Welcome to World Cup 1st Group Phase Live Match Chat. The long four year wait is over and so is the tinkering for the first set of matches. We hope that you are happy with the 15 players you ended up with, but even if you decided against playing the fantasy version we still encourage you to partake in the chat below. We are sure there will be plenty to discuss that doesn’t always involve whether you should get assist points for a shot that was blocked or your striker really did touch the ball a la Kane before it went in. Predictor games, brackets, bets on the golden boot are all welcomed here. And yeah, even old school footy chat for those that who are just watching the games for fun and just want to talk about the Joga Bonito.
So that you have them to hand, we will post a screenshot of the substitution rules, transfer allotment, wildcard, boosters and of course we will have times and dates for all matches in this, the first of three group phases/rounds/fixtures or whatever you want to call it.

Think I’ll leave it on Kaku although Lewa is tempting!! Got 62 with Lewa, Jrod and Sanchez left, can’t decide on what transfer to make but thinking I’ll either bring in Cavani for Lewa or Costa for Jesus, will decide in the hour between rounds 1 and 2!

Happy with my 65pts so far. Mojica to come in for Mitrovic. Is it worth putting Sabaly in? Worried Lewa and co may put a hammering on Senegal and he could end up with 0pts. Thoughts?

In a dilemma for making substitute for phase one and transfer for next phase.
1. Shall substitute in all players on my bench for current phase ?
2. Transfer for next round. Shall I take -4 hit for Neymar-> ronaldo AND Cahill -> (any 5mil def who is nailed)

Had Munier as C, got 5 points from him as he took Yellow so giving me total of 10 points, now have Lewa and James for today is it worth risk to switch as this might be last chance, considering how tournament has turned out it seems little risky

Morning lads, I was thinking of making a hit this week to so De Arrascaeta to Diaz (Panama) and Grosicki to Isco. I kind of want to drop De Arrascaeta as it’s believed he will be dropped. What do you think?
If you did Neymar to Suarez or Cavani what would you have left for that other striker spot?
Yeah I was looking at that and was thinking Neymar and De Arrascaeta to Cavani and Hirving Lozano. I’d have 8 mil if I brought in Cavani.
With the talk of JRod being injured, am I right in thinking I can just wait till 1pm and see the Columbia line-up before subbing him in? As in do we always get to see the first line-up of the day whilst subs are still live?

I believe you do get some time between the line-ups being released and the game closing down (I have so far anyway). I wouldn’t hang about too long though.
You’ll get an hour. Line-ups at 12 ish, deadline is KO at 1.

I mean I can do it now but 2pts ( what I’d lose) feels a lot in this game! The app says I can make changes up to 2pm CET time which is 1pm GMT right? And the lineup will be confirmed at 12 an hour ahead of kick off?
