Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 FPL News: Time to get excited folks. Come on now, who doesn’t love a midweek FPL game-week?! 10 games, 2 days, bish bash bosh. No messing about. No waiting for Friday’s early KO (yep, remember them? They’re coming back to a screen near you soon…) and then having it all drag on until Monday evening. Midweek FPL gets the job done like Joe Pesci in a bar room. We start with 4 games games on Tuesday with the main FPL highlights probably being Heaton attempting to single-handedly thwart Stoke, Vardy attempting to Party against Sunderland, Watford wondering how to stop McAuley and Ibra finally being unleashed once more. Wednesday brings a quick conclusion with the Wenger banners being readied, ‘Boro in ‘not scoring shocker’, Big Sam furthering his England manager claims, Spurs beating the crap out of Swansea, Chelsea putting the title to bed and then finises with a Liverpool midfielder posting a huge score against Bournemouth. The only question being which one…

As ever, post your comments and enjoy the games. Together.

FT Diff

DGW34 IS ON THERE AS CONFIRMED BUT DGW37 IS VERY MUCH PROVISIONAL!
That’s our best guess as to how it will pan out and there is still Southampton vs Arsenal to be rearranged. That looks likely to be in GW35 or 36. The FPL site itself has said that they expect the remaining games to be confirmed on or around the 7th April.

Teams with DGW’s ahead… (with thanks to Rosco)

Hugely disappointed at this week’s score of 43(-4) with no BPS included.

Sanchez captain fail, Valencia rested and Snoddy playing only 45 minutes along with no Spurs and Liverpool attacking coverage. Another red arrow, my second in a row. Before that i had 9 straight green arrows!

I’ve had two bad gameweeks too, it happens, hopefully it’s just bad luck catching up to us and not stale squads forming!

What move(s) are you contemplating for the weekend?

      • Eagle says:

James – I want a Spurs mid at any means necessary. Eriksen/Alli are punishing my rank by not having them. I need to raise funds for this move though with Siggy on the chopping block. I need to shave off £1.1 to do this move.

        • jamesimmo says:

Sounds a plan. Watford seem to be picking up, so I don’t expect a > 2-0 win, but probably still wise.

          Perhaps an Alonso downgrade?

        • Eagle says:

James, you might be right. I think the funds have to come from downgrading a defender. Alonso no clean sheets lately so sort of justifies it but he always seems to have a goal threat. How about downgrading Walker to Davies to maintain Spurs defensive coverage to help fund the Alli move? Do you know if Davies will keep his place for long?

That’s also a decent shout. Not sure about Rose… ask Cookie! 😉

56(-4) for me if the bonuses stay. I’ll take it. Sanchez Capt was a big mistake but was the best decision given the fixture. Need to plan for the next GW.

Good day at the office, 72 (-4) if BPS stay as they are. Big move this week was swerving Sanchez and getting Alli(C) instead. Literally terrified through the whole Arsenal match though as it seemed like everyone in my ML brought Sanchez in and gave him the armband, and my H2H opponent too. Phew!

    Tekno-kun says:

All right, so it’s time to ditch Siggy I reckon. Who do people prefer between Sanchez and Hazard as his replacement?

    RedVT says:

So when are we supposed to find out the schedule for the make up matches? Did I read by April 7th someplace? If so, we should know the landscape before this weekend’s deadline. That would be handy!

      DMC says:

Red – The fpl site itself said they expected to be able to announce it by then.
And congrats on that huge score. At the rank you’re at that will prompt you very high up! Here’s to cheering for you!

      • RedVT says:

Thanks DMC, would be nice to know exactly when all the matches are happening even though we have a pretty good idea already. Appreciate the kind words, hope I can keep grinding it out for the next 7 game weeks! smile

7th was what they said. Some may start coming out tomorrow. It won’t be much different to what we guessed at on the Fixture Tracker though. Arsenal v Saints being the outlier. I’m keen to see that one nailed as it’s key to planning the WC really.

dissapointing couple of game weeks only 56 points (-8) for gw31. Will still be 6 points ahead in ML but not wanting to panick and make rash decisions. Not planning on making any transfers this week and save it for next week to allow me to upgrade lukaku to either zlatan or kane should he be back. To do that id need to downgrade either lanzini or alonso. My team is below, would welcome any thoughts

      jamesimmo says:

I say hold your transfer and then do both moves after next gameweek. Who to sell (and who to buy) might become more apparent after the weekend’s action: both Lanzini and Alonso have decent matches after all.

      • saloba11 says:

Thanks James reluctant to sell despite a number of players being off form. its a difficult period where there are many games meaning more injuries and pkayers rested so think having 2 transfers for gw33 will hold me in good steam (hopefully)
