Whatever it is, it’ll probably be more exciting than this will be. Sorry to start you off on a downer but we didn’t pick the televised fixtures. After that we have four 3pm games, the most notable of which, in terms of FPL, is probably Sanchez hosting Stoke. Saturday closes out with a Kun-less Man City visiting a clueless Leicester. Sunday begins with either Chelsea hammering West Brom or West Brom making our Sunday boring with a shutout. United and Spurs do battle after that, as do the Saints and ‘Boro. Klopp sees the week out when his lot look to hammer the Hammers

I see Miki scored today and I heard he was pretty lively.
Is it worth bringing him in seeing as utds fixtures look fairly good?

Oh Firminho! What are you doing? Is he doomed out on the left? Got my captain right this week but only one of three players scoring points. Losing ground rapidly in my mini league. Need to ship Jenkers at some point. Have taken three 4-point hits in the last four GW’s so don’t want to do any more. What to do? 1 FT and 0.1 ITB.
1. Firminho to Walcott/Sigurdsson/Antonio?
2. Jenkinson to Ake/Cedric
3. Hold the FT and transfer out Firminho and Jenkers for Chelsea defender and cheaper mid?
I feel your Firmino pain. I’m deliberating a hit to ditch him myself. Maybe wait a week and do Firmino to Mane and Jenkinson to 4.5 defender?
I was leaning towards holding – I do like the Firminho to Mane suggestion.
Bit the bullet and transferred Firminho out for Siggy. Leaves me 1.3ITB to do Jenkers to Alonso after this GW. Or Jenkers to Vertonghen or Van Dijk.
Have a feeling Firminho is going to punish me now!
Aargh, rubbish game week, rubbish team, so many issues! Could get Origi or Llorente without a hit, but is no Spurs cover suicide? And want to get rid of Gundo, Stones, Firmino… Not had such a difficult decision in ages, any ideas?

It was Botany Bay in Chorley which isn’t too far from Manchester, I’m pretty sure someone in there has a wicked but subtle sense of humour and recently switched it there!
I’d like to think this was done on purpose, by a Man U fan no doubt given the location. Seeing the word Chorley reminded me of FFC as wasn’t there someone by that name that was a regular poster/site contributer? Whatever happened to FFC himself anyway? Not sure if any of this talk is welcome here, so apologies if not!
I’ve been there Init. Botany Bay I mean. We have friends who live in Chorley and they have taken us there twice when we’ve been visiting.

It’s all fine db. Chorley Rocks is who you mean. He got the hump with FFC over posting some stats or something and went off to set up his own site. Can’t remember what it’s called now. We did share a table with them at some awards ceremony a few years back though so it’s all cool. FFC finished because it was too much for him to run on his own and we were all writers there and basically started FF247 as we didn’t want the community to split as everyone had ‘known’ each other for so long. Thankfully we managed to preserve it and most still post regularly. You add some and lose some as you go along but that’s the way it is.
Yes that’s who I was thinking of, I see a few names on here that I recognise, I really enjoyed that site (nearly as much as as i enjoy this one :-)). I’ve reminisced before but never over an old Internet forum! Strange times. I still feel sorry for that young kid at the very end of it all, he was devastated.
