Guess who’s back, back again… with fresh hair cuts and strippers galore!
Yep, we’re back, we hope we are anyway…. Unless any more players test positive between now and June 17th, because… you know, they just absolutely had to get their hair cut. Or party with some strippers. Like we are sure we all have in lockdown….
Anyway, we just wanted to give you an update on both the key points from an FPL perspective but also from ours in terms of what to expect from us over the next few weeks.
FPL Changes
The main one here is that those of you who have been diligently (let’s face it boredly) making transfers each week to get your teams in the best possible shape for the return may find it was a fool’s errand as we all now have UNLIMITED transfers prior to the next deadline. Which is WEDNESDAY JUNE 17TH AT 5PM.
Rather than waffle on needlessly, here is what the Premier League state on their own site:

What to expect.. not a lot in all honesty! But why? Here’s why…
FPL Fixtures
Other than the addition of an initial DGW the rest looks like it will pan out exectly as originally planned. At least for now. That is apart from GW31+ being reinstated in full, as opposed to it being a ‘blank’ ish one, as it was originally scheduled to be.
That initial DGW sees the addition of Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Man City vs Arsenal as they begin the new regime on the Wednesday before the rest start over the following weekend. Our Fixture Tracker has been ammended accordingly but we would probably take our usual colour ranking with a pinch of salt right now as it is based on normal conditions and does definitely take into consideration some sort of home / away bias, and if the Bundesliga is anything to go by then that particular advantage is out the window. Especially as some of these games look like beieng played at neutral venues. Can’t even begin to imagine why. At least not without insulting most of Liverpool or Manchester…..
We may do an initial Fixtures article but beyond that the opportunity to provide any articles between GW’s will be tight, and limited at best.

See the above, basically. Probably the best we can do here is to promise that your usual protagonists will be around in the comment section to help and advise where possible.

We intend to do one of these prior to ‘GW30+’, in fact it is already in hand. Beyond that though we can’t promise anything, again for the reasons stated above; literally no time.

We shall continue to do our transfers and we will post those and our weekly Captain Picks in our Live Match Chat article as detailed below.

This will be posted prior to GW30+ and will have the usual stuff on it such as the deadline and the weekly fixtures picture, as well as the new addition of the FF247 Site Team info.
We don’t intend to post a new one prior to each GW, instead we shall do what we have done with Bundesliga and simply update the article each time a deadline passes with new info. Given that it will contain the aforementioned FF247 Site Team info it will be updated earlier than usual.

Here’s my team. No WC left and no transfers made yet. What would you do here. The plan is to make a team worthy of BB but still something that I can be ok with after that too…
With no WC you need to create a team that is set up for the rest if the season rather than the DGW. I would say have a few DGW players that you can downgrade if needed later.

It’s a nice team and justifies the BB with the bench all doubles.
Looks good to me but could you get Enda Stevens in there instead of O’Connell?
Well I,m going to go the other way from most and FH, due to TV and that the bench would be single GW players anyway.

Suggestion pls. The dilemma is killing. Should I really destroy my team? Or, just FH? Save WC, BB for later. I am actually have a BB team in place, but for later weeks.
Definitely a keeper. FH and do the WC/BB when you have a better sense of what’s going on.
This 5 subs thing makes me wonder about the number of clean sheets we’ll see. Players getting subbed out after 55 mins. And defenders being the ones who will end up with 1 point. The points of the other players depends more on goals and assists…
Nah I can’t see that. Teams certainly don’t tend to take defenders off too often. Plus they can still only make subs on three different occasions but get five subs.
Oh, did not know that. That’s a good rule i think… You are probably right then…
Not exactly true for all teams except City, Pool etc. who have a strong bench.
In Bundesliga the average is at least 75 mins.

A lot of teams have McGinn but does he play?
Looking at his last 10 games or so, looks unlikely?
Like the Martineli pick, can’t understand why most have gone with Nikateh, have I missed something?
If I’m remembering correctly (which I’m probably not!) I think he was injured so that would explain the last 10 games.
As for Nketiah supposedly Arsenal had a friendly the other day and he scored a hatty so I might swap to him as they are the same price but I have seen Martinelli in the first team and score so I’d favour him to get minutes ahead of Nketiah but who knows?
Mcginn was injured. He’s back training now. He’s probably Villa’s second best player.
As for Nikateh vs Martinelli. Yeah he scored a hatty the other day. There is more to it though he was certainly more in favour with Arteta before the break seeing more mins than Martinelli

Well not necessarily because the 3 games before the break Nketiah played and Martinelli didn’t but the 3 before that it was the opposite. It feels like a coin toss to me. Might be safer to go with neither?
Yeah I don’t think he was injured in last three either. I’m starting to think I’d rather take the gamble with one of them over Lacazette , Pepe or Ozil who probably don’t stand that much more chance of starting.
Who McGinn?
Yeah I dont see Ozil or Lacazette play much but think Pepe is most likely!

Hey Dreamers. That’s a good point but Arteta seems to like Saka so might play him to start. I might take him out but for now he’s in.
Yeah have to admit I’m not sure on the situation with Saka As he’s not meant to be a LB. He was playing really well. Kolasniac and Tierney now fit though
