Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 2

Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 2

First hurdle of 38 cleared. No fallers (injuries), and with the steady, experienced, consistent runners of Johnstone, Shaw, Estupinan, Mbeumo and Watkins jockeying for position, the big favourites – Haaland and Saka – have already broken into their thoroughbred stride.

The Site Team opened up 2023/24 season with 75 points and we’re most content with that. Solid base to build upon, being as it is, 11 points above the average for the week.

Erling Haaland was the obvious captain and those 26 points look neat on paper, but in reality with his ownership, it means you’re running to stand still so looking deeper into the team we must praise Bukayo Saka (10), Bryan Mbeumo (7), Pervis Estupinan (7), Sam Johnstone (6) and Luke Shaw & Ollie Watkins (5 each).

The United double-midfield was disappointing but no panic yet and Odegaard will be just fine.

Transfers & Team Selection

We have 1 Free Transfer and 0.0mln in the bank.

There are no plans to make any moves this week ahead of the Friday evening deadline. We stand by to react to anything we hear before that time but as it stands, we will remain unchanged.

Captain

It remains Erling Haaland. And will do until further notice probably. Saka is on standby incase needed.

Our Gameweek 2 Team

We look ahead with anticipation to Gameweek 3 with two transfers in our pocket.

Stones out for a hit or just play Botman and hope all 11 play?

It depends on if you want to keep Stones longer term?
Can you afford another £5m+ DEF?
You picked Botman for a reason and the way City have been playing the last few matches Botman may get you a point or two.

How long is Stones out for? Really wanted to roll this week but the Baldock rumours are worrying too. Can I hold? Or is a transfer required?

Replaced Stones with Lewis, cheap and cheerful and hopefully nailed mda

    Hi,

Do I keep Foden or go with Maddison or Diaz?

Should I go with turner in goal?

      Terminators says:

I would go with Turner (as I have done) only just though, Utd might keep a clean sheet but they were pretty poor last week so I think it’s doubtful.
I don’t know on Foden, the trouble is nobody seems nailed in MID at City, even Pool, Arsenal, UTD and Chelsea anymore, if you want rid of Foden for a few months then go for it, it’s very difficult with MID’s I think.

I’d keep Foden for this week. Maddison would be good for next week onwards.

    1. Worried about Ramsdale rotation
