The Premier League Returns… and so does FF247!
Welcome to The Premier League Returns… and so does FF247!
Guess who’s back, back again… with fresh hair cuts and strippers galore!
Yep, we’re back, we hope we are anyway…. Unless any more players test positive between now and June 17th, because… you know, they just absolutely had to get their hair cut. Or party with some strippers. Like we are sure we all have in lockdown….
Anyway, we just wanted to give you an update on both the key points from an FPL perspective but also from ours in terms of what to expect from us over the next few weeks.
FPL Changes
The main one here is that those of you who have been diligently (let’s face it boredly) making transfers each week to get your teams in the best possible shape for the return may find it was a fool’s errand as we all now have UNLIMITED transfers prior to the next deadline. Which is WEDNESDAY JUNE 17TH AT 5PM.
Rather than waffle on needlessly, here is what the Premier League state on their own site:
FF247 ARTICLES
What to expect.. not a lot in all honesty! But why? Here’s why…
FPL Fixtures
Other than the addition of an initial DGW the rest looks like it will pan out exectly as originally planned. At least for now. That is apart from GW31+ being reinstated in full, as opposed to it being a ‘blank’ ish one, as it was originally scheduled to be.
That initial DGW sees the addition of Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Man City vs Arsenal as they begin the new regime on the Wednesday before the rest start over the following weekend. Our Fixture Tracker has been ammended accordingly but we would probably take our usual colour ranking with a pinch of salt right now as it is based on normal conditions and does definitely take into consideration some sort of home / away bias, and if the Bundesliga is anything to go by then that particular advantage is out the window. Especially as some of these games look like beieng played at neutral venues. Can’t even begin to imagine why. At least not without insulting most of Liverpool or Manchester…..
We may do an initial Fixtures article but beyond that the opportunity to provide any articles between GW’s will be tight, and limited at best.
FIXTURE TRACKER
This has been updated accordingly and now looks like this:

Player Tips?
See the above, basically. Probably the best we can do here is to promise that your usual protagonists will be around in the comment section to help and advise where possible.
CAPOS
We intend to do one of these prior to ‘GW30+’, in fact it is already in hand. Beyond that though we can’t promise anything, again for the reasons stated above; literally no time.
FF247 Site Team
We shall continue to do our transfers and we will post those and our weekly Captain Picks in our Live Match Chat article as detailed below.
Live Match Chat
This will be posted prior to GW30+ and will have the usual stuff on it such as the deadline and the weekly fixtures picture, as well as the new addition of the FF247 Site Team info.
We don’t intend to post a new one prior to each GW, instead we shall do what we have done with Bundesliga and simply update the article each time a deadline passes with new info. Given that it will contain the aforementioned FF247 Site Team info it will be updated earlier than usual.
The games for GW30+in full…
Ok here’s mine
BB Active.
KDB or Sterling?
No WC for afterwards I’m guessing?
Yea got WC
Why?
Should I lose Salah as well ?
Got 3 of all the DGW teams
Can’t fit anymore in?
Sterling?
Pepe..nope
Lundy / Salah / Ings
Would cost £2.3m more than I bought them for,
So gunna keep….maybe?
I didnt register that was Leno for some reason so yeah ignore me. I just wouldn’t be too happy with Luiz in there as he’s likely only going to get you 2-3 points as he rarely gets more than 2.
If you are losing a lot of TV on Salah leave it as is!
Looks good for coming games B.
I have just looked at PL stuff and don’t understand the rules. Do we have unlimited trsfs now. What happens next week? Do we keep the new team and do 2 trsfs a week as usual. Then play whatever chips we have after that?
Thanks mate.
You’ll have whatever side you’ve concocted and then can do what you will with it the week after.
You may find you have one, rather than two, transfers though.
I’m thinking of wildcarding straight after all this unlimited binging – keep the binge vibe going.
Thanks and hi Mr K! That clears things up for me. I still have FH and WC so should be able to manage going forward.
Are you serious…just 1 trsf a week?
Well, one after this gw that if you don’t play will become two the week after, as it’s always been.
I’ll be pleasantly surprised if I keep my 2FT after being allowed unlimited transfers.
Astonish yourself: play both.
The act of astonishing oneself is overly unpopular these days, I’d go with Kralin’s suggestion here!
If I don’t use all of the unlimited transfers, will they carry over to the next week ? :mosking:
Can you count unlimited?
Nothing to carry forward.
When is the other(s) DGW potentially going to be?
is it worth keeping hold of any Pool players for GW30+?
There’s no other DGW planned. Any games postponed for the FA semis will be rescheduled to midweek and stay in GW37
This is it
McGinn Is 30 minutes enough to take a punt?
“It has been reported in the Midlands that Villa took on West Brom in a warm-up match which finished 2-2 and McGinn was in the side.
The match is believed to have been played in three 30-minute periods, with McGinn reported to have played in one of those.”
I always have an image of you as permanently beside yourself with worry, pacing the floor (or your mind) at 4am, pressing f5 to see if anyone’s answered one your completely impossible to answer questions.
Deep breath time, hammerfan_lm, then a warm bath and enough sedatives to stun a rhino and nice clean sheets and a good night’s sleep.
Liverpool after GW30 won’t seem such an issue then.
lol@ Kralin.
I am a worrier, that is true.
But the question in general was for a friend as well as for me, as I wasnt sure if there would be another doubles week. We were deciding whether to BB or TC for GW30+.
I will most probably BB (not 100% yet) and just leave TC for a single game week.
And as you say, Pool may well have won it in a week or so, so they will just let the youngsters have a run out anyway
Hi all! It’s good to be back and reading posts from familiar faces! I hope everyone is safe and well! I’m like everyone, I haven’t a clue what to do or which route to take as I’ve got all my chips remaining and the WC! This was my team before anything!
Igy
Good squad that, nice :good:
This is probably our only DGW left so I plan to load up on DGW players for this and then WC the following week with 15 decent choices to see me through the rest of the season with the FH (and also TC in your case) played when a good opportunity presents itself.
Others who really like their own team long term (or don’t have a WC) plan to free hit this week taking advantage of the DGW thay way and then revert to their existing team.
Whatever suits you I suppose.
Lots of options. Try building a team for this week and see how it looks and how it might affect your TV. I would also seriously consider using the TC chip this week and taking a slightly different route. May be BB in 32 with quite a few teams having a rest for the cup games after.

To Lundstram or not to Lundstram? Minutes are definately a concern, but is potentially explosive and still has high ownership.
Risk with Berge being there now.
I’d take more secure defenders from United.
If you have two Sheffield United defenders already I think I’d be happy with the risk. He will probably start one out of two is my guess. I think it’s worth the risk personally because of the goal threat. However there are cheaper more guaranteed starters now for sure in Egan, Basham and O’Connell
