The Boot Room – Rate My Team GW 8 – FPL Fantasy Football Premier League

Photo-02-01-2014-11-40-06-300x214Whether your arrows were a happy green or a more depressing red, we get to sit on our thumbs for a while as the internationals take precedence. We get to sit back, relax and enjoy watching our valuable FPL assets get flogged to death in meaningless qualifiers and even more meaningless friendlies having flown half way around the world for the pleasure. Now what could possibly go wrong?! However, there is plenty to think about and plan for. We will be back with the usual raft of articles next week ahead of GW8 but in the meantime we encourage you to plan ahead and post your teams and questions in the chat below. You can either go old school and type it out or you can post a picture of it along with the issues or transfers which you are pondering. Either way you are sure to get plenty of answers from our great community. As usual though if you don’t have any pressing team issues you can simply post your thoughts and feelings on any subject you wish. Within reason anyway!

    Gents,

So which is the best option for this GW?

    A. Bolasie to firmino
    B. Bolasie to Coutinho
    C. Bolasie to Son
    D. Sterling (if injured) to Sanchez

If it’s just for this GW, D > C > A & B by fixtures and form of players, though I’m not sure if Sanchez will play a full game given that he will return 2-3 days before the game vs Swans and Arsenal have a CL game the following midweek.

If it’s for the long term, both Firmino and Coutinho are preferred (equally appealing though the latter has better form now) as the next run of 10 games are excellent

If it’s me, I would go for Pool cover (Firmino is a big game player) personally as you already have Walcott against Swans and there’s the slight risk of Sanchez not getting the full 90

This is my lot for the coming GW. Thinking of doing Bony & Antonio > Rashford/Deeney & Son but would be for a hit. Is it worth it as my guys have good fixtures and I could wait a week?

Since I’m here, anyone available to give me some suggestions? (would appreciate a list long like init’s :P). I have 2 FT and 0 ITB

    A. Antonio/Ozil/Adrian to Snodgrass/Sanchez/Grant or Boruc for a -4 hit
    B. Sterling/Ozil to Snodgrass/Sanchez
    C. Antonio/Evans to Snodgrass/Walker
    D. Any other reasonable recommendations

Appreciate all the input and thanks a million in advance!

I play a 3-5-2 btw and have no intentions of changing the formation yet!

Careful what you ask for, you may have to keep asking until you get the answer you wanted :p smile

I’d keep Sterling, and you absolutely need Sanchez so despite the -4 I think I’m voting A here.

A sounds good to me but I would go for Boruc over Grant

      • Meh, I would say Grant which is a punt, Stoke used to be ok defensively. Looking at Borucs stats or Bournemouths, 2 CS in 6 games looks ok. But they were against WBrom who arent that attacking orientated and Everton who are a bit hot and cold tbh and both @ H.
Grant has pretty good fixtures for the next weeks, it is a punt which im taking. It probably isnt wise to recommend it, but for my team he is probably the right choice

Kun Agüero left the training of the #SelecciónArgentina by a discomfort in the soleus of the leg left and is doubt vs Paraguay
