Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 10 FPL News: And we are off!! Game-week 10 gets us going with a foregone conclusion, as Arsenal will grab the 3 points when they travel to the Stadium of light Darkness. That “one team rolling over and playing dead” fixture is followed by six more. United look to bore Burnley off the pitch, Boro and Bournemouth tangle in another battle of low expectations. In other action, the best defence (Spurs) faces Leicester, who can’t defend, so much so that even United scored on them…4 times. Watford and Hull duel in a battle of fugly kits, The Baggies face first place City at the Hawthorns and Palace finish the day off with a match up against the “WE ARE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE” Liverpool.
Sunday gives us two more fixtures. Struggling for a win Everton faces the slightly improving Hammers. In the late game, Chelsea and their suddenly vaunted attack look to stop the Saints from continuing their march up the table.
Monday closes the game-week off with a made for Halloween fixture, as only the freaks will be out and about to watch Stoke and Swansea scare each other with their bad play.

    Beaker says:

Feel like I need Chelsea coverage

    Which is better

    1. Hazard And Austin or
    2. Redmond(or similar) and Costa
This is a for my fourth midfielder however I already have aguero and lukaku

It always feels good to have a player left to play on monday night..go allen.

    Pancho says:

83 + Lukaku’s 3 bonus = 86 with Grant to play. Looking for a CS and a penalty save tomorrow. Too much to ask??? smile

Captain Dicky and His C Men says:

Rashford to Musa a good move? Leicester with some decent fixtures but obviously rotation risk. Or better to go with Austin, Rondon or Wilson or stick?

      inittowinit says:

Yeah I’d go with another there Captain. With Okazaki back in favour again now they’ve got 4 forwards who all have a decent case for being selected. No telling week to week which pair he’ll pick.

    Evening all,

Hope you’ve all had a good week. 83pts and green arrows for a change for me so pretty happy apart from on thing:-

What is it with the mass Walcott sales?

He could be fit for the game on Tuesday. These price falls are becoming annoying. Already lost 0.1 on son this week when he dropped despite only being around 75% on fix which messed up what I had in mind. Don’t want to lose another 0.1 on wally too so…..

Son, wally and rashford to hazard, bolasie & Austin for a -4?

    Good idea or not

    Cheers

      hammers says:

Or maybe gundogan instead of bolasie seeing as I already have big rom

      • Captain Dicky and His C Men says:

Price falls probably due to impatience, blank against Middlesborough then injured. Gundogan I have thought about but with KDB back in action he may get rotated, moved further back. He’s nice and cheap though! I have Bolasie, why sell? Cheap and is consistently bringing in the points. Usually if Lukaku scores Bolasie is getting the assist. Everton with some tough fixtures coming up though.

“What is it with the mass Walcott sales?” *

      * proposes to sell Walcott 😉

Hi hammers, just pulling your leg there smile I think they’re good moves all things considered. Austin could pay the hit off easily if we assume Hull not getting battered for once this week was actually an aberration. As for Wally I can’t speak for everyone but I just took it as an opportunity to double up on Liverpool given their fixtures as opposed to Arsenal’s.

      • hammers says:

        Hi innit,

Re wally – if you can’t beat em then join em! Tbh I was only thinking of selling him to save bank some team value as I’d already lost some on son this week.

I will defo be bringing Austin in, Just can’t decide on the other 2. Hazard looks on form again so would quite like him jus got to decide between bolasie and gundogan really.

What are thoughts on those 2?

Already have rom and their fixtures aren’t great whereas city’s are awesome, not sure is gundogan is a sure starter though

        • inittowinit says:

If you’re relying on him as a 4th mid then I think it’s risky. Gun that is. He should start but whether he does or not is a different matter. He seems to thrive when given a more forward role but if both KDB and Silva start then he may well be left fighting for one of the DM spots. I’d probably take Bolasie just on surety of starting. He’s looked good every time I’ve seen him. Probably won’t get you a goal a game but for the price he looks involved enough for a goal or assist more often than not.

    RedVT says:

Hey fellas, is it mad to be thinking about getting rid of Jaku + Deeney and brining in Heaton + Austin for a -4 this early? I can just afford it if I do it tonight before price changes. I’d be keeping Heaton + Austin long term probably, but I’m worried about catching an injury during the week and painting myself into a corner. I can limp along with Pickford for a while longer and just get Austin later in the week for free, but I’ve been trying to upgrade Jaku for weeks and feel like now might be my best chance. Team is linked if you want to see it, thanks!

