Pre-season Hub 2019/20 FPL season
Hello and welcome to the Pre-Season Hub 2019/20 season. A new season of FPL action is ahead and as some of you may now have become accustomed to FF247 will run an article detailing all relevant pre-season news focusing specifically on the team line-ups, goal scorers and assisters. This is the article and here’s how it works;
This article is a living document which we update daily during pre-season. The intention is to offer a one-stop-shop for all fantasy relevant pieces of information as we begin to assemble our new squads over the coming weeks and months.
I intend to personally update this as we go but as always, I’m not precious about it and your help is appreciated in copy/pasting all relevant and salient pieces of information against each team’s comment thread with reference to which game the information relates to.
Each team will be listed alphabetically, and a Hot Comment will be created for each one and kept in the usual place so that for example, all of Aston Villa’s or Sheffield United’s pre-season progress and team news is only a click away. To this end, all we ask is that you keep all talk of any particular team to their own comment thread – this makes it easier to follow the discussion and for any returning persons to locate all chat relating to that team easily enough – and that’s really it.

*Wolves are a big one to note here as they will begin their season competitively on 25th July as they attempt to qualify for the Europa League Group Stage proper where they will have to negotiate three rounds.
Second Qualifying round – above.
Third Qualifying round – 8th and 15th August.
Play-off round – 22nd and 29th August.
And that’s it – all we need now is to see how the managers begin to shape their squads and integrate new signings. We would advise you pay close attention to the end of the pre-season programme as that is when it is most likely to be the best indication of how the sides will line up come opening day.
Any questions, queries or observations please leave them in the thread for comment or open discussion.

The Fixture Tracker…
FIXTURE TRACKER LINK
For those who want their own tracker to play with, just make a copy using the link below (GW’s 1-19)
Hey up Frenchie good team this Wol fixtures not great & Zinch needs keeping an eye on pre season but good all round
Option 1: Ryan Tripper Benardo Kane
Option 2: Lloris Laporte KDB Jimenez
Is Kane worth it? Full team:
Lloris (Button)
TAA VVD Laporte Coleman (Kelly)
Salah KBD Siggy Tielmans (ORV)
Wilson Jimenez (Greenwood)
And is Sterling worth 2.5m more than KBD?
Two for me Stone frog if KDB can stay injury free he can give Sterling a run for his money but Sterling will still come out on top
Have you thought about Jiminez to one of the cheap Everton strikers – enables a few more quid to bring Robbo in for VVD?
I can’t decide between Siggy and Richarlison. Siggy maybe edging it at the moment.
Similarly King v Wilson – am currently on King.
The KdB v Sterling thing is causing me a few headaches. Part of me thinks start Sterling and if looks like KdB’s output is going to be as good, make the swap then – rather than start with KdB and see Sterling galloping off into the sunset and having to wildcard to get him in.
Hi all, do you see Jay Rodriguez been played as a forward or mid? From memory he was a mid with Southampton when he was last in the game. If he is their again a 6m or under is he with a punt?
As far as I know he plays for WBA, so not in PL.
He’s back at Burnley.
Maybe he’ll be really cheap.
He has resigned to Burnley that’s why I asked.. I amnt new
He’s another in the 6m striker option pool.
Thoughts?
Personally, I’d love to see this guy back in the Prem…
Good coup for Wolves assuming he’s still got it in him. Didn’t watch much La Liga last season so can’t say if he has. Mito probably saw more.
Certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but I loved him at Chelsea.
Used to put the fear of God up defenders.
Give me him over 10 Morata’s any day….
I take Morata over Costa and so would Atletico Madrid. Diego is on the decline but his attitude is still that of a star. I wouldn’t have him and I certainly wouldn’t play him over Jimenez or Jota. On a free for bearable salary….maybe, but if you spending money and you want a bully striker get Duvan Zapata, younger and still has skill to offer plus a good attitude.
***Regulars League Update***
Very pleased to say that we have secured a new sponsor for this today and the best news is that it means the prize pool for it goes up from £300 to £500, thus rewarding our loyal regular community even more. Whether that means bigger prizes for the top 5 or the same but with more tiered places I’ve not thought about yet but if anyone has a preference just shout.
So welcome (back) and thank you to FanTeam (formerly one of our original sponsors years ago when they were WooFBet).
They’ve launched their own season long fantasy game with a massive prize attached, details and articles will be posted in due course but here’s something they put out about it today;

That’s good news. Being in the US I can’t take advantage of any offerings they provide, but that’s life in the good old USA.
You can still win the Regulars league Mosc! Just bring that money here to the U.S.
That’s fantastic from them!!
It is really appreciated, in particular by the winners.
Think the only real question left to ask is, I am eligible and can they offer a 1st place and 2nd place prize for the CWC that’s still going on? 😉
Brilliant news all round, welcome FanTeam (great to see you Woofie!)
Wonderful news that. Thanks kindly to the sponsors.
I think I’ll properly try this year now. 😉
I second that..nice pot!
Hey guys! Hope everyone had a good break and are raring to go! Is there going to be a FF247 site team set-up for this season? Really enjoyed the articles from last season and the drama!
Hey gaz, good to see you mate – yes it’ll be very much like last season – Fixtures, Tips, Capo, H&L, Site Team….
Tips writers just turned in their graves….
Hi gaz, yes there will be a Site Team as usual. And before you ask… no, we most definitely haven’t looked at it yet!
Well, it is Thursday evening. Where can it be? I’ve been pressing f5 all evening and am getting melancholic.
Why not post one yourself and pretend it’s the site team. Hostile take-over. Will lift me out of my brown study.
You need to practice your klaxons.
Actually I think we have decided to change it to a Friday this year as the Team News thing is changing again. The emphasis is on ‘think’ there though as I can’t actually remember what we agreed on now. I say ‘agreed’…
You and me both as you can see from our chat earlier.
I’ll get them warmed up later today in anticipation of a ‘teaser’ release later this evening.
