FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW14 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW14 1, 2 miss a few, 99? Not even half 100. Ouch. We’ve had better weeks that’s for sure. It was a tough game week for many FPL managers, and despite being on our Wildcard we fared no better. The good news is we captained Haaland (26pts), and we also got a goal from Mitrovic (6pts). That’s where the good news ended. Kepa picked up 3pts and everyone else in our team got either 1 or 2pts. Pitiful. Our poor score (again like many FPL managers) was compounded by Andreas (10pts) first on our bench, and Neco (6pts) sitting third. We ain’t getting those points. Foden getting benched was unexpected and would we have ever put Neco in when he played Liverpool? Not likely. It was one of those game wee...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 13 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 13 Wildcard Time – To Mo’ or not to Mo’… Before we indulge oursleves with our wildcard chat, allow us to take you through how we scored a net 54 (total 58) this past gameweek to take us to 817,479 overall and another green arrow. We brought in Kane, Salah and Eze for our -4 this week and were rewarded by the ‘makeweight’ Ebe Eze with his 10 points. The other two – the bigger lads – 8 points between them! Aside from the Mitrovic (6) goal, the rest of the story – like for most teams this week – was in defence. Where clean sheets for Dalot, Williams and Sanchez (all, 6) and a Kieran Trippier masterclass (9) was all she ...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW12 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW12 We’ve made our bed and now we’re going to lie in it We entered GW11 with 2 free transfers and we exited GW11 with 2 free transfers. Did we also mention we still have our Wildcard? And here we are once more sitting in the exact same spot. Our loose plan for a few weeks now was to come out swinging in GW13 with our WC in play and whilst our team is crawling towards midweek looking battered and bruised, we’re sticking to the plan. Even if the plan isn’t exactly what we hoped it would be. Our GW11 Result… So, how did we do? Pretty rubbish if truth be told! We scored a meagre 37pts, and whilst new boy Matt Doherty did the business with 6pts, he was one of only 3...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 11 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 11 “Have we still got our wildcard?” We have had 2 free transfers in our pocket since Moses left Manchester and every week in the chat someone will say, “remember we have the wildcard to play some time?” That day always seems to be another day because by and large, we’re doing OK. There’s also that striking green banner on the screenshot I sent which says “PLAY WILDCARD” – that’s another litlle clue. By now you’ll have realised that we are playfully digging out one of our own – a man who offers the impression that he doesn’t know which day of the week it is, a man who despite this does really well a...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 10 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 10 For many FPL managers, Gameweek 9 was the turning point where scores of over 100 saw huge rank rises. For others, it was a grim affair, especially those who went against captain favourite Haaland. We landed somewhere in the middle. We captained the right player (Haaland – who else?) and he netted over half our points (46 from 87). We got fortunate with Trippier’s 8pts following his substitution (prior to Newcastle conceding) and we backed the right 4th defender in Neco because despite his -1pt return, it was better than the -2pt that Dalot got stuck on our bench. You have to celebrate the small wins right? The reason for all those 100+ point returns was of cour...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 9 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 9 Prior to all this international nonsense (where England were relegated and Scotland promoted but who’s keeping score anyway?), we tackled GW8 six players short, partly due to the cancelled matches (five of our players didn’t play) and partly because we have Danny Ward in nets. Gulp. Whichever way you slice it, we were below average with 49pts (with a -4) and, although the average was just 50pts, we slid to 1,095,583 overall. Looking at the below, it is safe to say, we’d be nowhere without our City lads. Captain Haaland (12), De Bruyne (10) and Cancelo (9) with more than half our points. Only Kieran Trippier (5) and Gabriel Jesus (6) also deserve a mention. ...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW8 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW8 The wrong Seagull Back in GW6, we made a big thing about the letter ß, culminating in our transfer in of Pascal Groß (along with Diogo Dalot). Whilst Pascal did manage an assist, it was fellow Seagulls midfielder Alexis Mac Allister (who was in consideration) who proved to be the one who got away following his 14pt return at home to Leicester. However, in a week when the only other player to return was our captain Haaland, those 5pts were much appreciated. The less said about our other 9 players the better. We ended the game week on 39pts, 6pts below the average (45) which culminated in our second red arrow of the season and a rank drop from 415,637 down to 678,972. We did better in GW7 a...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW6 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW6 The letter… ß The midweek fixtures saw us finish with 86 points – a very respectable result that earned a nice green arrow of about 470k places up to 415,637th. Basically we’ve now knocked a zero off that rank since GW2. Erling Braut Haaland was, of course, the star of the show as he casually scored another hat-9trick and gained 17 points, doubled to make a lovely 34. “I love it when an FPL captain plan comes together”, as it may have been said on the A-Team if that was based around fantasy football. “I ain’t getting no Kane!”, etc. Other worthy mentions are Salah’s shoulder, which helped to earn the Egyptian a total of 10 points in Liverpool̵...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 5 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 5 We’ve crashed the top million! 80 points from our boys in Gameweek 4 despite, like the rest of you, we took Mohamed Salah (6) as captain. We thank very much our other two Liverppol players who didn’t miraculously blank in a NINE NIL WIN (sorry, still raw), step forward Trent Alexander-Arnold (17) and Luis Diaz (14). Elsewhere, Reece James (7) with his usual assist, which cancelled out his losing a goal to Leicester and Robert Sanchez (8) helped out with a clean sheet and two bonus. Ivan Perisic (6) on Sunday kept up his handy knack of keeping a clean sheet and then getting himself substituted AFTER the 60 minute mark and BEFORE he has the chance to lose the point...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW4 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW4 Following on from last week’s green arrow we managed what was achieved in GW1 by once again, landing bang on the game week average (48pts) (who says we’re not consistent!). This resulted in a small red arrow down to 1,969,711 with a total of 179pts. 87 off first place, there is hope. Like many managers, our big at-the-back strategy had an off-week with James and Ederson on 1pt, Trent and Cancelo going one better(worse) with a big fat 0. Ouch. Thankfully Perisic popped up with a much-needed 12pts, without which we would be in dire straights. Elsewhere it was another disappointing show from Neto (2), with Bailey and his 5pts mocking us from second on our bench. We went with the Jesus ...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 3 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 3 A hugely pleasing 74 points in Gameweek 2 returned our first green arrow of the season, admittedly it was our first available opportunity, but still nice to be going in the right direction early doors. Overall rank is now 1,765,509 (from 4,137,259) and only 78 points off first place for those counting! Leaving aside Leon Bailey (1) – what were any of us thinking? – our two worst performers of the week were two of our Liverpool players in Trent (3) and Salah (2). Not very often we’ll say that. Our City double up in defence is working a treat with Ederson (6) and Cancelo (7) being supplemented by Reece James still scoring 7 points in a game in which he was bo...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW2 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW2 Our GW1 Result… Isn’t it great after weeks of painstakingly creating the perfect squad for the new season, your efforts are rewarded, and you get the season off to a flyer from the get-go? Who knows, not us! The best way to describe our GW1 was average, that is, we ended up on 57pts and you guessed it, the gameweek average was 57pts. Shocking stuff. Our pitiful GW1 efforts see us kick off the season with a rank of 4,137,263. Ouch. So, how did we get here? Well, when you only have 4/11 players return you can usually guarantee it’s not going to be a good week. Thankfully Captain Salah did the business grabbing us 24pts, James, Cancelo and Ederson chipped in 7pts a-piece and that was i...[Read More]
