New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette
Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette. Welcome back to a brand-new season of Fantasy Premier League! The Transfer Window has been in full swing since the 1st of July with plenty new faces coming into the league giving us fantasy managers more options to pull our hair out over. In the coming weeks, we will see multiple drafts, probably all from Mitro, containing different combinations of some of these new faces so to make it easier for him and everyone else; below I have written up an analysis of some of those faces. With so much money flooding into the English League in the recent years we are seeing some ridiculous transfers and transfer fees up and down the divisions (Ruben Neves to Wolves for £15 million, anybody?!!!) In the below article we focus on Arsenal’s latest additions. Two players whom Arsenal fans hope can help them back to their promised land and a 4th place finish
Sead Kolasinac
Defender
FPL Price: £6.0m
New season but same old Arsenal!! Wenger is still in the hot seat but only time will tell if Arsenal can turn things around. Old Arsene has started early by bringing in a new left-back but obviously he didn’t let any funds leave the budgeting department by nabbing Sead Kolasinac on the free. Kolasinac is a 24-year-old from Bosnia who has spent the last 5 years at FC Schalke. In that time, he made 123 appearances scoring 4 goals and getting 13 assists. These stats don’t light the world on fire but Kolasinac is versatile and can play centre back, left midfield and defensive midfield. The versatility that Kolasinac offers should be a Godsend to Arsenal, manager and fans alike, as he can slot in whenever the inevitable injury crisis starts. Arsenal’s first six games see matches against Stoke, Bournemouth and West Brom which could be three clean sheets for the new recruit if he does in fact walk straight into the side but with the form Nacho Monreal was in at the end of last season it will be hard to tell what Arsene’s plans are! With Kieran Gibbs gone there is less competition for the Bosnian at left back but it’s still a wait and see in my opinion.
Alexandre Lacazette
Forward
FPL Price: £10.5m
Hold the phone, stop the presses!! That’s right lads and lassies the world as we know it is coming to an end! Arsenal have not only loosened the purse strings but cut them wide open by spending a club record fee of £53 million on Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette may not have the gorgeous looks of the Frenchman we all know and love to hate, Olivier Giroud, but one would have to assume Lacazette is the younger replacement for Olivier. Lacazette has been linked with the English game for a long time now usually with rumours of a move to Liverpool but as usual they missed out and the highly rated striker decided he wanted a spin on the London Eye. Lacazette arrives with a lot of expectations on his shoulders and it is well deserved as the 26-year-old has played 275 times for OL Lyon scoring 129 times and assisting a further 43 goals which compared to Giroud is a lot better. In Giroud’s time at Arsenal he managed 2 less assists than Lacazette which isn’t bad but Giroud was worse in front of goal only scoring 98 times in 227 appearances. These stats should signify the end of Giroud at the Emirates and with interest coming from within England from Everton and West Ham or his home country, with Marseille and Lyon looking to attain his services Lacazette could find himself leading the Arsenal line in their hopes of returning to their throne, 4th place!

The Fixture Tracker…
If Chelsea were to sign both Cedric and Bertrand that would certainly spice things up. Some nice cheapies at Soton for their fixtures and possibly a cheap route into Chelsea. Bertrand would certainly give Alonso owners a scare.
Yeah definitely Chelsea keep getting linked with wing backs so expect someone to come in at least. Can’t see Saints selling as it looks like VVD might be on his way
Evening all and many thanks to Matt for his analysis on the Arsenal newcomers.
I’ve had another tinker with my team (shock / horror, truth is I got bored at kids bedtime!). Anyway any thoughts appreciated. Only slight tinkerings and the def / gk situation needs work yet but the new one is the one with Morata.
I like the 1st team but downgrade Lindelof to a 4.5 and upgrade Fab
Hey Init I thk I like the 1st team it just weakens your team so much having 3 big Fwds not sure I would have two Che MF there opening fixtures arnt that great. Maybe Tadic for one of them then you upgrade Heaton to Court good to go
There’s stuff I’d change on both. I don’t think you can have Kane, Lukaku, Morata and Alli though I’m trying to squeeze Aguero in instead of Kane. And not really sure what to make of first team. I kind of like the 3 big forward idea. Just means you sacrifice a Liverpool midfielder in my eyes. Expensive GK rotation and not a Benteke fan especially as a flow build up play won’t suit him
Well you can…. the rest just looks a bit iffy as evidenced
There must be a way..,
I’m sure Matt will oblige…..
And with Smash’s suggestion. Must say, this is growing on me.
Analyst, its a nice looking team but double United attacking and no Spurs would bother me.
I’d love a back 4 of Cedric, Kompany, Trippier & Alonso with DDG in goal!
You thinking of going with it in a 433?
Not sure its possible Matt, cos I’d also want Kane and KdB and one more premium striker, Kun or Lukaku.
I just came up with that very quickly
Doesn’t work does it?
Here ya go. With all your demands and J.Rod for good measure.
Now that is interesting – Coutinho and Drinkwater become Cesc & Zaha maybe early doors and that may just work!
There ya go! I did consider 433 but hadn’t actually came up with anything for it but I’m starting to think it could be a decent option.
That actually works with Fab and Zaha
This smacks a bit of Cookie picking his team without lifting a finger. Don’t be his puppet Matt :hippo:
Pipe down you.
Matt, get us a beer mate 😉
He did as well, didn’t he
 here ya go
Legend! I’ve found another Liverpool fan I like.
That makes 2.
Cilla doesn’t count any more mate, unfortunately. Back to one 😉
Good evening gents could I get some feedback on this team please thanks in advance.
Will Antonio play with Ayew, Arnie and now Chicarito in too??
Antonio has got to be ahead of ayew much better player.
Yeah Ayew will be on the bench.
With zab at right back Antonio will play further and he likes a goal good value imo.
Yeah I forgot they got Zab could be brilliant
My only issue with Antonio is that he might not be fit for the start I think he could do well this year
3 away games at the start may hamper the Hammers though?
Didn’t realise they had 3 away games, who would be best to replace him.?
Cesc, Ramsey, Zaha spring readily to mind without even checking fixtures or FPL
At that price I like Zaha, Fabregas and maybe Tadic given his fixtures. I also fancy Ince and Walters at slightly lower which may help you improve Gayle?
