Welcome to Site FPL Team GW15

It’s always frustrating when you’re 0.1 short of your favoured transfer. Worse still, to have to watch said player (Jota) get on the score-sheet and the fallback option (Lukaku) fail to make the starting 11, and then do nothing in the minutes (21) that he did get. Our GW14 score makes for grim reading. Only 3 of our 11 returned; Salah (obviously) Raphinha (fortuitously) and Smith-Rowe (controversially). A paltry 12 points from our other 8 made a bad game-week one to forget – fast. Lucky for us (yay) we’re straight back into it.

57 points total, 1 below the average and a big juicy red arrow that sees us drop to 162k. Not the end of the world.

Our GW14 Result…

We have £1.8m ITB and 1 FT as we quickly jump to GW15. What did we decide to do with that!

Our GW15 Transfer(s)

What we should have done last week. The process was very quick, with a majority of four carrying the move before the other 3 (that make up the committee) had even had a chance to respond. Gallagher to Jota was the move, quickly seconded, thirded and fourthed… now I’m just making up words. This move was less about anything that Gallagher has done wrong, and more about what Jota has done right, and of course what the potential damage of not owning him will make.

We have the exact cash to make the move and we’ll not be hanging around to watch Diogo rise again. Who said we don’t learn from our mistakes eh?

Looking ahead, the wildcard that’s been somewhat forgotten about will likely come into play soon. We have issues, Bachmann in goal (although Watford fixtures do pick up soon) the forgotten man Ayling sat bandaged up on our bench perpetually and a few players who have a fixture turn (for the worse). Then there’s Antonio and Toney, but I’m sure we’re not alone with a decision on what to do with that pair. We’ve done well to hold it this long, but with our focus moving to the Xmas period and a fixture turn for a certain Manchester side who play in red, the wait could almost be over. Watch this space.

To confirm then we have SOLD Gallagher and BOUGHT Jota

Captain – Salah

It’s getting boring right? But we’re not going to be the first to blink. Another unanimous vote this week (from the four who bothered to actually contribute) with the armband once more entrusted to the Egyptian king. Lukaku retains the VC with hopes he makes the starting 11 this week.

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News Gameweek 15

We’ll do away with the wordy intro as you should all be au fait with the new layout of this by now.

As a quick reminder –

There are two versions of this article.

The one below has a drop-down version. It’s fairly idiot proof – you simply click on the small arrow to the right of the team name and you get a drop-down list of all the teams. Simply click on the one you want to see and hey presto, etc. This is the published article with the comments section to crack on with.

The other one is permanently live and has the ‘nicer’ grid layout. If you want to see that version you can click here. This can also be easily accessed at any time via a myriad of links on our homepage – Header link, Hot Topics link, Quick Access link on mobile and it is also linked towards the end of all of our regular articles.

What you see below is a live link to what Drafthound have on their website. Why is that significant? Well, firstly, it now means that the second they make any updates in reaction to live team news then they will also appear on here. Being uber helpful in that respect they also time-stamp all of their line-ups so you can tell to the minute when it was last updated.

As an additional extra if you click on any player icon on the team line-up that will take you to their own page on Drafthound, from where you can see up to date season stats, their upcoming fixture schedule and use a comparison tool to view similar players.

Given their time and effort in providing this content for us it would be rude not to occasionally click on the Drafthound link and check out their own fabulous content as there are FPL articles aplenty on there too.

Morning all! I’ve got 0.5 to spend with 1FT. Would ASM be the one to move or are there any other concerns here? Who would you switch him to?

So, do we think Mount will start again? Could be decent value if he gets to play often.

      AJW says:

That’s what I was thinking, as he netted me 10 pts last GW, but I have given in to temptation to waste my 2FTs and have traded him for Bernardo Silva as well as Edouard for Watkins + Gallagher for ESR, thus effectively reneging on my previously published policy of restraint! But I’ve got a better looking team for it! Was always going to set Mount free at some stage – have just put him into the life raft and given it a little push-off this GW. I’m doubling up on the City and Liverpool mids, hoping to catch a few of their points in my ‘safety’ net! Good luck with your decision making OD!
      😉

With Ronaldo flagged should I switch to Kane and then back again next gw or just hold and use my bench as cover? I have 2 FT’s
    Cheers

      OddDane says:

If you want Ronaldo next week it forces/locks up one of your FTs, but can see the logic.

If you are otherwise happy with the team or fancy saving funds by downgrading one onyour bench that’s also an option – You do have capable subs if Ronaldo is a no-show.

      • RedKev says:

Hey OD, yeah otherwise happy with the team ….think a strong bench will come in useful over Xmas period and there’s no real upgrades I’m considering atm.
Main thought is that Ronaldo will play against a weakened defence….but probably not many minutes, while most of my ml rivals all have Kane. I’ll still have 2FTs next week too if I do the move

    Irish_G says:

Hi all. Thinking of downgrading Antonio to a cheaper forward but not sure for who? Have 1 FT and 0.1 in the bank. Could always bench him this week to have 2 FT next GW. Starting Lamptey over Livramento in the hope he can get some attacking returns seeing as I had him last on my bench last GW. Am I gtg other than that? Cheers and good luck to everyone good

      RedKev says:

Watkins could be a good option if really want to ditch Antonio, although I’m currently keeping him and benching him this week as from gw18 he has really nice fixtures.
      Looks gtg imo

      • AJW says:

Wow RedKev, we both said essentially the same thing at the same time!
        I second your advice! 😉

        • Irish_G says:

Cheers RedKev and AJW and One of the reasons I would like to downgrade is that I have a selection headache every GW! I’ve also grown frustrated with his lack of returns from seemingly good fixtures. I wouldn’t feel bad benching a 5 or 6 million attacker but I know I’ll need a strong bench over the coming weeks. If I did bring in Watkins this GW, I’d have to start him but I don’t know who would drop to the bench rofl

        • AJW says:

That’s true – a benching headache from hell with that very playable mid-field! 😉

        • RedKev says:

          Great minds huh AJW! laugh
Tbf I think a strong bench will be useful over Xmas period and I’m currently facing benching decisions myself for such reason. Think Watkins and Antonio are pretty equal though and switching from one to the other won’t get rid of those benching headaches…..I’d only do that move if you could then get Antonio back again if/when form and fixtures permit!
Either of you guys got any opinions on my post above?

        • AJW says:

Hey RedK, I think the people above have pretty much covered it about Ronnie. Keep him in just in case is my opinion, and if he’s out then it will only be for this week. Although the temptation to have a Kane against Norwich is pretty huge! What the hell – go Kane for this week, then get back Ronaldo next week or whenever! 😉

      AJW says:

Ollie Watkins? Would in no way diminish the quality of your forward line I think. But WHU do have some good matches coming up soon, so beware!

    Tornado says:

Still no idea what to do. 2 FTs, 0.2 M. Plan was Hwang to Dennis this week and Son and Wilson to Fornals and CR7 but I am already priced out. I can’t believe Dennis raised in price twice in 2 days wacko.

Should I do Hwang to bench fodder and stick to the rest of the plan (if there are no other fires to deal with)? Any other ideas? I am trying my best to avoid hits…

    Raziel says:

    2 ft’s… what to do?
