Welcome to the FF247 MLS Chat Room for the 2015 season. A hidden gem within the site if you will, for those fantasy managers who just love to play whatever games they can get their mitts on and specifically in this case MLS. Most of us started playing fantasy MLS back in 2013 and were soon hooked. The aim of the Chat Room is to allow a space for those that play it to come on and post and chat whatever they want about MLS – be it a traditional RMT, some team news, a helpful link to some relevant information or site, info about the many DGW’s, info about the many blank game weeks, info about the many international call up weeks (!).

Whatever is on your mind that is MLS related you can post in the Chat Room and know that it won’t be lost and confused on the FPL chat boards and you can easily access it at any time by simply clicking on the MLS tab at the top of the FF247 home page.

  1. Opara could be out for the season with a ruptured achilles tendon.

    More importantly, can you guys see my messages in WhatsApp? I haven’t gotten any answers to my messages or seen any other all day.

    • Well, we are chatting and you aren’t there. For real this time as well! So yeah it probably is.

      • I’m just curious what the future will be concerning FFFix? Is our period as “fill-in writers” over?

      • You think it could have anything to do with my ohine number? I’m registered in WhatsApp with my Norwegian number, but I currently have my American SIM card in my phone. Maybe I should leave the chat and you could re-add me with my American number instead.

        • Hey Tekno. As a person who travels a lot and uses different sim cards. That is definitely the reason your whatsapp is not working smile

  3. Any word on Villareal and Javi Morales injuries?

    • NIN, the latest I’ve seen on Javi is from SB Nation, “Morales didn’t train Tuesday and is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Revs.”

      Villareal is fit, I think he’s just being eased back in by Bruce Arena. Word of caution though, he’s playing for the USA U-23’s tonight against Mexico, so keep an eye on his status.

  4. MLS’ers – I’m in a spot of bother this week to say the least. Injuries everywhere. Need 2 mid’s to field 11, which makes a -8 hit. 18.1m to spend. Thinking Luis Silva and Neagle, sound good? Already played 2 FT’s to get rid of Hernandez&Villa. One of those weeks.

    • Should have said, other mid’s are Feilhaber, Finlay and Sam :thumbup:

      • Grella is a forward GP.

      • He’s a striker mate. I’m almost loaded up on NYRB anyway, and want the last spot for Robles ahead of their double. Silva hasn’t played much since coming back from injury and Neagle only got his act together last week. Kinda like both going forward though.

        • Hmm, their attack worries me. Shame Houston mid’s cant do shit. They’ve got some nice games.

    • @NiN, I am not in love with Seatlle’s fixtures over the coming weeks, although the Portland game does look appealing.

      I would consider Shipp and possibly even Powers or Felipe if you want DGW players ahead of time. Any of those 3 or the two you put up sound the best. Silva not so sure about with the upcoming games and Espi being back.

      • Cheers Mito. Not fussed about Colorado players. 4 NYRB for that double will do me i reckon. You reckon Silva will struggle to get game time then? Last season i thought he was their best player, aside from Espi of course. Seemed that way from the games i watched anyway.

        • Hard to tell about Silva He looked real good last season, but MLS is so freaking hard to decipher sometimes. He should play, but I am not sure if they are ready to start him. Last 3 games off the bench makes me wonder if it is really fitness. You figure he be starting by now, in particular with no Espi for those games. At some point or another he will start, but considering his fixtures I would be tempted to wait. Not only because of the fixtures, but I least to see him start one time.

        • Their fixtures look pretty strong to me mate. Hmm, i’m wary of Silva now. I figured they were easing him back. Would ideally like him and Espi for next GW on. Any thoughts on capo this week? Martins or BWP for me i reckon.

  6. Morning folks. How did your MLS teams go last night? I’m on 48 so far with Perrinelle, Sam, BWP & Martins (c) to play today. Not bad.

    • Mito – You getting Espi in this week mate? I see he went the 90 last night. Great schedule ahead too.

      I knew Tierney was going to score sooner or later. Just delighted he got a CS to boot. Feilhaber a fantasy beast as usual and Kamara a great buy for me so far.

      Well pleased so far.

      • Morning GP. Good thanks. Nice shooting so far. Gio cap is an interesting one. Kamara is doing really well too. I should have bought him a few weeks ago after Mito mentioned him. Drat.

      • Got 50 points so far, just dumb luck . 16 points from Finlay and 20 from Morales (c) 😛
