Transfer Deadline Day

It’s transfer deadline-day and one of the most exciting days of the year in the football calendar and possibly one of the most important in terms of fantasy football, as come the end of play today many PL teams will have a different outlook depending on their business on this one day. With FPL taking a mini-break due to international fixtures this is the perfect time for many to reflect on today’s happenings and decide whether any new signings are worth a punt or will impact positively on the players they already have. We kick this article off early doors and look forward to seeing it through until the deadline tonight with all of your rumours, hopes and probably lies (!) along the way. Keep us up to date on anything you hear and most importantly how you think it will affect your fantasy football team…

  3. It’s 4:30 am here in India, I’ve been up since 2 following the news! Any truth in the rumours about the Falcao deal collapsing?

    • Hi Veer, nice dedication matey! Hearing bits similar to that and whilst I would be surprised if it did fall through it’s a bit odd that it has taken so long if there isn’t some sort of issue somewhere. He only arrived in Manchester late on but even so they’ve had a long time to sort it in relation to a standard medical.

    • TETH, perhaps a bit soon to be jumping on Boyd and HBA?! Watch and see if they start?

      • Boyd is just a bench fodder, hes 4.4 and bound to rise now. Ben Arfa will be fantastic Im sure of it, well worth the punt i reckon.

    • Guzan has terrible fixtures. Other than that. Very nice. Falcao tho 😉

      • Yeah he does, I only copped that after I confirmed it. I reckon Ill go with Krul and Fabianski! Yeah hes a tasty one, but I wouldnt be willing to punt the guts of 10-11m on a newcomer, same reason with Di Maria and Balo! smile

    • I’d probably WC, De Gea is losing value and having a stinker, Arsenal cant keep a clean sheet, Liverpool are always weary at the back, and the WC team is very well rounded! Still not sure on Falcao, but that could cause me some stress yet haha.

      • Thanks mate. Yeah I think I will. Just have too many nothing players. My team is good I feel but just not scoring.

        • Yeah I was the same, I had Rooney and Mata, but bottled that with the WC. I suppose FPL is all about players scoring points, not good performances, which dont always go hand in hand.
