Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 FPL News: It’s weeks like this that separate the ‘casuals’ from the serious players as we begin our 3rd gameweek in seven days. Remembering the deadline is one thing, being properly prepared and planned with such a short turnaround is another. Hopefully you were but either way it’s probably too late now! Gameweek 32 begins with Spurs looking to put an early marker down and place subsequent pressure on Chelsea as they take on Watford at home. We then have five 3pm kick offs, the highlight from an FPL point of view being Kun facing Hull at home. That’s probably it to be fair looking at those sorry fixtures! Well ok, you could make an argument for having West Brom defenders or maybe some sort of interest in West Ham vs Swansea but if anyone is getting excited about ‘Boro vs Burnley then give us a minute to find you the number for the Samaritans…

Saturday evening ends with Chelsea hoping to restore that lead over Spurs as they visit Bournemouth.

Sunday brings us two games beginning with the ‘Moyes Derby’ which sees Sunderland put to the test by Ibra and co. This is followed by what should be an entertaining encounter as home boys Everton entertain in form Leicester.

The gameweek then extends into Monday and this should be a cracker too. Say what you want about Big Sam but if there’s one thing in football he relishes more than anything it is a home game against Arsenal! He’ll have had this one ringed on his calendar for months in advance…

Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

DGW34 IS ON THERE AS CONFIRMED BUT DGW37 IS VERY MUCH PROVISIONAL!
That’s our best guess as to how it will pan out and there is still Southampton vs Arsenal to be rearranged. That looks likely to be in GW35 or 36. The FPL site itself has said that they expect the remaining games to be confirmed on or around the 7th April.

Teams with DGW’s ahead… (with thanks to Rosco)

Guys I’m looking to bring Vertongen in. Not sure for who though: Valencia or Bertrand?

would you consider to swap Ibra to Kane for gw33 and swap back for GW 34?

although in that case I would have to take got to remove Davis so maybe I’m stuck with Ibra.

OK all thinking of changing Llorente & Costa to Deeney & Ibra is it worth it ??????

Hey guys, just wanted to pick a few brains on peoples plans for DGW 34. I currently have only Valencia (who comes with risks) for 34, I have 1FT this week so without hits the most ‘potential’ DGW players I can get is 3.
I do tend to approach these type of weeks somewhat aggressively so its likely I’ll take a few weeks with the ‘they cost -2’ mindset. However this week I think kane would be worth getting in, is anyone else just playing the fixtures this week and then taking a few hits in prep for 34 or are people only making transfers with the 34 in mind?
DGW34 is not exactly inspiring but you only have to look at DGW27 and the Palace defence to know that ignoring it all together could be costly, that said we do face potential rotation at Man U and tricky fixtures (on paper) for palace.

It would be great to get some different opinions on this as I’m torn!

I currently have Bailly and Negredo. I plan on bringing Benteke , Zlatan and Valdez/Gibson. I believe hits for a DGW will pay off, I might do a -8

      • Rosco77 says:

I think the Valencia situation is a real pain, my original plan was to keep Valencia and add Zlatan, Zaha and a Boro defender and roll with 4 DGW players.
Are you making any non DGW transfers this week as realistically you could bring in one of the 3 you mentioned and then 2 more in 34 with only a -4 and you will have 5 DGW34 players so you’re already in a great position!

        • Rosco77 says:

Ignore my post I’ve just read yours below!!

        • ChrisOllie25 says:

I’m torn between if to bring in Kane for a one off GW and replace him with Zlatan the following week. I plan on bringing Holgate and Coutinho for Bertrand and Siggy or Holgate and Kane for Bertrand and Lukaku

        • Rosco77 says:

Thats exactly where i’m at Chris! My current thoughts (of a mad man!) are to bring in Kane and Zaha for a -4 this week, then move Kane into Ibra and pick up a Boro defender for a -4 in 34. I’ll probably then WC in 35 or 36 depending on when the Arsenal vs Soton game is confirmed in preparation for BB in 37!

        • ChrisOllie25 says:

WC in 35 or 36 doesn’t sound a bad idea. It all comes down who will get more points; Coutinho or Kane?

Hey Cookie I’m not too shabby!

Ah man thats another spanner in the works!! Yeah you’re right on Mikhitaryan, I watched the game yesterday and he does look good, I think its just the rotation with Man U that concerns me, but he could be worth a punt too…-12 coming up…WWMD!?

Hi Rosco – these are very important points you make. If this was a semi-attractive dgw I’d be planning to get as many as I could with free transfers, including saving it this week to better assess ahead of the dgw itself.
However, it being very unattractive, I’m a bit hesitant here as many are.
This is where I am at the moment:
      – Utd: keep the ones you have, buy Ibra for defensive reasons but probably don’t go all in with 3 of them – not only they are potential bench / rest material, but also they have arsenal, spurs and city on their remaining 5 – the others are Swansea and Palace);
      – Palace: get Zaha and Tekkers, period.
      – Boro: get 1 defender/gk, period.
As you can see I can’t see myself going with more than 5 but I think I’ll end up with 4 (DDG/Zaha/Ibra/Tekkers) which will require just the one hit.
Looking at it like that I wouldn’t worry too much about bringing one of those this GW33 and would get the Kane’s of this life.
The tricky aspect of bringing Kane in now is that (assuming you have Lukaku) you’d then have to make a big call on your forwards for dgw34 as there isn’t room for 4 of them!

I think Valencia is almost guaranteed to be rotated, with Chelsea, City and Burnley away to be squeezed in along with the Europa matches. I’d expect him to be played for the more important matches only, however which matches those would be is up in the air for now. The 3 goal Sunderland win has muddied waters :smirk:

59(-4) with Sanchez. Not expecting much given how he’s been playing recently. Anyway I have start planning for GW33. Thinking of doing:

    1. Holgate and Coutinho for Bertrand and Siggy or
    2. Holgate and Kane for Bertrand and Lukaku

    Here’s my team:

    Jaku Heaton
    Bailly Bertrand Pieters Chambers Amat
    Sanchez Alli Siggy Lanzini King
    Lukaku Vardy Negredo.

    I have 1FT and 1.8 ITB

Obviously DGW37 is yet to be confirmed but I was already starting to look at who I might want in on my WC (we all love to tinker right!? ), so I pulled together a new chart for my use and thought it might be of use to others, especially those without a WC in their back pockets.

The chart is fairly self explanatory, the only match not on there is Arsenal VS Southampton which will most likely slot into 35 or 36.

Hope this is of some use and if not just ignore it!

Cheers rosco – very useful as this helps to tinker on a “team by team” basis. I’m not there yet on the tinkering for that one but will be very soon I suppose. We need confirmation that’s all!! Wasn’t it due in april 7? What are they about?

      • Rosco77 says:

No I’m not quite ‘there’ either, but sometimes I just like to plan for fun! Obviously a lot can change before now and then!
I’m surprised it hasn’t been confirmed yet, especially with Arsenal and Southampton having 2 matches to squeeze in
