The deadline bell for GW14 rang last night and those with Palace defenders have spent the day celebrating and patting themselves on the back.
But now its time to look forward to tonight’s nine other games, which offer huge potential to move higher in your leagues, or alternatively slide lower!
So, the team sheets are about to be revealed, with that dreaded word we all hate, namely “rotation”, ringing in our ears and causing untold stress and worry.
Who will Wenger rest? Will RvP be fit to face Everton? What surprises has the Special One got in store? Will Dzeko get the chance to break West Brom hearts again?
And then down to the action.
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Game Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for the second part of GW14 from all at FF247!
Ok. Post my team on a fresh page:
Guzan – McGregor
Clyne – Vlaar – Terry – Kos – Turner (Car)
Walcott – Ramsey – Ravel – Gerrard – Brady
Lukaku – Suarez – Kun
What changes would you make? If anye? Both Clyne and Vlaar are doubts for the next game.
Considering to either replace Vlaar or Guzan. Guzan to Vorm and Vlaar I don’t know yet. Any ideas?
Aaah yes, just 1 FT left and ummm 1.6m in bank.
Why replace Guzan, is he injured?
Distin, Chiriches, and Ridgewell have some decent fixtures until WC. I’d rather replace Clyne than Vlaar since both are apparently at 75% to play, nicer Villa schedule.
Actually with 1.6 I guess you don’t need to go with cheapies, you could get someone like Coleman who looks to rise.
Yeah, not just getting someone because he is rising though. I’ve had Coleman. He’s good. But would be silly to get him next since they’re playing Arsenal next. Sort of a risk. After that they have really nice fixtures though.
I’d stick with Guzan over Vlaar personally. Guzan was as vital to Villa staying up as Bentekkers fr me!
Vlaar doing well though and bought him at 4.4m. When fit and Villa keep CS he always gathers BPS (7 already). Terry with a majestic 14 BPS is still the master though. Even though Chelsea leak goals he still manages to do well.
I’ve got JT
Lol, just noticed Gazzinga conceded 5 goals in 120 minutes, and he made 0 saves. HAHAHA!
Is that a record?
Well, it’s certainly a confidence booster!
Any timeframe on Kelvin Davis yet?
I have Remy is it worth changing him to Lukaku for GW 16?
Or I can use 2FT for a move for Rooney until the Jan WC
Wish I had never done the Lukaku – Remy bandwagon now not performed.
I’m glad I’ve kept my trust in Lukaku even though he failed for quite a long while. Felt it would come good and the second/third strikers at Everton are just non existent at the moment. Didn’t Kone injure himself? Jelavic can’t score. 😉
So a good idea then Raziel?
on the keeper note another idea Mignolet – Howard next GW but it would mean double Everton at the back.
Hey fellas the site has added a Set Pieces Takers tab.
https://fantasyfootball247.co.uk/set-piece-teakers-13-14/
Worth noting Yaya took city’s pen last night (wish he hadn’t!)
Didn’t see the game, but it happened after Aguero came off, right?
Saosin
Don’t he would have taken it had Aguero still been on.
Yeh Aguero had left the field Think Dzeko was on still though
Kun was off for like 4 minutes and replaced by Milner. Sometimes they decide on the field who feels the best (2nd and 3nd penalty takers). Wonder why Dzeko didn’t take it though.
Was soo gutted, the guy I’m trying to catch sold Aguero for Rooney this week but he has Yaya and I don’t :'(
Completely right Saosin. Yaya did take it with Dzeko and Milner on.
It’s a great idea btw, I’m often trying to figure out who’s set piece taker for each team etc and need all the help I can get with my struggle to stay in the Banterbury Leagues :p
Looks great Mito! Just a remark: as regards to Spurs I saw Walker take a couple of direct free kicks (vs United) and Vertonghen (in previsou GWs) took quite a few as well. As for Villa..haha I liek how they do not have a plan B for penalties. Either the beast or nothing!
Very nice!!!
James well done to you also , still in that top 4 in championship
Cheers bench!
Yeah, I’d be top still if I’d not lost to Gallant!
At least I’ve got “goal difference” on my side!
Nice darts btw last night Jimbo, know we’ve spoken today but I omitted to say congrats….
Cheers Cookie.
You did okay too?
Made up your mind on Rooney yet?
Yeah I think I’ve reached a decision!
And did you decide to procrastinate for a while longer?
I think I am sure of what to do, but I have nine days to sweat it out!!
Sounds complex, Blue.
I’m assuming you are collecting FTs then doing something significant.
I’m keeping it very simple myself. Trying not to over think it…
It was close though this week…
How was your GW mate?
James sitting 2nd behind cookie cranking up the pressure, reckon he will crack soon 😉
Help needed guys!
Current team
GK – Mignolet
DF – Coleman, Shaw, Mertesacker
MF – Lallana, Ozil, Ramsey, (Morrison)
SF – Suarez, Augero, (Rooney)
Subs – Kasami, Ward, Brayford
I have 2 FTs and £1.5 million in the bank
I like the current shape of my team, but my thinking is too let Kasami take Morrisons place, then replace Rooney with Frazer Campbell, as Cardiff visit West Brom, so I reckon he may score. What do other people think ?
What are the thoughts on Bannan from Palace? Looking to replace Morrison. Have 6.6 but could do with a cheapie if there’s no one else..
Sessegnon, Yaya, Ramsey and Whittingham are the other midfielders I have.
Sess and Whittingham have good fixtures, I reckon you can wait out the Morrison suspension and be set at midfield with Ravel playing against Sunderland. Might make more sense to replace Ravel right before Man United and Arsenal. I don’t see Bannan making it into your lineup ahead of any of your current midfielders in GW 15 or 16.
Issue is I can’t field a strong 11 with both Morrison and Rooney suspended..
Mignonette
Shaw (Goong to Ward) Terry, Jagielka, Baker, Mertasacker
Yaya, Ramsey, Sessegnon, Whittingham, Morrison (suspended)
Rooney (suspended), Kun, Suarez
I don’t see Whittingham scoring against the new look Palace at their home ground.
Ah that makes sense if you are keeping Rooney and just playing two up front. Bannan might be a good differential, would also consider Shelvey or El Ahmadi who have been returning points recently.
