    Hi people
Hope everybody is having a great fantasy tournament so far.
Some questions for you all about my team below:
    1. Keep capo on Eriksen or twist to Neymar (then Meunier)? My twisting last round landed me on Lewandowski for 4pts total, so am tempted to stick with 14pts.
    2. Thoughts on keeping players for R3 from teams who are already out (I have Salah, Ziyach, Cueva and Gallese already – boy do I know how to pick em!). Do they really have anything to play for, or is pride enough to motivate them to finish on a high?
    3. Would you WC this team before R3, or try and limp through and save WC until before QF (I did -4 hit last round for Lewa + Al-Faraj > Salah + Cheryshev, which returned 15pts, so happy to take a hit again for R3 if required).
    4. Are player price changes likely to be a big factor? If so, is it better to WC before R3 and load up on in-form players from teams likely to go through (e.g. Ronaldo, Costa, Griez, etc) before they go up in price, or is it OK to wait and move for those players after the price rises using the unlimited transfers before the Round of 16?
    5. Best strategy for using boosters (still have both). Was thinking bench boost before round of 16 (i.e. when using unlimited transfers and the extra £5.0M to spend) and maybe max captain in QF?
    Cheers

Jeez Chips! Can we take a question each?! 😉

Bedtime now so I’ll take no.1, first come first served and all that.

I’d twist there on the capo. Neymar is hardly a bad option and he could explode. Meunier is a great back up in the Trippier mould of an almost guaranteed CS and 12 points and some potential attacking returns if he flops.

      • Chipster says:

        Lol! Cheers Init. Makes sense.
        Q2 – Q5 still available 😀

        • secretzorro says:

2 & 3 smile Teams with nothing to play for will give the cannon fodder some game time, therefore wildcard NOW, with players who MUST win and the penalty takers.

        • Chipster says:

Thanks SZ. I agree departing teams may give bench players a run out, but by all accounts Salah, Ziyach and Cueva are the best players in their respective teams and all are on pens. Are they really likely to be rotated for R3? That just leaves the Peru GK, who is only a keeperoo with Allison anyway, so would happily hold him.

        • Chipster says:

Good point Cookie, but I will be able to see the lineups before the R3 deadline, so can have a backup plan in case he doesn’t start.

      • secretzorro says:

#4 You can load up with SPA & POR for example, CR7 and Diego will be fighting for top spot and will play prior to go up in price therefore WC now.

      DMC says:

I’ll take Q4 and to Mackenzie easier I’ll answer with a question – are we sure prices change ahead of the knockout stage?
My take is that the player’s performances in the last 16 will affect their prices ahead of the quarter finals.
Players performance during the groups does not affect their prices so there can’t be any changes before they play a game of the knockout stage. Confusing?

I hope Question Time is not closed 🙂
I am having a busy day with a couple of long meetings and most likely won’t be able to see the lineups from the first game.
Just one question. Captain for today, Coutinho or Mitrovic, or even Savic?
Brazil will be desperate to avoid an Argentina like embarrassment and Costa Rica will try to spoil the party. It will be a typical dirty South American game with many VAR decisions involved and God knows what might happen.
Serbia will try to secure the top place and not leave it for decision day when they play Brazil. Of course if any of those fail Lukaku will be there as a backup or even James might come to the rescue as a last resort.

    Goldilocks says:

    Morning all,
Captain dilemmas all round! I only have Coutinho playing today and already have a 14pt (Cheryshev) captain. Do you think Cou is likely to score more then 1 goal?? After the last rounds captain debacle I’m tempted to play safe. :what:

      inittowinit says:

Tempting to play safe Goldi. Depends who else you have left after today?

      • Goldilocks says:

        heres the team…..

        • Keethan07 says:

Tricky one. I’d be tempted to leave it as it is unless you are feeling wild with Coutinho/Werner.

        • inittowinit says:

I’d probably stick in this case.

        • secretzorro says:

if you’re serious, hold. If you’re feeling frisky, go for it! But then I’m the idiot that started My Rules… Go for it K, you know you want to, deep down, inside…

        • Goldilocks says:

I’m not listening to that SZ 👿 on my shoulder! Although, i’m also not that serious. Its all only fun until FPL turns out lives in to a weekly misery anyway!

Thanks Init and Keethan, i’m not feeling like anyone left will score more then 1 at the most so will probably just stick. But then again, my predictions so far in this comp have been horrendous! Only 1 correct score so far!

    Keethan07 says:

Hey lads, here’s another captaincy switch q. Stick with Erik or roll the die with Mitro, Lukaku/Meunier?
