I’d start Mickey Mouse over Shaw

So is the assessment of one of our members who is the only one of us left who actually owns him himself*!

It made us chuckle and so it was to be the article title decided earlier in the week, when things were simple and we had an open-and-closed case of bringing in Lukaku with our free transfer and we were only concerned whether we would captian him or Salah and whether we trusted that Rudiger would feature. Ahhh, simpler times ….

*At least of time of print.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Gameweek 8 is to be reviewed. For “Gameweek 8” read “Liverpool”

Thanks to captain Salah (26) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (6) we limped to an overall score of 46 which was three SHORT of the average and meant an obivous red arrow – we’re down to 448,510 overall.

The rest of our team aren’t even being namechecked here as they are a disgrace to themselves. You can take a look at the screenshot below.

Our Gameweek 9 Transfer(s)

As mentioned, it was Ronaldo out for Lukaku and probably captain him – we liked Lukaku’s fixture and we’ve gone a bit cold United as an entity – then Lukaku came off injured on Wednesday and the plans were up in the air.

We waited until Thursday to see what was said/rumoured.
We waited until Friday to see what was said/rumoured.

This is not to say we don’t have a nice alternative in Jamie Vardy – heck someone even mooted Harry Kane – and that’s before we even consider a major downgrade (at least financially) to take on some improvements elsewhere in the squad.

Friday came and with Lukaku definitely out, Vardy wasn’t overturned in the voting and those he who fancied Kane (GP!) isn’t too upset by the JV9 switch so it must be OK.

To confirm then we have SOLD CRISTIANO RONALDO and BOUGHT JAMIE VARDY

  2. Hey everyone!

    I think I will be doing Jota to Havertz for a hit. I am very tempted to captain him as well. Is that way too risky? I am a massive Manchester United fan and I just cannot bring myself to put the armband on Salah, so I am looking somewhere else. If I went for Havertz – who would you bench?

    • Tornado, also took a hit and brought in Havertz.
      He is my captain as well. Leading the pack at home against bottom Norwich, makes sense.

      • Cheers Ivan. Who would you bench? White/Semedo/Benrahma?

        • My first choice would be Semedo but Benrahma is a good candidate in this case.

        • You reckon Arsenal will manage to keep a CS against Villa? White offers little to nothing in attack and IDK if they will be able to keep it tight against Ings and Watkins wheres at least Semedo offers some attacking threat. West Ham double up seems a bit much but Spurs are shocking, so might as well leave him on the pitch.

        • It’s hard to say. I don’t really trust Arsenal with anything but at the same time Villa are not that great away with only 4 goals in 4 games. Go with you guts mate.

  3. Will Havertz get plenty of minutes with Lukaku injury? A few seem to be going for him but he hasn’t played much.

    • I am one of those managers. Both Werner and Lukaku are out, so it’s very tempting. Home game against suffering Norwich, doesn’t get any better than that (IF, and that’s a big IF, he plays)

    • Igy, Chelsea have no other choice but to play him up front for at least the next couple of games. He scored on Wednesday, hopefully that will keep him going.

  4. Time to get rid of Grealish?

    Would need to create 0.2m and use both FT’s to get Havertz.

    There’s not many other stand out candidates under £8m?

    • I would hold Grealish for this game.

      If you have a free transfer to use, you could tidy up Coufal there or go Ronaldo to Vardy or Kane.

        • I always feel like Vardy let’s me down but I’ve just seen his points total compared to Ronaldo’s…

          Not been paying enough attention this season!

        • Ronaldo doesn’t need to come out by any stretch of the imagination, just some folks are switching.

          I’m holding him for a bit yet FWIW.

        • Now thinking Grealish & Ronaldo to Havertz & Vardy but feel like I’m chasing points/ following the crowd unknw

        • Nice to be different Shadow but this time I think following the crowd is the way to go
