New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette
Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette. Welcome back to a brand-new season of Fantasy Premier League! The Transfer Window has been in full swing since the 1st of July with plenty new faces coming into the league giving us fantasy managers more options to pull our hair out over. In the coming weeks, we will see multiple drafts, probably all from Mitro, containing different combinations of some of these new faces so to make it easier for him and everyone else; below I have written up an analysis of some of those faces. With so much money flooding into the English League in the recent years we are seeing some ridiculous transfers and transfer fees up and down the divisions (Ruben Neves to Wolves for £15 million, anybody?!!!) In the below article we focus on Arsenal’s latest additions. Two players whom Arsenal fans hope can help them back to their promised land and a 4th place finish
Sead Kolasinac
Defender
FPL Price: £6.0m
New season but same old Arsenal!! Wenger is still in the hot seat but only time will tell if Arsenal can turn things around. Old Arsene has started early by bringing in a new left-back but obviously he didn’t let any funds leave the budgeting department by nabbing Sead Kolasinac on the free. Kolasinac is a 24-year-old from Bosnia who has spent the last 5 years at FC Schalke. In that time, he made 123 appearances scoring 4 goals and getting 13 assists. These stats don’t light the world on fire but Kolasinac is versatile and can play centre back, left midfield and defensive midfield. The versatility that Kolasinac offers should be a Godsend to Arsenal, manager and fans alike, as he can slot in whenever the inevitable injury crisis starts. Arsenal’s first six games see matches against Stoke, Bournemouth and West Brom which could be three clean sheets for the new recruit if he does in fact walk straight into the side but with the form Nacho Monreal was in at the end of last season it will be hard to tell what Arsene’s plans are! With Kieran Gibbs gone there is less competition for the Bosnian at left back but it’s still a wait and see in my opinion.
Alexandre Lacazette
Forward
FPL Price: £10.5m
Hold the phone, stop the presses!! That’s right lads and lassies the world as we know it is coming to an end! Arsenal have not only loosened the purse strings but cut them wide open by spending a club record fee of £53 million on Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette may not have the gorgeous looks of the Frenchman we all know and love to hate, Olivier Giroud, but one would have to assume Lacazette is the younger replacement for Olivier. Lacazette has been linked with the English game for a long time now usually with rumours of a move to Liverpool but as usual they missed out and the highly rated striker decided he wanted a spin on the London Eye. Lacazette arrives with a lot of expectations on his shoulders and it is well deserved as the 26-year-old has played 275 times for OL Lyon scoring 129 times and assisting a further 43 goals which compared to Giroud is a lot better. In Giroud’s time at Arsenal he managed 2 less assists than Lacazette which isn’t bad but Giroud was worse in front of goal only scoring 98 times in 227 appearances. These stats should signify the end of Giroud at the Emirates and with interest coming from within England from Everton and West Ham or his home country, with Marseille and Lyon looking to attain his services Lacazette could find himself leading the Arsenal line in their hopes of returning to their throne, 4th place!

The Fixture Tracker…
Coutinho reportedly wants out. Oooooooo.
I haven’t seen anything to suggest that AT but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Wow weren’t expecting that thought he seemed happy
Kop, I wouldn’t be surprised if this all goes back to Neymar.
Nor would I. I’ve seen it suggested that they’ve promised Neymar that they’ll sign Coutinho.
Just had a look online and found a number of articles suggesting the move is close! None that I’d trust though.
Think this is getting scary for Barca. Looks like they are being cornered by one player and is not even their best one. They might be better off letting him go for that outrageous fee and buying someone else, won’t be his quality, but if it is true and they let Neymar have his way, then he might as well be in charge. What’s more, wait until other players start making demands to have their best friends on the team.
Originating out of Spain, so may be optimistic on their part.
@AT, as a Madrid fan, I can’t help but want it all to be true.
Chelsea are getting spanked
Alonso just scored though, so let the argument continue. This is the advantage of Alonso, even when his CS goes he can still get you 5-6 points.
Are you going to take Alonso? Even I’m becoming tempted though I want a big 3 up top so I’m not really getting anywhere
@Smash, I have been a no this whole time, but it is becoming harder and harder to not have him. I need to borrow money from wherever Coliries is borrowing from.
Yeah same
No argument – get him in 😉
Chelsea are being strongly linked with wing backs still
I know haha, I made that argument yesterday. For now though, he is in my side. If they sign a player, maybe not.
He’s currently in my squad. Mind you I picked a team very quickly. Hopefully he’ll still be in my team come GW1.
Tinker # 1,487….
a- Kun, Gayle & Coutinho or…
b- Jesus, Morata & Lallana ??
B might shade it but I could easily change my mind
C. Jesus Gayle and Coutinho for me
Pretty sure it stays like this
I can’t see McArthur starting regularly
Yeah, just grab Carroll or something, that’s an easy fix though. Rest looks good.
Cheers gents
Mc Arthur to Carroll it is then
Ok, think this is it. What you think?
Foster
Betrand Daniels Cedric
Capoue Alli Coutinho Willian
Kane Kaku Benteke
Myhill T Carroll Mee Rosenior
I’d look at replacing Capoue as he’s overpriced at 5.5m. The rest looks solid.
Have a peek at Allen – he might be getting a run in behind striker again
Afternoon all
Getting a bit more balanced now but hate not having Aguero or Morata!
That looks solid. You still have options on the team for raising money if in the end you feel you must have Aguero. At Keepers or defenders even if it means dropping a 4.5 guy to a 4.0 guy who won’t play. So you are in a good spot, you have a lot of possible variations there without any major changes to the structure and core of your team
Cheers Mito
