Live Match Chat Gameweek 26 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 26 FPL News: It’s a slightly reduced fixture list this week as we have just the 8 games having lost all of Arsenal, both Manchester clubs and Southampton due to the League Cup final but if this comes as a shock to you at this stage then you really haven’t been paying attention! And it’s probably a bit late to do anything about it now. If you are feeling deprived though then this is just the appetiser to GW28 which looks like the shell of a real gameweek. This one does still span three days though and we begin on Saturday with five 3pm kick offs featuring the likes of Chelsea and Everton with potentially plum home ties as the main highlights, before Watford entertain West Ham in the evening game. Sunday then sees Spurs host Stoke before Leicester and Liverpool see out our FPL week on Monday evening. Live Match Chat is when we truly hand the site over to the community so feel free to post your comments and feelings as the games happen.

Jordan Henderson out of tonight’s match with a foot injury picked up in training……
Afternoon all !
Think I might need some help solving 2 of my issues :
1) Kane/Lukaku/Costa – who to take out in order to bring Kun in for the potential DGW ?
*** I can choose between Kane or Costa for a direct switch ; for Luk I ll need to do a -4 and do an extra transfer to get the funds
Kane & Luk play each other in what may be a high scoring game
Spurs will focus now on the PL plus Kane is in great form
Lukaku – see above
Costa has WH away – is he the logical choice to go out for this (potential) City DGW ?
2) Is Ibra a must for the next GW ?
Seems like Utd has prioritized every other competition where they can actually win something this year and the PL is not their primary focus
Will this have effect on Ibra being rested/rotated in the PL games?
On the other hand, Ibra’s contract renewal is “on hold” and the primary objective for him to renew it is Utd to play in the CL next year
@Cookie – I would love to hear you thoughts on this, mate…
Cheers!
Hey Doc
Toughie that
Ermm…
If you swap out Luka then your gunna need him back a week later
You might need your ft for other issues injuries suspensions gwk 28 players etc.
Who else you gunna downgrade along with Luka?
If you can get both Aguero & say Sterling / Sane then maybe go for it.
If not just Swap out Costa.
Hey Doc, hmmmmm…..
I will hold my hand up and admit I am getting Kane all wrong. As Kop will tell you, I don’t particularly rate him (Kane that is, not Kop. Kop is world class). However, whether I am right or wrong about Kane, he is delivering the points and is the most explosive out of the three you have mentioned.
Therefore I will eat humble pie and say “keep Kane.”
So it’s Lukaku vs Costa…..truthfully I don’t think there is much in it. A lot may depend on the fitness of Vert and Toby, but with everyone fit I would say Costa is more likely to score vs West Ham than Lukaku is vs Spurs. But of course Costa is more consistent than explosive.
However……..
…you will want Lukaku back for GW28 when Costa blanks.
Therefore I would lose Costa mate!
Ibra – yes he is a must vs Bournemouth – he did look nackered at the end of the final but at least he managed to stay on the pitch and score the winner whereas Gabbiadini went off. You have kept Ibra for this game and he is in great form. But I would wait until the pressers just to ensure he is ok.
Jose will still be targeting top 4 don’t you worry – the FA Cup will be his least concern, especially now they have won something.
So when will hear the news of a potential DGW for City and Stoke?
Wednesday night about 10pm !
Mane / Coutinho / Firminho owners
Hoping for some points tonite
Predictions anyone?
Leic 1- 3 Pool
Mane brace and assist would be nice
0-2 in favour of Pool
A dire 1-1 would suit me nicely! In reality I think something like 0-2 to Liverpool. Site Team has Mane captain and is having a stinker so something special from him would be nice.
1-0 for Leicester
If it stays like this, I ll be the happiest man alive, I guess ; )
It looks like I brought Phillips in a little too late, so now he’s got to go! Which leaves me with 7.8 to replace him. What do you guys think? Currently holding : Siggy, Haz, Cap, Eriks
1- Walcott
2- Chadli
3- Lallana
4- Sterling
5- Others?
Jog
Sterling Dgw
No brainer
+1
Here we go:
