The Boot Room – FPL Fantasy Premier League GW22

Photo 02-01-2014 11 40 06Do you have question marks over certain players or perhaps transfers you are considering for GW22? Who hasn’t?! This is your opportunity to voice those concerns and get some feedback from fellow Fantasy Mangers. We have a goldmine of experienced fantasy managers on tap who are usually more than happy to dispense of their advice and opinions so please feel free to post or link your team and ask away. The January Wildcard is of course still available, should you feel inclined to use it, if you resisted the urge last week! Will you activate it this week or will you wait until the transfer window has shut and judge what impact that has had, if any? Whichever you decide is the best strategy for you ahead of GW22 we welcome both your questions and also your advice to others. Please feel free as ever to post your thoughts, questions and feelings about whatever you want to but in particular if you would like others to take a look at your team ahead of GW22 and offer their opinion please post it below or link it and we are sure you will get plenty of feedback. Some of which may actually be constructive, but we can’t promise anything!

Everton have signed Aiden McGeady, he could turn into a useful FPL player. it depends what price he comes in the game for

Thinking the same thing, 6m could be a steal if he gets enough minutes. He shouldn’t take too long to settle in given he spent so long at Celtic, worth looking at.

So you gonna play Sunderland goalkeeper & Southampton defender ! just play Gabbidon instead of Clyne and hope Sunderland & palace can keep a clean sheet that way you don’t Sunderland game to end 0-0

Doubling up on Silva and Silva might be a little excessive! 😉 I would try and get some Arsenal attacking coverage for the game against Fulham as there could be plenty of goals in that one. Unless you already have someone hiding behing one of those Silva’s.

People, afternoon, what should I do? Here’s my team:

    De Gea

    Ward Kompany Sagna

    Silva Oscar Eriksen *Brunt*

    Lukaku Suárez (c) Negredo

    Bench: Moore; Dawson, Chester, Mutch

    1) Am I right to play Ward over Dawson?

    2) Used my FT but have 3.7m in the bank – is it worth a hit to replace Brunt?

    3) Is it wise to not WC yet, as planned, or should I go for it?

      1) I think so, palace are capable of keeping a CS, but then again stoke can score- crouch/adam etc. overall id probably play ward, as hes at home.
      2) who you thinking? you could upgrade to lallana- strong move imo.
      3) dont think so, i played mine early, because of price changes ect. just because people around you have dont be forced into doing so. you have a strong team, so see no need for WC just yet.

      • jamesimmo says:

Cheers eden mate – yeah I was thinking Lallana at first, then Gerrard, but maybe 1st choice would be Ramsey if back fit as they play Fulham at home. Who do you think is (if at all!) most worth taking a hit for?

Sound advice on the WC front. I saw your plan, it looks tempting, but stick: Ozil and Negredo should both play and probably do well.

        • hazardeden10 says:

tough choice, dont wanna say one who will get a red and play 5 mins!! id probably say in order lallana, ramsey then gerrard. thats my opinion though.
lallana- form of his life, scoring goals, picking upo points. s’otons pivot.
ramsey- played well getting assists and goals. never know after injury though.
gerrard- has pens (+corners?) so chance of goals/assist. all he has to do is give the ball to goofy.
yup fingers crossed, none of considered players are rising, so ill close the tab and hold off!!

        • hazardeden10 says:

lallana and ramsey are a mil cheaper aswell!!!!

        • jamesimmo says:

Good points! Summed it up well… form and fitness says Lallana, but lack of Arsenal coverage and fixture says Ramsey…

…I’ll see if there’s any news on Aaron later on! Ruled Gerrard out. Thanks mate. Haha yeah I would, think you’ll be fine next week!

        • hazardeden10 says:

yep, waiting game i guess ;)you look strong aswell. im off , see ya laterr
