UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2022/23

THE FINAL DEADLINE: SATURDAY 10th JUNE 8pm UK

The Den Perry Tribute Band…

After months of toil, sweat, and tears, both for them all, and of course us, we have finally arrived for the last hurdle. It’s Inter vs Man City on Saturday, for them. For us, it’s Den Perry vs The Rest! As is now becoming traditional(ly boring) Den has a healthy lead and looks likely to walk away with yet another CL trophy! He’s becoming the Man City of our CL game, before Man City even become the Man City of theirs.

From a game POV all you really need to know is that you now have another FIVE FT’s before the final on Saturday.

Looks good Chips, similar to the WC I am currently working on smile

        • Chipster says:

Cheers Ivan. What do you think about Bellingham? Was thinking of swapping him out for Mane, but Jude has the better form and Mane is not in the predicted starting XI that I can see (although with injury to Sane and others, I’d have thought Mane would play unless he too is injured).

Also what about a LIV defender – maybe Trent for Sylla? Keep thinking that Brugge’s run of CS has to snap soon, but LIV are all over the shop at the moment so I don’t trust them. But surely Trent has a higher ceiling than Sylla. What do you think?

          • Chips, Mane has been very inconsistent in the Bundesliga and Bellingham is the top scorer in UCL fantasy so far, plus Dortmund need a point to qualify. Also, bare in mind that Bayern, City, RM, Brugge and Napoli are already trough to the last 16.

I expect Spurs and Chelsea to field strong teams as they both leading their groups but just by one point and both are playing the second placed teams.

As for pool, don’t trust them right now and Ajax will have to win this game if they are to stay in the tournament.

          • Chipster says:

Thanks Ivan. I think I will stick with Bellingham and swerve Mane then. That was my original instinct too. I think LL can send you crazy thinking you have to take the most expensive players, haha.

I may get a Chelsea defender in for Sylla, rather than getting Trent. I’ll have a ponder… mail

      Looks like I have at least four players out;
      Benzema,
      L Diaz,
      Pedro G,
      Carvajal

      Anyone I’m missing?

      Thoughts on good moves?

I had 3 injured and replaced them taking a hit.
Still have the WC but not sure whether should play it now or keep for MD6 when there will be massive rotations unknw

        • OddDane says:

Haven’t the foggiest idea to be honest. You look pretty well set for this week though.

          • At this stage is very difficult to predict what is going to happen as some have already qualified, others are playing for survival and some just fighting for that top spot of the groups. Mind you, many still will be aiming to finish third which will give them a place in the Europa League.
I got it wrong this seson playing the LL so early, should have kept it for the next round and the WC for the QF but hey ho. Might go with this or if I have time later, do some late crazy wildcard for which will regret.

          • OddDane says:

Yeah that was my plan too, but those chips are tempting! wink

That, and an abundance of injuries dash

          • Oh well, it is what it is, I’ve already written off this seson.
The only way to catch up is next week when maybe the WC helps to field the team with the remaining hopefuls and rely that the majority wont have that luxury after their chips have been used sarcastic

This any good…about to take 4ph to bring in Chillwell (for Matip) , Jao Mario (for Sane) and Grimaldo (for Guerriero)?
      Any better options? Thanks
