Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 2

Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 2

First hurdle of 38 cleared. No fallers (injuries), and with the steady, experienced, consistent runners of Johnstone, Shaw, Estupinan, Mbeumo and Watkins jockeying for position, the big favourites – Haaland and Saka – have already broken into their thoroughbred stride.

The Site Team opened up 2023/24 season with 75 points and we’re most content with that. Solid base to build upon, being as it is, 11 points above the average for the week.

Erling Haaland was the obvious captain and those 26 points look neat on paper, but in reality with his ownership, it means you’re running to stand still so looking deeper into the team we must praise Bukayo Saka (10), Bryan Mbeumo (7), Pervis Estupinan (7), Sam Johnstone (6) and Luke Shaw & Ollie Watkins (5 each).

The United double-midfield was disappointing but no panic yet and Odegaard will be just fine.

Transfers & Team Selection

We have 1 Free Transfer and 0.0mln in the bank.

There are no plans to make any moves this week ahead of the Friday evening deadline. We stand by to react to anything we hear before that time but as it stands, we will remain unchanged.

Captain

It remains Erling Haaland. And will do until further notice probably. Saka is on standby incase needed.

Our Gameweek 2 Team

We look ahead with anticipation to Gameweek 3 with two transfers in our pocket.

If James is confirmed out, should I use my free transfer to bring in Saliba? Already have Gabriel and Estu. Else I only have Baldock / Beyer on bench this week.

What’s the news on Stones, folks? Might have to do a transfer as my bench is none too strong

Not that I have too much to consider in terms of my bench this week but all set otherwise?

Done Trossard to Martinelli to avoid price drop, next week plan is Gvardiol/Pedro to Gusto/Jackson!
1 – Do I go Turner over Onana?
2 – Captain Saka over Haaland?

      1. Spurs looked very attaching in they opener so a CS for Onana is unlikely. Loads of saves and at some point an assist will be his point returns.

Turner as an good chance of the CS. But Sheffield aren’t going to be rolled over the whole season and will score here and there

Hey guys. Had a good week? Salah cappo or Haaland cappo? I think Haaland played a full game with extra time and a penalty shoot out this week? Doesn’t make sense to let him play the full game? Or you reckon Pep won’t take any risks for Newcastle?
