The Boot Room – Rate My Team GW 5 – FPL Fantasy Football Premier League

Photo-02-01-2014-11-40-06-300x214 Game-week 4 is over and the International Break is under way, for many (including the FF247 team) this means wildcard time. So if you are looking for a bit of help on your new squad or simply feel the need to discuss any future transfers, you have come to the right place. We will also be receiving managers in need of a shoulder to cry on. Because frankly, after this 4 week span a tear or two is understandable.

So please feel free as ever, to post your thoughts, questions and feelings about whatever you want to, but in particular if you would like others to take a look at your team ahead of GW5 and beyond and offer their opinions. Please post or link it below and we are sure you will get plenty of feedback. Some of which may actually be constructive, but we can’t promise anything!

    • Please no! United needs a quality striker.. not championship quality..

      • What? He’d be our best striker if he signs. Easily.

        • Austin would be great if he signs. How dear he was last season to all the FPL managers

          anyway he is class, a good finisher who can hold the ball as well

      • I think he will bag a lot of goals for you if he signs!

  2. People with Kane. Will you be keeping him in for Sunderland away or you looking to swap for another striker (e.g-wilson)?

    • That’s a tough call. He really hasn’t woken up yet but, at the same time, it’s Sunderland. See what happens over the break and make a late call on that one, for me.

      • Would it be worth doing Kane and Wanyama to Ayew and Wilson? for a -4 hit or do Hazard to Pedro?

  3. Thoughts on this wildcard team ?

    • Or is kolarov a must have?

    • Howdy mate. Err, is this our doubles team? laugh

      With Clichy injured, Kolarov all the way. Whilst Chelsea are looking so dodgy, i’d be looking at cost-effective attacking options from them, which amounts to Pedro basically. Maybe lose Costa for a mid-priced striker and get Pedro in for Yaya/Sterling and then buy Kolarov. Interesting pick there in Evans. Could be a delight in a Pulis defence if he manages to stay fit.

  4. Could anyone tell me what position description de Bruyne plays and what current player will miss out.

    • Winger/no10. Navas for sure.

      • Thanks nin left or right or both?

        • Could play both i suppose but he seems more at home on the right to me.

    • He’d have to be down as an attacking midfielder, I think Wolfsburg played him centrally as part of a 4-2-3-1 formation but no way will he replace Silva in the Citeh line up, it looks likely that he’ll be on the right hand side in place of Navas.

    Sanchez/Payet – Pedro (good fixtures GW5 tho)

    Might just do 1 move for now and save the other for the end of the break!

    My gut tells me Ruddy is a concern and Ruddy – Myhill.

    • How about losing Pelle&Darmian and leave something aside for Payet -> Pedro for GW6?

      • I really like those moves considering the United fixtures get tough!

  6. Advice on whether to WC would be appreciated.

    Please excuse my bench I know it’s terrible, I’m looking to get rid of Ivanovic, hazard also and revamp both my attack and bench, any feedback will help
