The one with Russ… Part 2
Hello everyone and welcome to UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 GW4. Our mirror image is back again so soon, as promised. If you wildcarded on the back of Russ Part 1 then well done as it probably paid dividends and here you are for part 2 of that, probably already set up and ready to go. If you didn’t then either way it’s GW4 this midweek and you will have at least 2 FT’s, maybe 3.

The main purposes of this article are threefold; to remind you to do your team, to provide a separate CL space to ask for help and advice from the community and to hopefully reciprocate in that aim and lastly just somewhere to chat about the games as they happen; a CL Live Match Chat if you like.

Let’s go take a look at the fixtures and how the Regulars League is shaping up…

Housekeeping GW3
The main points to consider this week are as follows;

    • Transfers
You get two free transfers each week and this one is no different. You can choose to carry one over should you wish, but you will never get more than three in any GW, which means that you should have somewhere between 2 & 3 transfers for this week.
    • Deadlines / Manual Subs / Captain Switches
There are two, essentially. The first and main one is at kick off on Tuesday which is 5.55pm UK time. You will get to see the line-ups of 4 teams prior to it (Barcelona, Slavia, Zenit & Leipzig).

The second is on Wednesday at the same time. This is the one before which you can change your team around, bring in your subs manually and also change your captain to a Wednesday player, if you so wish.

When setting your team up just make sure that all of your ‘Tuesday’ players are on the pitch to begin with, you can then bring your ‘Wednesday’ guys in prior to 5.55pm on that day. Likewise with your captain.

The Game Itself and the FF247 League Codes

You can access the game here – Fantasy Champions League

We have two leagues running;
Our official FF247 league code is 32NQYUI4KW
This one is the usual open air league that all and sundry are welcome to join; there are about 800 people in it. We have no idea who most of them are!

Our other one, the ‘Regulars League’ is now only open to new entrants via email
Please email us on contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk if you want the code.

We did ask that people respected the purpose and integrity of this one; that is to say that you should only enter it if you consider yourself to be a Regular Community member on here. But this was unfortunately not adhered to. The phrase ‘this is why we can’t have nice things’ springs to mind. As a result we have booted about 50 people out of it who we do not recognise. If you find yourself suspended and feel you shouldn’t be then please just say so in the comments below and we shall happily reinstate you.

I have a holding spot with Sterling, but wonder if he will start? It is against a weak team and Mahrez will probably play. The eternal Peptation dilemma.

Casimiro to Coman…how do you the transfer. Thinking of Timo Wener how do you think he gonna performed this week having score more than 2 goals and assist twice over the weekend or should make use the transfer icon for him have had 4.0m in the bank…??? Quick thoughts lads

    Morning all
Any news on Thomas Meunier injury?

So far have used one of the 2 FT to get rid of Kun who most likely will be rested for the pool game at the weekend. Ideally with the other one I want to bring a player from the tonight’s games as there will be too many for tomorrow and might end up with a dilemma. Any ideas :scratch_one-s_head:

Ivan – you are a bit exposed to Juve with 3 of them playing away etc. perhaps move Matuidi? What’s the money situation?

It is a challenge getting good players for todays game. I have Sabitzer and Tousart as of now. On WC so anything can change.
Can I presume that MC will not post their lineup before KO as they play tomorrow? I have Sterling so hoping to find out in enough time to get rid of him if he does not play.
Also in two minds re Messi or Mbappe. Leaning towards Mbappe. All the best to you!

      • Thanks Bees. This is it, we can never predict what Pep will come out in the FPL, leave alone the UCL. The big game on Sunday will certainly have an impact on the tomorrow’s game. City are top of the group and I wouldn’t be surprised if they play some weaken team in order to be in full strength for the pool game. I am not even sure whether I need Ota tbh :scratch_one-s_head:

Thanks Ivan. Have removed Sterling. It just gets more that I can take with the rotation nightmare.
Any changes you would make to my team? Have .5mib.

      • Team looks nice bees. You gonna have a headache for a captain pick tomorrow between Lewa and Mbappe. I know if Messi fails tonight it will be Lewa, but then again, it could be a 50/50 situation as well smile

        • bees393 says:

Good point Ivan. Chose Mbappe thinking of upcoming matches, and Messi’s are not so great. But I will have a transfer. So will go with Mbappe and Messi.

      • The thing is that after this round some teams will be through the last 16 and the big players will be rested in the next matchday. Maybe then we can play the limitless WC.

        • bees393 says:

That is the idea. Seems the best time to play it.
Decided to go with Mbappe and Lewa. Mane captain today. Will sweat it out tomorrow. smile

I’m on the Kun-> Mbappe camp too. Otherwise just the bureaucratic Orban to Lodi move given the former’s injury and Lodi’s form and price.
    Good luck everyone.

I am going for Mbappe too. Thought about Messi (who will probably score a hatty), but Barca are just awful of late and I don’t trust them. Also their next matchups are not so good.
Is the Uefa site showing starters accurate? Currently have Sterling but a bit nervous about it.
