Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 15 FPL News: GW15 begins with Watford hosting Everton at lunchtime on Saturday. What are you having for lunch? Whatever it is, it’ll probably be more exciting than this will be. Sorry to start you off on a downer but we didn’t pick the televised fixtures. After that we have four 3pm games, the most notable of which, in terms of FPL, is probably Sanchez hosting Stoke. Saturday closes out with a Kun-less Man City visiting a clueless Leicester. Sunday begins with either Chelsea hammering West Brom or West Brom making our Sunday boring with a shutout. United and Spurs do battle after that, as do the Saints and ‘Boro. Klopp sees the week out when his lot look to hammer the Hammers

Anyone think Phil jones is worth a 4.7 punt? Especially as Valencia is suspended

      man u man says:

I’m thinking the same myself. I’d imagine he’s more nailed on than Rojo, but who knows. Is it worth changing cedric for him?

      • hammers says:

Ive got Cedric but wouldn’t swap him for Jones. Pretty sure Cedric would usually play. Just got rested as he played on Thursday in the Europa.

Obviously it depends who your other defs are

        • man u man says:

I have alonso, mc cauley, cedric, amat and kingsley. If I get him for cedric then i could upgrade kingsley.

Evening all. A pretty poor scoring week so I’m tempted to pull the trigger on my WC. How do these moves stack up?

      Kop Warrior says:

Niknak, if I was on a wildcard I don’t think I’d want Firmino. Not sure about Redmond either. Double Chelsea at the back could well pay off over the coming weeks.

      db says:

I wouldn’t wildcard at this point, Christmas around then corner then there’s the new year celebrations and don’t forget the return of Kun.
What other transfer options do you have?

      • niknak says:

        Kop,
I agree, I’m thinking of ditching Redmond and Firminho too. I could bring in Zaha but who else?

        DB,
I was thinking of holding on and bringing Kun back after his ban but after this weeks 38 points I’m getting twitchy!

      • db says:

Forget the new year crack obviously needs using before then. With 2.3 itb you could do friend to Alonso using your free transfer. I just think it’s worth holding onto to get Kun back in!

      captain-kingpin says:

I like the double Chelsea at the back.
I agree with Kop Warrior – ditch Redmond and Firminho – they’re not in the best of form.
Zaha is going strong by has two nasty fixtures.
Payet could be worth a cheeky punt!

      db says:

Can you do Redmond to Zaha and Friend to Alonso for a minus 4? Those 2 moves should improve your chances of points and will most certainly increase your teams value to help with bringing Kun back!

      • niknak says:

That works but might do Fuchs to Alonso instead as I think there might be a price drop tonight. Cheers for the thoughts, you’d persuaded me to stick with plan A and hold out on the WC for now.

        • niknak says:

Alonso in Fuchs out. Had to transfer out Magic to do that and went for a punt on Antonio. Has decent fixtures whereas Zaha doesn’t.

Niknak… I’m not sure about what the others are saying or what’s in your head.. but if you’ve still got a wildcard available.. burn it!.. I can’t think of a better time to get ahead then right now.. your moves aren’t what i’d do.. but I’d probably re-stack the deck either now or after this mid-week gameweek.. you lose your wildcard at the new year and get another one in its place.. It’s a comfort that many others aren’t afforded. set yourself up for a prosperous new year. Good Luck.

Night everyone, I hope gw15 hasnt treat you too bad. On 52pts and into top 100k for me. Let gw16 begin!

    jamesimmo says:

Evening all. Nice to have midweek games to look forward to! Means that our transfer planning commences immediately too.

So: attached is my team. I have 4.3m in the bank. Stuani, although finally getting a start again today, needs to go I think. Who should I replace him with?

    Benteke? (Tough fixtures…)
    Defoe? (Tough fixtures…)
    Slimani? (Uncertain game time…)
Origi? (Seems like a flaky and temporary move…)
    Other?

I have 9.2m to spend if I do sell him. That doesn’t actually get you much for a striker! Lukaku’s 9.4m and Vardy’s 9.6m. Ibra’s way outta reach. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

      DMC says:

I see your ‘problem’ James. Not many premium strikers out there justifying the investment are there? Would you consider using the money in midfield? If so, then spurs mids or Payet could do the trick. If not, maybe roll it as is one more week and reassess with 2FT for the weekend.

    • 136.2
      Pancho says:

James, I was just thinking exactly what DMC said. Upgrade Capoue and play 3-5-2. Mahrez could actually be a good shout as they could score well in their next 5 fixtures. Payet and Eriksen/Alli all good options too.
The other forward option you didn’t mention is Carrol.

      jamesimmo says:

DMC and Pancho, cheers lads, that sounds good to me! Just need to hope that Stuani doesn’t drop before Tuesday.

It’s a tough call between Mahrez and Payet: the former is on penalties whilst Payet seems to be a more direct attacking threat for his team. Both have pretty tasty fixtures.

      • DMC says:

James – accordingly to fplstatistics 2237 people would need to sell him for that to happen. Why would that ammount of people have him beats me smile but you’re safe there, surely.

        • jamesimmo says:

Aye, to be fair, there definitely aren’t 2,000+ people more stupid than I… laugh

FFFix has him close though. I’ll probably drop him for Anichebe on Tuesday night.

Have you got any transfer plans brewing?

        • Pancho says:

James, I’ve solved my Stones problem in the shape of Pieters. Sort of a rage transfer after watching that debacle yesterday. Just too embarrassed to show my face around if I still owned a City defender :/

        • DMC says:

Ehehe he looked good in the begining I’ll give you that. I have Diomande though so can’t really say much here smile
On the transfers front, I would like to get a spurs mid (Alli maybe) but it can’t be done this week without hits or loosing KDB which I’m not keen to before a home game to watford so thinking of rolling it as per post 139. Could you be bothered to look at that lot and give your imput? Appreciate it mate.

      highaction says:

If you didn’t already have 2 Swansea… I’d suggest staying kind of cheap and going Llorente.. Guessing he’s going to be nailed pretty soon.

Is there any known reason to hold off on transferring Firmino to Siggy? I could wait but may have poor phone reception over the next couple of days so would feel better doing it now.
