With less than nine days to go and counting until the next deadline we all have plenty of thinking and tinkering time left… The January Wildcard is now available should you feel inclined to use it. Will you activate it immediately, possibly with a view to maximising your team value or will you wait until the transfer window has shut and judge what impact that has had, if any? Whichever you decide is the best strategy for you ahead of the next game-week we welcome your questions and also your advice to others. Please feel free as ever to post your thoughts, questions and feelings about whatever you want to but in particular if you would like others to take a look at your team ahead of GW21 and offer their thoughts and suggestions please post it below or link it and we are sure you will get plenty of feedback. Some of which may be constructive but we can’t promise anything!

Planning to use my WC early, my Current team:
Guzan – Vorm (inj)
Distin (doubt) – Dawson – Terry – Clyne – Rosenior (out of favor)
Morrison (injured) – Yaya T – Lallana – Walcott – Bannan
Rooney – Suarez – Lukaku
My Wilcard team:
Marshall – Mannone (will be rotating keepers)
Distin – Koscielny – Terry – Ward – Chester
Whittingham – Silva – Hazard – Walcott – Colback
Rooney – Suarez – JRod
After my WC team i would have 0.5 in the bank and do Rooney to Aguero when fit. Team value 105.3. Any thoughts?
Not sure you need to wildcard Eagle.
Have you thought of maybe selling Rooney for J Rod and then upgrading Morrison?

I think Ozil is a must when he gets back from injury especially with Wally is coming into form
Yaya has scored 86 points for me and continues to score and get bp’s. It would be one of those decisions that would leave me awake at night if I sold him. Both scored 19 points total gw’s 17 18 &19. Fair point about raising funds though!
Had Ozil but sold him. I think he is class, but Wally is phenomenal for fpl points.
You only mentioned 1 defender. Anymore come to mind? Mertesacker has been brilliant. I nearly sold him as well just before he started doing really well!
I’ve done the same with Ozil i dropped him for Wally which paid off massively!! Yep I’ve got mertsaker but I’m thinking to downgrade him to kos again this frees up an extra million or so.
I’m hoping Ozil drops even more over the next week or so.
I think I’m going to activate my WC tonight and see if I can make some extra money. Team is worth 110.4 at the moment need an extra 0.9 to get my plan to work

Hi guys!! I see a lot of people planning their WC team in 2-3 Gameweeks time,just remember that by then accounting for price rises u might be looking to have to spend an extra couple of million to get the same side!!!! 😉
Evening Peaky, i can cope with that I think – team is fine and possibility of DGWs when Cup replays start and January injuries probably mean I keep mine for a while. Probably!

I’m pretty settled with my team, aprt from Ravel and possibly Adebayor. I’ve got Rooney, but something makes me feel he shoukd be kept. So is it worth just keeping hold of? Certainly till after FA cup ties and poss transfers etc?
Would like Aguero back when fit too!
B-Bash, if your team is settled, playing, you’re happy with it and you can resist the urge it’s much better to wait.
However, I’m the world’s biggest hypocrite as on bored days I start playing with it and then see the team I could have and that little devil tells me to play it!!

You confident Oscar is gonna play 60 odd mins each gw? At 8.7m there is plenty of good 100% starters out there. Having said that my Dad captained him at weekend and gave me a right old ‘told you so’ :-/
U mean not then!!!lol I think there are a lot of points to be had cookie by ‘going for it’!!!! Rather than dithering and waiting!!! Lets be honest even if some big names turn up in transfer window they’re not going to be getting 90 mins gametime anyway!!! If u look at transfers in for today is a good indication of where the money’s going and I reckon a week or so of that is going to put people’s WC out of reach!!!! 😉
Peaky, I completely get what you are saying – there are pros and cons for both waiting and playing, which makes it fun and less boring.
I’m not convinced there’s a right way or a wrong way to be honest, they were just my thoughts.
I maybe only said what I said to justify using mine!!! Sort of talked myself into using it!!!! Lol
