Pre-season Hub 2019/20 FPL season
Hello and welcome to the Pre-Season Hub 2019/20 season. A new season of FPL action is ahead and as some of you may now have become accustomed to FF247 will run an article detailing all relevant pre-season news focusing specifically on the team line-ups, goal scorers and assisters. This is the article and here’s how it works;
This article is a living document which we update daily during pre-season. The intention is to offer a one-stop-shop for all fantasy relevant pieces of information as we begin to assemble our new squads over the coming weeks and months.
I intend to personally update this as we go but as always, I’m not precious about it and your help is appreciated in copy/pasting all relevant and salient pieces of information against each team’s comment thread with reference to which game the information relates to.
Each team will be listed alphabetically, and a Hot Comment will be created for each one and kept in the usual place so that for example, all of Aston Villa’s or Sheffield United’s pre-season progress and team news is only a click away. To this end, all we ask is that you keep all talk of any particular team to their own comment thread – this makes it easier to follow the discussion and for any returning persons to locate all chat relating to that team easily enough – and that’s really it.

*Wolves are a big one to note here as they will begin their season competitively on 25th July as they attempt to qualify for the Europa League Group Stage proper where they will have to negotiate three rounds.
Second Qualifying round – above.
Third Qualifying round – 8th and 15th August.
Play-off round – 22nd and 29th August.
And that’s it – all we need now is to see how the managers begin to shape their squads and integrate new signings. We would advise you pay close attention to the end of the pre-season programme as that is when it is most likely to be the best indication of how the sides will line up come opening day.
Any questions, queries or observations please leave them in the thread for comment or open discussion.

Egypt out of AFCON… Salah and El Moh to come back.
Handy, that.
should have plenty of time for rest now before joining preseason.
Perfect! And Senegal are going deep!
Which makes me think Mane is the best choice on form, It’s not like Klopp is going to rest him!
Thankfully Mane doesn’t take penalties for Liverpool!
May do for the Norwich game, we’ll see. Klopp has previous in terms of resting tournament players. Best choice on form, perhaps, though I’ve never read too much into international form (perhaps I should). He’ll need a breather.
That would bring cut price Origi into play – though I doubt many will do that (too pricey for the bench plus would knock out 1xLiverpool option).
Quick first draft, happy with half the squad. Can’t have everything though. Set to change a bit after pre season friendlies though
Nelster
I have Pukki in my current draft. Like that.
Can you tell us anything about Ndombele? Doesn’t score goals looking at his career stats. Surely there will be an already proven attacking 6.0 midfielder than him?
I don’t know much, but he likes an assist. He’s just in there as I haven’t got any Spurs cover. Keeping an eye on pre season.
Fair enough mate. Should be a fantastic signing for Spurs so let’s see if it works out for FPL.
Hello,
Just starting to look at the game again and at the comments here.
To be honest I don’t think Ndombele is a good Fpl option, he plays quite deep and defensive midfieldersare not known to be good Fpl assets. Of course he could prove me wrong, but I would personally look elsewhere.
Managed an hour’s peace this morning with the kids in club and the missus popping to the shops.
The result ….. I’ve ‘started’
Alot of players I don’t know anything about
Me too!
How do!
Sterling or KDB?
Kane or Vardy?
This is where I’m at the minute
Think I’m going to go for Kane and KDB
I will probably go with Kane over Vardy.
And KDB just because I can’t afford sterling and Salah together
Yeah that’s my thinking as well.
Simple question:
Lloris + Laporte
Or
Ederson + Digne
Thanks in advance
Tough one, I’m on Ederson and Digne.
Only because Ederson is the safest way into city’s defence
Ederson and Digne. Though I prefer a 4.5 keeper. Ederson ceiling will be 6 points generally while a cheapo keeper could get save points still lose and easily end up with 3 or 4 points. Then the 1.5 can be made up somewhere else
Might go with a 4.5 and a 4.0 goalie after reading this

Yeah that was a good read. Always been my thinking anyway. I’ll be on Heaton/Pope and if it’s not clear it will have to be Ryan
Yea same for me Smash
I’m kind of set on a lot of players but need to wait on pre season on a few players as might not work.
Yeah maybe that’s the better way after all
My last two drafts have just been tinkering round the edges. I can put this down now until Tielmans confirmed at Leics and the pre-season opportunities emerge.
Guessing Tielemans will be 6.5
How much was he last year? I really like him, thought arsenal would be all over him as a replacement for Ramsey!
He was 6 last year
Found this about newly promoted teams and newly promoted players

We’ll have our own analysis published in due course, on both subjects; promoted teams and new signings.
