  1. Utter scenes here when that Croatian goal went in! laugh

    • The rakija must be flowing around 😆

    • Forgot you were still there Swirly, must be an awesome atmosphere.

  2. Wow :bouncy-balls:
    :bouncy-balls:

    • Could have been 3 if that free kick was just a bit lower!

      • Yeeeeeeeeeeeees now it is :bouncy-balls:

        • bye bye Lionel, you can watch Ronnie on tele.

        • I don’t know if you remember Zorro? A couple of months ago I said that is not going to be the year for the South Americans. Watch tomorrow Brazil going down the drain as well 👿

        • Yup you did call it amigo.

  3. Modric for the Ballon d’Or?!

    • Screamer was it? Said so on the radio but I didn’t hear the live commentary.

    • If he puts Croacia in the final he is surely a contender with the UCL final in there too.
      Him and that man Lovren!!
      Let that sink in

    • It was just superb.

  4. What do we reckon, keep the armband merrily going round or play safe and stick? If it continues it’ll go on Milinkovic-Savic and then Lukaku. And then Trippier I suppose! Ultimate fall back is Trippier actually as that’s almost certainly a 12 plus he’s obviously on most set-pieces. Think I just answered my own question smile

    • I agree with Init, Init 😉

    • I am thinking the same init. Have to decide between Mitro and Savic. Original plan was to go with Coutinho but don’t have good feelings for that one. Serbia will be inspired by that win from their neighbours.

      • Brazil will also be inspired by that loss from the Argentinians. 😉

      • Is that how it works over there? We never get inspired by Scotland winning, funnily enough laugh

Think I’d give Mitro another go. I didn’t actually catch that game but apparently he wasn’t fairly unlucky and played well from what I gather?

        • Well, in the Balkans is the same. By inspired I meant they will want to do better. Mind you, not long ago both teams were the same country, Yugoslavia and now they hate each other.

        • “We sent them homeward tae think again, O Flower of Scotland”. Presumably your geography is OK mate, just look at the map, who’s on top? GP will be here soon…

        • He’ll just be relieved to finally have some back up after years of mild racist abuse on here smile

He’s always been a good sport about it though. Just lifts up his kilt and takes it like a man :hippo:

        • Didn’t know you were gay Cookie, each to their own…

        • Oops, dunno why said Cookie, ah what the hell, English cad so I’ll leave it. Make the hippo blue next time?

    • If you keep talking to yourself you’ll end up like Ivan…

  5. Danilo won’t play tomorrow, think they described it as a quad injury.

  6. Guess what game Messi will be watching tomorrow 🙂

    • Ronnie on PS4?

    • I think it’s unfair how Messi is taking all of the flak for this poor poor Argentina team.

I wouldn’t lift any of their players, Dybala apart and he doesn’t get a start, to place in to any of the other big sides.

Only good thing is Maradona being there in person to see his side lose. laugh

      • Serious question, in your opinion, how big is the difference in ARG/POR squads mate?

        • Argentina have much more attacking firepower in Aguero, Higuain, Dybala and the dwarf. We ‘only’ have Ronaldo. Argentina are not that great – we’ve said it before here – but they shouldn’t be that bad. The difference for a team like ours is imo the head coach. Sampaoli has no idea what to do with these players whereas Fernando knows exactly what to take from each and everyone. That and having Caballero instead of a Goal Keeper is also a factor. I think they may still go through though if Iceland fail to win Nigeria.

        • The Portuguese one is more balanced in my view.

Argentina and I said it befoe the tournament are woeful in defence and losing Romero only made that worse.

At the start I would have preferred having a crack at the tournament with Portugal’s lot. Especially given their recent tournament victory.
