FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 4 Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 4. We scored 49 points in GW3, a miserly 6 above the average and we saw a relatively minor jump in the rankings as a result. All in all it was a bit of a miserable old GW though. 19 of our points came from just three players at the back and even two of our benched rearguard scored more than any of our midfielders or forwards, Firmino excepted. Our midfield was consistent, if nothing else, with three points each. Lukaku blanked but that was the least of our worries, given his ownership. Kane coming in as a 4 point captain was the real kick in the teeth. FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 3 Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 3. Our good start didn’t last long. Just one game-week if you want specifics. After finishing GW1 with an impressive total of 86pts, GW2 brought us crashing back down to reality as we finished with just 35pts and a game-week rank of 3,402,911. If it hadn’t been for our United duo of de Gea & Lukaku we’d be stood in the corner wiping away the tears. With 18pts between them they accounted for just over 50% of our point’s total. Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 2. Well that went rather well. If you’d offered us 86pts ahead of GW1 we’d have bitten your arm off. All those weeks of research & deliberation certainly paid off!!! However it could & should have been 87pts. Late on Friday afternoon a decision was made to replace Cedric with Stephens, the words ‘I’ll do it now’ were uttered but as you’ll see we still own Cedric. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 37 Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 37. After the Negredo saga it seems like we regained some of our mojo. This week the team managed 79 points which was 33 points above the average. Our game-week rank was 150k and this allowed us to move back inside 40k after sitting at 58k last GW. We like to extend a big thank you to our defenders and the Chilean, who really scored well for us. Thirty points from our back four, helped in particular by our double CFC clean sheet. We also had a Saints defender and had shrewdly invested in a City keeper, bet that is not said often. Little did we think we’d regret selling Negredo so much, but the annoying striker, who single-handedly destroyed our DGW34, trolled us again after we sold him for Gabbiadini. You know the rest, Negredo blanked vs Bournemouth & Sunderland, but scored vs a Stones-less City defence and Gabbia….urgh, can’t even bring myself to type his name. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 35 Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 35. We came home alright this week, with a fairly respectable score of 63. Not spectacular but enough to see us rise slightly in the rankings by about 4k to 45,895. And this was despite Captain Negredo stinking the place out. What on earth were we thinking?! At least we weren’t alone on that one… he had a modicum of form and certainly the fixtures in his favour. Another week, another small green arrow, but at least it’s better than a red one and we’re back in the top 50k. Woohoo!! Our score of 57 was 11 better than the average of 46, so we have to be fairly happy with that. Our new recruits had mixed weeks – Kane kicked us off with a 12 point haul and how close we were to captaining him – while Zaha did nowt despite Palace scoring two at home to Leicester. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 33 Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 33. For fup sake. 55 fupping points. Ok, that’s the obscenities out of the way but c’mon, 55 points? I haven’t checked but I doubt we have been below the average on many occasions this season but we were in GW32. It may have been by just 1pt but we were still below it. We should’ve known what was in store at lunchtime on Saturday as Kyle Walker was rested and captain Eriksen picked up a solitary assist despite Spurs putting four past Watford. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 32 Like many, our GW31 was rescued late by Christian Eriksen and Josh King – the Viking came up with a goal and assist at Swansea while King cheered ‘most’ of the committee by equalising at Anfield. Of course King only appeared for us due to Llorent’s no-show, so happy days! Eden Hazard contributed 13pts also and those three were the only significant contributors. Captain Fail Sanchez at least tried to justify our faith by adding a clean sheet point but it was a pretty embarrassing display by the remaining eight numpties. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 31 Cutting straight to the chase this week, as time is of the essence, we scored 50 points in GW30 which was 10 above the average and it saw us register yet another green arrow, which is now 10 of those in the last 13 weeks. It’s ‘slowly, slowly catchy monkey’ though it seems as we’ve only actually risen by 30,000 places in all that time! This week we jumped up 5k to 34,416 overall. We aren’t complaining of course, it all just feels a bit laborious! It was an ‘ok’ week, we scored 47pts (39 net after the 8pt hit) vs an average of just 19 – so we cannot grumble, it could of been better, it could of been worse. Thanks to Captain Lukaku for his 24pt return to help maintain our decent ranking. The only other contributors in the much reduced game-week was Coleman’s clean sheet and Siggy’s assist and 2bps.
