Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 26 FPL News: It’s a slightly reduced fixture list this week as we have just the 8 games having lost all of Arsenal, both Manchester clubs and Southampton due to the League Cup final but if this comes as a shock to you at this stage then you really haven’t been paying attention! And it’s probably a bit late to do anything about it now. If you are feeling deprived though then this is just the appetiser to GW28 which looks like the shell of a real gameweek. This one does still span three days though and we begin on Saturday with five 3pm kick offs featuring the likes of Chelsea and Everton with potentially plum home ties as the main highlights, before Watford entertain West Ham in the evening game. Sunday then sees Spurs host Stoke before Leicester and Liverpool see out our FPL week on Monday evening. Live Match Chat is when we truly hand the site over to the community so feel free to post your comments and feelings as the games happen.

Viktors, Mawson is a consideration in defence – they don’t keep many clean sheets, but he can be decent going forward and could pay off for GW28

50/50 on doing Ali > Sterling
Spurs fixture are irresistible from 29 onwards, where as City’s go down hill (pool,Ars,Chel) ouch..!
So will swap straight back to Spurs cover.
will the points in the meantime outweigh the use of two transfers? …that is what I am battling with!

I had the same problem and made the switch Aguero & Sterling last night. I’m working on the basis that the price changes will cover any cash issues between switching back after GW27.
I also think if you TC Aguero then that gains you 4 points over the standard 2 so you’re pretty much on an even field but have 4 games against poor opposition instead of 2.
You thought of swapping Lukaku to Aguero,then swapping him back again gw28 Biggie ?

Honestly havent made my mind up.Dont like the Milner plan,Chadli or Morrison though i’m not sure i’d bother bringing West Brom players in now.

My GW was going well until that spurs game yesterday. That bumper haul for Kane has pushed me down 3 places in ML when i was getting closer to the top

I was planning to do Ali > Sane which would leave me 1.2m to do Zlat > Aguero but i’m really not sure on losing Zlat with Bournemouth at home.

I quite like the Luka idea as i’ve mentioned as he’s away to Spurs, i’ve i had Kane i don’t think i could drop him after a hatty.
Sterling is also an option, he’s not one to fill me with confidence but he’s actually been in good form (7.3) that’s not be sniffed at.
TC Kun is a massive tempter for sure against Stoke (who seem to let in 4 against top 6 teams) and Sunderland.

The problem seems to be how to buy him without losing the potential pts of the ones that are likely needed to go (Kane, Costa or Ibra) but if I am to buy him then TC could compensate that and any potentially required hit.
I don’t fear too much for potential rotation given that they probably had it planed for the FA cup Boro game amuway, ahead of Monaco.
Also I have KDB already so bringing Aguero in feels a bit mad given the blank in 28. I don’t know what I’ll do yet but it seems a little bit too far for me. Bringing Kun that is. If I do go that route though then TC is indeed a viable option.
It is really tempting but I dont know if I got the balls to do it so soon. I like to have all the cards on the table before I decide. Its easier to TC a guy like Sanches who you know will play 2x90min

You are transferring out Costa against WestHam is that it then Silvers?
I held onto my TC last season and ended up giving it Carroll on a DGW and he scored 4pts over two games!
I am not saying we shouldn’t do it smithy. Just saying that this doens’t in fact come in the best moment, given the blank 28 for city. It all depends on each one’s teams I suppose, but taking hits or selling people who do play and have a home fixture (kane/ibra) or are in form (costa) for someone that will blank the week after when you are short on gw28 personal isn’t probably wise. What do I know though.
If no hits are needed and you are ok-ish for 28 and you don’t have already city cover then yeah I wouldn’t vote agaisnt buying the bloke. Triple captain is a whole different natter, of course, because it also relates to ML situation and which chips you and your opponents still have.
TC of course is a chip for a DGW, whether it’s a big or a small one doens’t matter given that you can only put it in one arm, and as thing stand this could be the best DGW set of fixtures anyone will have so, yeah, why not? He’s even scoring goals now…
The only other really attractive DGW is Arsenal in 37 who’ll play Stoke and 1 of either Leicester, Southampton or Sunderland.
There’s obviously no guarantees but I think any other season would have us salivating over this Aguero double. I think Pep and Jesus (not the almighty) have just knocked our confidence in him of late.
I’ve got nothing to lose so it’s a lot easier for me but I’ll be triple captaining, once I can figure out a way to get him in!
GW37 is likely to be the big double of the season and if turns out to be the case we’ll want to use BB which obviously means we can’t also TC.

Yes, that is a good point indeed. But we could still want to TC for one of the small DGW’s involving Utd, Arsenal and Shoutampton which after gw 28 are the only 3 teams that will have two dgw’s.
We could maybe rule Ibra out in comparison to Aguero’s dgw27, given that Utd’s two games in hand are against City and Southampton, both away.
Southampton’s are both at home but they are facing Arsenal and Utd, so we’ll leave them out too.
Arsenal has of course one away to Southamptom but the other is home to leicester.
As we know the possible dgw dates are 34 and 37. Now, if the one to be sheduled in 37 is the southampton one that would mean that we would then be gifted with Arsenal facing Sunderland and Leicester at home in 34. Which would be better or at least equal City’s dgw in 27.
And our Arsenal boys for that dgw 34 would not have a blank afterwards, nor the fa cup the next sunday, nor champions league a week after.
A lot of “ifs” I know but still this dgw 27 is not necessarily one to go all in with TC, imo.
gw34 won’t be a DGW34 for Arsenal if the Gooners reach the Cup semis

In that case, as I understand it, they will have a DGW in 32, 33, 35 or 36 as well as 37.
Well, if you put it like that it does seem that this dgw27 will be the best to TC someone from a big team. If only Jesus was fit!!

I’m already planning my changes for that. If it gets confirmed I’m looking at either swapping him for Lukaku or a week or, very possibly, doing some general team sorting to bring in Sterling as well, who I’m happy to keep longer term. That would mean a -8 but I do love a punt and that one could potentially be very worthwhile!
Anyone else managed to blow a 150 point lead in there mini league? Ok must just be me then, I’ve been caught slipping as I’ve not monitored my side very well since after the Christmas period and it’s all gone a little Pete Tong (possibly a lot), anyways I’ve got 2 FT’s for this upcoming GW with 3.2 million banked so I’ve been thinking of De Bruyne in for Coutinho if Citeh win their FA cup clash but would it be a good idea to flip Lenihan to John Stones (that guy again) for the potential DGW as well, any other ideas will be welcomed as well.
That’s rough Andy but with solid planning around the DGW all may not be lost.
Perosnally I wouldn’t want to lose Countinho as he’s one of the few that play in the dreaded GW 28.
Hazard and Sanchez will both blank then so I’d probably lose 1 or both of those to raise funds.
I can always flip De Bruyne straight to Mane for after the DGW, I think I dropped a bollock in picking Coutinho up straight after the injury as he’s not really produced since coming back the little tinker that he is.
Similar to me. I have dropped from 100k to 700k since Christmas. Think my worst ever rank is 150k so this hurts
Their’s no real easy way to say this but I’ve dropped all of them points to my rival (Our kid of all people) but my overall rank hasn’t really suffered, I’m still ranked 24k which is psychotically high but that jammy git has somehow managed to turn water into wine without even signing Jesus
He has blown his triple (c) chip so I’ve still got that over him but I’m dreading the crack he’ll be coming out with now that he’s overtaken me.
