Pre-season Hub 2019/20 FPL season
Hello and welcome to the Pre-Season Hub 2019/20 season. A new season of FPL action is ahead and as some of you may now have become accustomed to FF247 will run an article detailing all relevant pre-season news focusing specifically on the team line-ups, goal scorers and assisters. This is the article and here’s how it works;
This article is a living document which we update daily during pre-season. The intention is to offer a one-stop-shop for all fantasy relevant pieces of information as we begin to assemble our new squads over the coming weeks and months.
I intend to personally update this as we go but as always, I’m not precious about it and your help is appreciated in copy/pasting all relevant and salient pieces of information against each team’s comment thread with reference to which game the information relates to.
Each team will be listed alphabetically, and a Hot Comment will be created for each one and kept in the usual place so that for example, all of Aston Villa’s or Sheffield United’s pre-season progress and team news is only a click away. To this end, all we ask is that you keep all talk of any particular team to their own comment thread – this makes it easier to follow the discussion and for any returning persons to locate all chat relating to that team easily enough – and that’s really it.

*Wolves are a big one to note here as they will begin their season competitively on 25th July as they attempt to qualify for the Europa League Group Stage proper where they will have to negotiate three rounds.
Second Qualifying round – above.
Third Qualifying round – 8th and 15th August.
Play-off round – 22nd and 29th August.
And that’s it – all we need now is to see how the managers begin to shape their squads and integrate new signings. We would advise you pay close attention to the end of the pre-season programme as that is when it is most likely to be the best indication of how the sides will line up come opening day.
Any questions, queries or observations please leave them in the thread for comment or open discussion.

Both of Jotas goal was well taken. It was near the edge of the box (inside) and a low shot on the ground in the bottom corner. Very clinical indeed.

Wolves may be keeping their powder dry. It wasn’t the most taxing of fixtures.

***NEW ARTICLE – PRE-SEASON HUB 2019/20***
As some teams / players return to work this week there are some pre-season games planned in starting this weekend. As such we are launching our usual HUB to keep track of all and sundry in the best fashion that we can.
There is a comment set up for each team and a corresponding Hot Comment set up to link back to it. The idea is that all and any relevant pre-season friendly info is kept under that particular teams tab, where possible. GP will take the lead and post what he can but anyone is free and encouraged to fill in anything they can along the way. The ultimate aim is to have a page / comment for each team with all of their line-ups / match info. Usually works in the end, let’s try and do so again.
Massive thanks to GP for pulling all this together as usual. We didn’t even need to ask him, it just happened. Those lash marks on his back certainly served their purpose a few years back then….
Hot Comment Links….
Thanks GP and I for putting all this together, and will certainly be reading comments on it with interest.
Lash marks, eh. Treat ’em mean, keep ’em keen.
Thanks GP for doing all this and Init for getting the links and the article posted.
Arsenal and Everton get us rolling first by the looks of it. What’s up with Watford?
Watford’s Deeney is currently in my squad (not auto-picked, I hasten to add).
(Realises this slightly crass comment is probably in the wrong place and stops with fright.)
Thanks for pulling all this together. Unfortunately I wont make a single pre-season friendly, unless they open up the 5 aside pitch in Brunei! Sounds exotic, its not. Dry state and the rigs a sh-t hole!
Is it me, or have the Blades already embarked on a cost saving programme? Or could it be the Yorkshire lads dont like foreign travel, which includes neighbouring counties.
Could Burnley return to there usual solid selves this season? Heaton had 2 back to back 150 point seasons followed by Pope who had a 150 point season. Both are 4.5 mil. Was last year a blip due to the Europa League or the new normal for Burnley.
It is possible, they did start doing better as a team in the 2nd half of the season.
I’m on Ryan at the moment but they are certainly plan b, which of course I will pretend was plan a all along if I go down that route.
Brighton’s fixtures are better on the defensive side of things I’d argue, but I won’t be holding my breath.
