Live Match Chat Gameweek 34 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 34 FPL News: The frantic planning is now over and it’s time to sit back and hope that your double game-week players all see the pitch twice or indeed to hope that your single ones don’t come a cropper in the FA Cup before they get their FPL chance to shine in midweek. GW34 is fraught with danger whichever way you look at it but on the bright side there’s football aplenty this week! The gameweek begins late this week as we have four 3pm kick offs on Saturday and it’s basement battle time as 7 of the 8 featured teams could still technically be relegated. With no evening game Saturday will be over in the flash of an eye and then Sunday sees 2 of this weeks 3 DGW teams begin their quest as Man Utd go to Burnley in the early one before Palace visit Anfield in the later game. We then have a breather for a day before Chelsea and Southampton get us back under way on Tuesday night. Wednesday sees another three games before we finally conclude on Thursday evening with the Manchester derby.

Is it time to use the WC?

Morning everyone, hope you are well.

The Geordie lads will be. Delighted for you, well in fellas.

Cookie – what we spoke about last week about BB in 38 rather than 37 is gaining some favour with me, lots depends on my ML situation come 37. We are toing and froing just now and all his chips are gone.

I like the fixtures of some on a SGW as you rightly noted above. I may go out with a bang and play BB IN 38! smile

    Hi all,

Current Team (ITB 9m and 1 FT)
    Grant/Foster
    Bailly/Chambers/Pieters/Alonso/Ben Mee
    Pedro/Joshua King/ Eriksen/ Siggy/ Alli
    Rashford/Lukaku/Negredo

    I am thinking of:
1.) Chambers or Pieters to a Spurs defender: Davies or Trippier or Vetonghen
2.) Ben Mee to Southampton Defender Ryan Betrand/Cedric/Yoshida or Stephens
    3.) Siggy to Hazard
    4.) Negredo to Gabbiadini

    Which transfers should i prioritize?
    Thanks very much

Guys, having used my 2nd WC some time ago, for me to get 15 dgw players for gw37 and play my bench boost id need to take some hits. My question is do u think its worth selling single gw players such as king (Home to Burnley) and Holgate ( home to Watford) for someone with a dgw (for a hit). Stephens is the obvious replacement for Holgate however I don’t see any worthwhile dgw replacements for King.

Although the concern with finding a dgw replacement is selling someone like king with a single game week and decent home fixture for someone who may be rotated so effectively only getting one game anyway……

      • DMC says:

saloba -the trade off for not keeping your WC for these doubles is that you believed, at the time, that your team would benefit so much from deploying it back then that whatever scenario you’d face ahead of any doubles it would still compensate. I don’t know if that was exactly the case and or if it did/will compensate but I’d say keep that up, forget about having 15 and don’t take hits to sell people you think will performs well.

Morning chaps! Congrats to Newcastle fans (Milburn and Rosco in particular)! I’m fairly new to the English game but know enough to recognize you all belong in the PL.
Anyway, I’m trying to get my mind around a DGW plan without my WC. Thinking these two transfers make sense as they have good fixtures this week and are both DGWers I’d like to have for 37. Thoughts?
    Siggy & Lukaku -> Sane & Vardy

Pancho, Id personally be looking to bring in Gabby instead of Vardy given that he has 2 game weeks and using that money to upgrade zaha to someone like eriksen for gw37. Ud still have enough money to upgrade amat for decent dgw defender.

      • Pancho says:

Thanks Saloba, I’m just not convinced by Soton’s fixtures and they have nothing to play for. Also, I don’t think Gabbi will start all 4 of those matches anyway. With Long fit and Austin coming back there is likely to be rotation. I need to pick players as guaranteed to start as possible and I don’t think Gabbi is nailed on to start all 4. I could be wrong, but I’m not convinced…

        • saloba11 says:

No worries mate, Ur probably right. As it has already been proven its going to be very difficult to actually get players who will play both games. I may need to sell Valencia on this basis.

      Thanks Pancho much appreciated!!
I have my WC and I’m debating keeping Lukaku, his fixtures and form are great and certainly better than Costa. I would hold off on that move and if you do get rid then consider a cheaper alternative like Jesus or Gabby (obviously watching to see if they return and are selected. I think there are a lot more options in midfeild for the DGW and you might be better served investing some of your funds there to upgrade the likes of Capoue. I like the Sane move!

      • Pancho says:

        Rosco thanks for the reply!
I’ve got to respectfully disagree with you on Lukaku-Costa.
GW35 – they play each other and I think Chelsea will be really up for to push on and win the league.
GW36 – Chelsea Home to Boro and Everton away to Swansea
GW37 – Chelsea DGW (wba & WAT) and Everton have WAT
GW38 – Chelsea have a relegated SUN and Everton have Arsenal who will likely be fighting for 4th
So it seems that Chelsea have equal or better fixtures for the remainder. Thoughts?

        • Rosco77 says:

Sorry i just read my comment and realised it wasn’t very clear! I meant that Lukaku has decent fixtures and better form than costa! Chelsea have great fixtures and much better than Everton especially given the DGW.
I think if you can afford both I would, i’d love both but as i want Haz i’ll go for him and given Lukaku vs Costa on form i’ll stick with lusaka but this may change after 35!

        • Pancho says:

Ahhh got it, thanks Rosco! I would agree that if I could easily swap a mid to Haz then I would rather dumb Costa. But I don’t know if I can do that. Hmmmm, thinking to do…
