Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 1. We may not be, or indeed ever have been, the best team out there, but we are almost certainly the best debated one. At least we’d hope so anyway, and if anyone is debating a team more than we do then we send you and your family our condolences! This is not thrown together at the last minute. Chelsea won the league with relative ease last season, a feat they achieved with a core of no more than 13/14 players. However it’s worth remembering that Chelsea had no European football to contend with, this season they will have the small matter of the Champions League to deal with while also trying to defend their title. Liverpool started last season in electric form and in some circles they were being spoken about as potential league champions. A lack of depth within their squad and possibly a lack of a plan B eventually saw them fall away and ultimately they did well to finish 4th.
