The Boot Room – FPL Fantasy Premier League GW22

Photo 02-01-2014 11 40 06Do you have question marks over certain players or perhaps transfers you are considering for GW22? Who hasn’t?! This is your opportunity to voice those concerns and get some feedback from fellow Fantasy Mangers. We have a goldmine of experienced fantasy managers on tap who are usually more than happy to dispense of their advice and opinions so please feel free to post or link your team and ask away. The January Wildcard is of course still available, should you feel inclined to use it, if you resisted the urge last week! Will you activate it this week or will you wait until the transfer window has shut and judge what impact that has had, if any? Whichever you decide is the best strategy for you ahead of GW22 we welcome both your questions and also your advice to others. Please feel free as ever to post your thoughts, questions and feelings about whatever you want to but in particular if you would like others to take a look at your team ahead of GW22 and offer their opinion please post it below or link it and we are sure you will get plenty of feedback. Some of which may actually be constructive, but we can’t promise anything!

    WC team:
    Mannone, Marshall
    Chester, Koscielny, Turner, Shaw, Coleman
    Januzaj, Ozil, Silva, Hazard, Huddlestone
    Lukaku, Sturridge, Suarez

3.5 in the bank to do Lukaku out — Aguero in

Can you have Rodriguez in the WC card team instead of Lukaku and use the extra funds to upgrade Januzaj to Eriksen or Lallana?

Do think the WC is stronger if you want the short answer :-/

Thoughts on Kolarov from City guys….

Was he rested or injured for the Chelsea, Tottenham and gunners games?

farqs – great attacking potential, but heavily rotated with Clichy for the LB spot, only Kompany and Zabaleta are nailed – I would pass

        Farqs & Jimbo…

        Ref Kolarov..
Got him in my active WC team because of his attacking threat + CS potential..
I know what jimbos saying with rotation, so I’ve got cover in Azpil of Chelsea..!

Option 1. Kolarov & Azpil.. (Depending on Rotation..?)
        Option 2. Zab & Clyne / Williamson or 4.6m def ?

        Thoughts chaps..?

        • jamesimmo says:

BigP – the safe bet is Zaba and Clyne, both nailed (ish) and good CS potential – the other two are *both* rotation risks, so very risky but it could pay off! Hard to call unless I saw the rest of your new team I guess

        • farqs says:

He’s definitely appealing … You just don’t know what city will do in the window to increase competition

      Farqs

I’m risking it. Personally think he is a better player than Clichy but will not be surprised if he is rotated now and again but I’ll wager he’ll play more than Clichy in the run in. Have a defender on standby who plays for such instances.

His attacking prowess and free kick striking has him worth the punt for me at 5.3!

      Tekno-kun says:

I’m very skeptical towards him myself, he seems to be preferred over Clichy, but you still can’t expect him to start every match, and when he doesn’t start he could come on and play the last 10-20 min for a 1 pointer. That being said, when he plays you can definitely expect him to score points, and he’ll probably play most of the time.
