Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 13 FPL News: If you scored big in GW12 or for that matter simply respectable, you are either a psychic or somehow life led you down a path where you turned to into a Victor Anichebe owner. Think we will take the low score and a clean conscience, but that’s just us and no one said we were not spiteful. Anyway, Burnley gets their tokus handed to them by City to start the game-week. That is followed by four 3pm games. Hull take on the aliens who stole Liverpool’s attacking talents in West Brom. We also see the champs host Boro, the Swans tangle with Palace in the EPL’s version of Sunday league football and poor man’s West Brom, Liverpool host the suddenly alive Black Cats who by the way have used more than their allotted 9 lives to survive relegation over the last couple of seasons. Saturday is closed by the best fixture on paper when first place Chelsea tangles with Spurs. Expect Tottenham to try and keep the status quo as they have already reached their end of season goal. Behind Arsenal and back in the Europa zone right where they belong.
Sunday brings us 4 fixtures. Watford has an easy one as they get the Allen-less Stoke side in the opening game of the day. Arsenal get back to their scoring ways against The Cherries and that is followed up by the last 2 fixtures. United look to gain ground on the top teams when they face West Ham and Southampton sorta welcomes back their former manager when Everton pay a trip to the St. Mary’s stadium.

Damn, I spend too much time browsing Aliexpress last night for a bargain than I forgot to check FF. Coutinho dropped in price

Does anyone think he’ll drop again this week? And if so how soon?

I originally wanted to get rid of Jagielka this week but guess it’s gonna have to be Coutinho.

hi guys, some feedback required. 64 points for GW, pity for my skipper Coutinho getting injured and it could have been so much better.
non the less green arrows all the way and up to 51k.
I am leaning towards Pedro for countinho replacement and then Costa for Lukaku for next GW, I do not have enough funds. in the last 5 GW’s Hazzy has scored 47 points and Pedro in the same period has scored a decent 42 points.
I also think City defence is shocking and Chelsea will pose a threat and score at the Etihad, I usally wait for Friday pressers before transfers but Countinho price might drop with his huge exodus

    Hi all,

just came back from week-end and discovered that my dear captain Coutinho is injured.
Who do you consider to substitute him, in similar price or less?
I have seen mention of Siggy and Pedro.
Any other idea? Nolito, Sterling, Wally, Eriksen, Mane, Milner?

    • 113.1

@Vinci, Nolito is not a guaranteed starter and while he plays well for the team, he is not necessarily a great FPL choice at least so far. Milner is intriguing because of pens, but one would argue his position is a problem, except if you watch the games and notice he plays like a winger. However he has only produced 1 assist and no goals from open play, so it seems he is virtually doing nothing in fpl terms except for all the penalty goals, which account for all 5 of his goals by the way, so probably a miss for me, unless you believe there will be a significant uptick in his open play numbers or the penalties will continue. If he was listed as a defender he be an absolute must have right now. Sterling has not grabbed anything since GW6, so hard to justify. Wally has the shadow of Giroud over him, but if he continues to score he will surely retain his spot, so as long as he is playing well, I think for his price he is an option. Eriksen is a tough one, because we know he is capable of a run and his fixtures in 3 of the next 4 look tasty, but he has been terrible value this season. So I would only invest on a hunch or if I watched the games and felt that he was on the cusp of really hitting some form. Mane is pricy, but probably will get you some points, just have to stick with him through the rough patches. A bit of a poor man’s Sanchez, a lot of blanks but when he delivers the goods it usually makes up for the blanks in between.

Thanks a lot Mito, brillant structured analyzis! Didn’t expect a so thoroughful answer, thanks!

Since I cannot extend to Mané (0.2 too expensive), I think Pedro is the best candidate for me… the best alternative being Wally. I already have Hazard and Sanchez, so I would prefer some other team, but I cannot see which one… I would love to see a promicing Spurs mid option since I have no Totenham player, but Eriksen, Alli or Son just seem too risky…

        Thanks again!

Hi guys haven’t been on in a while. Hope everyone’s doing better than me. Not having the best of seasons so far. Any help with this lot would be appreciated. Coutinho need to come out. And bony. Concerned with gundogan getting playing time. I have 2ft and 0.4 itb. Cheers

    • 114.1

@Jumper, depends what you prefer really. Do you feel like you really want to have Kane for the next several weeks? Because that will impact of the sale. If you however are looking for more of a comparable replacement to Coutinho than obviously that puts Kane out of reach.

Coutinho to Siggy or Theo is a possibility and that would save a little than you could try Bony to Defoe or Rondon or someone of that ilk or you could drop Coutinho to Fer, Capoue, Zaha or Phillips and have them or Gundogan rotate for now and drop Bony for Kane. Not sure what your Coutinho is worth so a couple of the options might be too pricey. There is also Costa though instead of Kane if that becomes an issue. If you have any spare money left over maybe you can move Gundogan for Moses or one of the other options mentioned above.

Thank mito. Was looking at costa as he’s bang on form but I have hazard. I think if I could swap hazard out and have costa upfront instead I would. But don’t think I’ll do that. I think since I have hazard Kane it is. To be fair a lot of cheaper mids banging in goals so happy to downgrade coutinho for now.