      Beaker says:

I’ve just brought in those 2. Austin started on the bench last time v inter – either way it would be very unlucky for either to get an injury midweek so I’d go for it unless you have other options

      • RedVT says:

Thanks Beaker. I’m really tempted and if I had 2FTs I’d probably do it. Hell, I still might! Just trying to play the smart game and not trip myself up. If something happens to Sanchez this week for instance, it would be better to move him out for Hazard or something rather than using a transfer on my backup keeper. Hate to lose the money as Jaku will drop as well, but in the end points are what count, not how much money I have.

    • 120.2
      inittowinit says:

Hi Red, get what Beaker is saying but it’s not just them getting injured it’s the other 13 as well, as you know. Personally I think you can get by with Pickford for the next 2 and save the hassle of a potential -8.

And we all know you only said view my link so you could show off your fabulous score this week laugh

What it did highlight to me though was that you aren’t even in any of our leagues?!

      • RedVT says:

Haha, there were lots of big scores this week around here- my score wasn’t all that impressive in the end and I’m all out of players with another match to go! I was actually just being lazy so I didn’t have to write it out. laugh

I hear you init and I think that’s the sensible thing to do. I took my first hit of the season last week and it paid off, but it’s a bad habit to get into. I’ll be priced out of Heaton for the time being but I read that Butland’s had a setback so that means Grant will be in play for the next 3 or 4 weeks anyway. Thanks man, appreciate the feedback.

        • inittowinit says:

What’s Grant got to do with the price of fish smile Don’t be taking a hit for a keeper mate, Heaton or Grant….

        • RedVT says:

If I don’t get Heaton before he rises and sell Jaku before he drops, I’ll be priced out. Would just do one transfer this week and keep throwing Pickford in the firing line.

        • Horse says:

@Red I think Heaton is the much better option if you can afford it. Rotates nicely with Pickford too

        • RedVT says:

Thanks Horse. Heaton is the man and I’d probably play him for the rest of the season. Just weighing up the risk of taking a hit this early and getting burned with an injury or two later in the week. I’d have to do it tonight to afford it.

        • Horse says:

I am in a similar boat. I am getting Heaton in for Jaku. I need to do the deal tonight. To raise the money I am going to cash in Capeou and get a cheapy with my second transfer. Looking at Fletcher (4.4) or De Roon (4.3) or Obiang (4.4).
Anyone know who is the most nailed on? I noticed Fletcher only played 50 mins this GW

          #excitingtransfers

        • RedVT says:

I shipped Capoue for Fletcher a couple weeks ago Horse. Didn’t see that he only got 50 minutes today, but he’s the captain and has to be pretty nailed, right? Not sure about the other two.

        • Horse says:

          Cheers Red. Clicking confirm

        • RedVT says:

Ahh man, it’s so tempting to get the players now while I can afford them Horse. So many matches this week and potential problems though. You had 2FTs I’m assuming, yes?

        • Horse says:

Yep I had 2 transfers. My team is in shape and I am going on holiday on Tuesday. What could possibly go wrong before Saturday????

        • RedVT says:

          Hahaha.

Safe travels Horse, enjoy your holiday. smile

      • TheDreamers says:

Notice he didn’t answer the leagues question Init

        Just stirring smile

      • RedVT says:

As far as the leagues go init, I don’t want my American friends finding out where I get my edge so I don’t enter any leagues that might lead them to FPL sites. Selfish?? You bet, but there’s no time for niceties with ML rivals!! :biggun:

        • inittowinit says:

Get that Red. We are plastered on the first page of Google for most fantasy football related searches though so it’s hardly a clandestine cover laugh

        • RedVT says:

Yeah, you’re right. Just not putting it on a plate for them. They can find out about FF247, price change sites, and good ol’ Ben Dinnery by digging around on their own, just like I did.

          F*cking lazy Americans. laugh

        • inittowinit says:

Fair enough Red! You’re part of the family here so just looked odd that you weren’t even in the Regs one. Not that I am even, did ask and got told to bugger off which was nice! Sure we can sneak you in at the end if you’re placing well enough for a prize.

        • RedVT says:

Aww, thanks man. I love this place and followed over from the old FFC site, was so happy you guys decided to start up your own thing. I actually join the 247 leagues each year hoping the names won’t be a giveaway, but then back out of them if they are.
