FF247 Site Team News GW5 Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW5 Our Gameweek 4 Result Soooo…. do you want the good news or the bad news first? Well, the good news is that we didn’t leave many points on the bench – 1 between them. And that’s the end of the good news. The bad news is that just two of our players contributed 39 of of our miserly 54 points. Or 72.2%. The other 9 got 15, Palmer with 3 being the top scorer out of those. In fact 4 of them got just the 1, the other 4 doubled that. Pathetic. On a more even note it seems to have been a similarly poor week for the majority. FF247 Site Team Gameweek 4 One giant leap for Gameweek 2, one drunken backward one for 3….. Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 4 After the highs of a morale-boosting Triple Captain success on Erling Haaland in Gameweek 2, we failed to use that as an early launchpad for our season as pre-international break we mustered a measly 62 points, which was two short of the weekly average and a bump back down to outside of the top 2 million overall. FF247 Site Team News GW3 “Boast like hell” Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW3 They say that karma is a… well.. you know the rest, and after our barnstorming season that ended in the summer, it was a stuttered start with 48 points – nine below the average. Here we go, we all thought, this is what happens – something will find a way of bringing you back down to reality. Well, karma, you can stay away for longer because we were among those “jammy enough” (see the fallout on X, or Twitter, for further details) to triple captain Haaland and end up with a fantastic score of 103! FF247 Site Team News GW2 Can we get a do-over? Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW2 Well, the season starts here… or next week… or whenever we get above the average score! We didn’t get off to the best start in gameweek 1 as we scored 9 points below the average score getting 48 points. It could have been worse atleast we did have some players who returned just not more than the ones we didn’t own. No Saka, Havertz or Salah in our team so that was a bit of a spanking alright. FF247 Site Team News GW1 Our 2023/24 Overall Rank and Recent History This time last year I was writing about how our 2022/23 season did not go to plan and how we finished just inside the 300k mark – we weren’t happy about it and boy, did we improve! We not only got back to a 5 digit rank but we had our best ever season and rank by finishing a fantastic 4,238. That is our 3rd time with a four digit finish so hopefully we can emulate that this season and go for our first three digit finish! We won’t get greedy and ask for top spot just yet! Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 38 Last Call for All Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 38 A total of 137 points from our Gameweek 37 Bench Boost was most welcome and almost all of our selections of recent times have pulled their weight to create the score – a whole 54 points above the weekly average to take us to 6,018 overall ahead of the final weekend. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek DGW37 99 problems but Jackson ain’t one Welcome to FF247 Site Team DGW37 Despite coming in 28pts above the average with a 99, there was no flake in our cone as we slumped to yet another red arrow. It could have been worse. We backed the right captain, we had solid returns from our front 7, hell we even had our Arsenal defender doing what they do with 7pts from Gabriel. But to no avail. Sunday was looking grim. Our decision to bench Jackson to the tune of 16pts was looking to take a devastating toll, kicking us out of the top 10k for the first time in 26 game weeks.
