Grab, Avoid or Bore off!

Welcome to our second installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2015-16 season. For those new to the site, it is a simple question and answer segment that covers everything from the serious to the absurd. So why do we call it that? Tradition, is the easy answer as we basically have veered so far off course that it barely has any resemblance to the original format. Thanks to our members for some of the ideas on the questions, we tried to include most of them or some semblance of them. Well enough of the small talk from me, let’s see what the girls have to say about a number of topics ranging from FPL dilemmas to who is cuter?

Morning manages, things are looking a bit grim for me this coming week.
I have 1FT and 0.6m in the bank, any suggestions?

Pelle, Martial or Costa – Vote please ! (Have Ighalo and Gomis as my other strikers)

      Smash10 says:

Costa I think. Chelsea must start performing at some point and will put a run on. Pelle does have some decent fixtures. Martial could really go either way though does seem like cheap United coverage if they maintain form

Lol I love everyones blind faith in Chelsea, and the oath Costa. Has Costa even shown any hints at all that he has found any form? If he has I musta missed that? Half of you scrambling to get him thinking what? He might do what sanchez and aguero did? The difference here is that those two are world class, where as costa would look at home with Rooney in a pub league. Are Spain even playing him at the moment? im pretty sure they dropped him for now

      • Smash10 says:

Blind faith? What are you judging it on a handful of games. When was the last season Chelsea did not finish in the top four. Yeah Chelsea have not shown much form so far. Or maybe you just recommend players on their last game

        • lukealike says:

Well with fantasy, in form players are key are they not? Go with Costa im sure he will pay off for you.
And it is blind faith, if you choose to ingore the facts and their first 8 games of the season then yea its a legit choice I guess. Hell I was good football when I was like 12, maybe I will find my form next week also smile

Meh they probably will get a top 4 finish but I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt.

        • lukealike says:

maybe im harsh, he has skill and is a good player. Just not right now, I dont see it. If he makes next GW ultimate team I will eat my hat

        • Smash10 says:

Chelsea as a team have not turned up yet. They will at some point. Costa was second top scorer last season though don’t get a lot of bonus love. You are right about form but players like Vardy and Pelle are not capable of doing business every week. You need them at right time

      Andy says:

Pelle for me would be the form guy but either Sturridge or Costa could be better for squad composition as it’ll be easier fitting Aguero back in with a high costing forward sitting there in his place, if you go the Pelle route I’d be wary of spreading to much of the value saved into other areas of your squad as it might make bringing the little Argentine back into your team tricky.

      • Raziel says:

I am leaning towards Costa. He’ll be hungry. ^_^

        • Snookie Bear says:

Same here Raz, leaning towards Costa as a differential and is a proven goal scorer, if you think Chelsea’s poor form is going to continue whole season with Chelsea finishing 15-16th than you’re wrong this is MOURINHO and I am fairly confident he will take them to Top 4 and with injury of Ivanovic it all seems better 😉
It’s a risk but if you want to take lead in mini leagues you have to take risks and I will do it 😛

        • matt says:

Costa did recently say he was overweight so he probably will be hungry :pity:

    Morning all.
I hate international week nothing but problems.
Was planning on doing pedro to payet and gomis to pelle. Now got all sorts of problems.
Got 2ft 0.7 in the bank
Glad I didn’t use my transfers at the start of the week.
    Any advice ? Help lol

      lukealike says:

      aguero > pelle
      gomis > vardy
      pedro> mane, eriksen, payet
      defenders idk?

Gotta work out whats most urgent to fix, pelle will score against leicester so I would say he is the most urgent you need to get in.
Then I guess you need to fix your defence, im not sure who has the good fixtures. If I was you I would probably make 3 transfers, aguero and your two defenders. I dont like gomis in the slightest but I guess he could get some points but I would get him out and pedro as soon as you can without taking too many hits. One of those two will probably get some points next game week though

      • lukealike says:

those defenders how injured are they? No chance next week they will be fine again?

        • shanec says:

Cheers Luke. Evans 75% hamstring problem.
Naughton the same but personal reasons
          Nyom knee injury 50%

        • lukealike says:

maybe by the next gameweek one of them could be back to fitness or something? If you can, then wait till next friday or something. Would suck to take one out who comes fit again, if you do make hits though it would be nice to recoup the points and with defenders thats never going to be an easy feat. If you had 3 attackers to swap, you could net some points but taking those hits for 2 defenders is hard justified. Say you take one out and he did get a clean sheet so what 6 points. -4 for transfer only 2 points left, which is what your bournemouth defender might get anyway unless they concede many goals.
So in hindsight, maybe only transfer out one defender this week and just accept you aint getting a clean sheet vs city smile clean sheets hard to come by anyway.

        • lukealike says:

and Farncis gets assists and stuff ocassionally. If you wanted to be an optimist smile

Made a mistake by making transfers before the international week, Should i remove aguero for pelle this week or wait untill next week.
    I’m Already on -8.

Hi everybody. I’ve been away drowning my sorrows after that Scotland game. What an absolute killer. My best mate’s new girlfriend who I’d never met came in as it happened and I completely blanked her and everyone else for about an hour, I was so distraught. Still hurts actually.
So, anyway, what’s the general consensus on Aguero? Anyone in the know?
