stuff Ant, now go charge your phone. 😉
It was at 63% when he started typing all that.
The customisable fixture tracker was my favourite FPL tool last year so thank you for the updated version!
No problem San
Could i have a couple of names for:
best cheap keeper? and opinions on: courtois + 4.0 OR 9 mil rotation??
4.5 defender choices??
best 5th mid?
thanks, everything appreciated :worthy:
Totally undecided myself on the GK and 4.5 def options, but at least think i’ve settled on Abdi (Wat, 5.0) for my 5th mid.
yeah, its a hard one trying to balance when prices keep rising year after year!!
Can i ask your reasons for abdi?? saw maybe 3 championship games last season so I’m a bit clueless!!
Scores quite a few goals (9 and 12 over past two seasons) and is on free kick and corner duty too I believe.
I think Courtois is good value for Chelsea coverage. And historically I’ve been a fan of cheap keepers
yeah, 5.5 for courtois vs 7.0 for terry/ivan seems good value
hazard
I like Ruddy and Butland and I’ll rotate this season (probably call it wrong most weeks but I’ll live with that). Got Azpilicueta so the only ever-present GK I’d want, Courtois, is not really needed.
Lots of good defenders at that price – Francis/Mings/Martin/Olsson/O’Shea/Huth etc.
Depends on what you want to spend on that fifth mid mate. Jedinak is nice and reliable at 5.0 and should still be on pens and some free kicks (maybe).
Cheers GP,
Ill draft both, but leaning more and more towards courtois!!
Which of the bottom teams do you think will be hardest to score against??
Fifth mid is always hard- guess we will find out a few weeks in!! on set pieces could be a decided though, cheers gp
hazrad
Based on the fact that the back five – Ruddy, Whittaker, Martin, Bassong and Olsson – all have PL experience, I’d say Norwich.
Yep, the Norwich defenders are very experienced at this level… in conceding goals 😉
Although I reckon they will be quite solid at home.
Yeah I think both Bournemouth and Watford will concede a fair amount. Norwich should be more solid.
