Welcome to World Cup 1st Group Phase Live Match Chat. The long four year wait is over and so is the tinkering for the first set of matches. We hope that you are happy with the 15 players you ended up with, but even if you decided against playing the fantasy version we still encourage you to partake in the chat below. We are sure there will be plenty to discuss that doesn’t always involve whether you should get assist points for a shot that was blocked or your striker really did touch the ball a la Kane before it went in. Predictor games, brackets, bets on the golden boot are all welcomed here. And yeah, even old school footy chat for those that who are just watching the games for fun and just want to talk about the Joga Bonito.
So that you have them to hand, we will post a screenshot of the substitution rules, transfer allotment, wildcard, boosters and of course we will have times and dates for all matches in this, the first of three group phases/rounds/fixtures or whatever you want to call it.

Its so true Matty. Got 12pts from 3 players so far, Muslera, Hamed and Cavani (c), My other 12 are from tomorrow onward. Which of these 3 would you cappo, Coutinho, Marcelo or Kimmich ?
It’s got to be Couthino out of those 3, Elle. Marcelo could be a cheeky little pick but I’d play safe and go with Couthino. Have you got more in the rest of the games?

Ah you’ve got loads left to play. I’d fancy Lukaku to be cap for sure. I have the Nigerian GK and LB but the LB will be going back to the bench after this game only stuck him on in case.

Every game today has had at least one penalty, the last 4 games in this WC have had a penalty. This is brilliant! They have all been correct decisions as well!!

Actualy , the last 5 matches have had 6 penalties.
So keep the armband on Griezmann or try for more? Thinking of trying Coutinho and having Kane as a backup. Thoughts?
This is where the game gets interesting. I have Mitrovic for tomorrow, Lukaku on Monday and last shot is Lewandowski.
Kane should be able to score more than a goal but…. not easy to predict what might happen in a WC match.

Zorro, apart from him I have Savic, Mueller, Ivanovic and Hummels. I am going to stick with my original plan and go for Mitro. Mexico could turn to be more difficult opposition to Germany than Costa Rica for Serbia, at least on paper.
Keep it going to my mind. I’ve had three 12 pointers so far and haven’t given it a second thought. The extra 2×2 wouldn’t change that.
