Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 4 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 4 Well, that was a bit of a weird old International Break. We’ve had players going, players staying at home, players going when they were supposed to stay at home, players staying at home when they were supposed to be going, players going places they weren’t supposed to go, players going places their clubs said they couldn’t go, but did anyway, players being dragged off pitches for coming from somewhere that they perhaps had or hadn’t been. Or something to that effect. If anyone does indeed return and if anyone can figure out where anyone has been and whether they now need to quarantine then you’re probably more on the ball than most players or clubs. Whether you are ripping up your team with a WC or multiple hits t...[Read More]
Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2021-22 International break time always means one thing, GABO time! This mostly passive aggressive panel was filled with our fearless feared leader Init, Rosco, who after only one week of doing Init’s site duties needed a therapist and GP who tries to always be nice, but has been sneaking in snarky comments on the site. With a crazy first few gameweeks and a crazy transfer window to boot, there is certainly a lot of questions when it pertains to fpl that we all probably have. I have asked once again on the site for any in particular you might want answered and have included the ones I could that were not addressed in other questions. Well, without further ado, let us see what the boys had to say. Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore...[Read More]
FPL Ramblings I don’t do intros if I can help it and that will not change today. Here we go. Team of the Week David de Gea led all keepers this week in points with 7, a couple of great saves helped United to their first clean sheet of the season. Varane made his first start and went out and had the highest score for any defender with 12. His assist, three bonus and clean sheet all helped him stand out this GW. Perhaps a little lucky though to get the six extra points. Think most of us would give Greenwood a lot of credit for the goal as he had a ton of work to do after receiving the pass from Rafa. Seamus Coleman made the team after snagging a clean sheet accompanied by an assist for winning a penalty. The last one on this list Sergio Reguilon was perhaps the most impressive one as h...[Read More]
Becoming a Professional Gambler – Is It Really Possible? Becoming a Professional Gambler – Is It Really Possible? A quick guide to becoming a professional gambler – do you have what it takes? People often remark that it would be nice to be a professional gambler. They imagine the career comes with fame, money, glamour, and lots of parties. These people have probably watched too many movies. The truth is that being a professional gambler is as hard work as any other full-time job, the rewards are just much better. Most professional gamblers don’t spend their nights in casinos in expensive outfits and drinking martinis. They are more likely to be at home online betting or doing research into the next big race. However, if getting big rewards for your hard work sounds ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 3 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 3! Want a tip? Don’t WC In GW3. I should know. I’ve done it 5 times. This is my 6th season of FPL. Be better than me. That said, it’s easy to do. Looking at this week’s price rises it’s clear that the tide has turned. Or at least you would think so given the ludicrous rate at which some players are being snapped up. You can’t blame the masses though. Lukaku scored on his debut, he could have had a hatful. Fixtures? Pah. Buy him and buy him now. Tsimikas scored 12pts. But he will be on the bench next week. I can’t hear you. Get in my team. Duffy is 4.0 and scored 15pts. But he’s not nailed, he’s 58 and Brighton would have sold him in the summer if anyone had shown even the slightest of interest. Shhhhhh. ...[Read More]

FPL Ramblings As you all know, unlike the others I actually hate these intros. So I am just going straight into it. One Note: This is obviously written before the gameweek is all done so Hammers and Leicester players were not taken into account. Here we go. Team of the Week Lloris makes an appearance after his 11 point performance. That is two clean sheets and max bonus both weeks for him. The defenders are the sort of the players/teams you expect in there. TAA had a fantastic game with 7 key passes, 1 shot and 1 assist. Add the 3 bonus to his tally and he ended up on 12, the kind of performance you expect from the highest priced defender in the game. It was no surprise to see a City defender make the team, perhaps a little surprising though to see it be Laporte. Certainly not because the ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 2 Patience is a virtue… Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 2 It’s fair to say that our Tips writers absolutely smashed GW1. Then again, we would all also win the lottery every week if we were able to pick all 59 numbers, which is effectively what they did. We hope you picked the good ones! Gameweek 2 is where we begin to whittle that lot down a bit though. One gameweek is hardly a huge basis to make sweeping judgements, but we can at least begin to see who is likely to hit a bit of form, who we can expect better from and which horses we may want to get off pronto. Read their advice, take some if necessary, just don’t go ripping your team up just yet; patience is a virtue and after all you picked the original lot for a reason. After al...[Read More]
FPL Ramblings I hate writing these intros, I probably spend more time on this small paragraph than the rest of the actual article. I wrote 2-3 sentences, then deleted it, didn’t like it. I started again and deleted it again. Wasn’t funny, didn’t make sense, where am I going with that, does it even set up the article? Arghhhh!! You know what, here are some fpl thoughts. Team of the Week There are many places we could start, but when two of the priciest and most heavily owned guys put on a show, that is probably a good place. If you have not figured out which two I am talking about, you probably need to change hobbies. I speak of Salah and Bruno, of course. It wasn’t just that they had huge hauls (top two in fpl). It was their displays, in general, that should have ow...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 1 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 1 Variety is the spice of life (Tips) As we alluded to in the previous Captains piece we have split the workload for Tips too. As such, rather than having one exhausted writer tailing off when it comes to the final Forwards section we shall have 3 or 4 sprightly individuals all at the top of their game giving you their player tips for each position. This week we present you with Swirly in nets, Rosco with a case for defence, Mito with the middle ground and Smash with the forward thinking. Swirly – Goalkeepers First up on the inaugural tips article of the season is Brighton’s Robert Sanchez, who costs just £4.5m – a price that was quite the pleasant surprise on launch day! Previous seasons have seen us go “How ...[Read More]
FPL Ramblings It has been a while since I wrote one of these and I didn’t have any plans to do so this season, but I was sitting around with nothing to do in the afternoon and thought why not write about some random fpl thoughts. Years ago I read an article in fantasy NFL that I really liked called Love/Hate. I liked it so much that in the past I have included a mini love/hate section myself although that has been a while. I use to do it to talk about transfers. I would see who managers were buying and selling and state whether I loved or hated the transfer, when I was on the fence I just say I was lukewarm. It is in article that I have thought about doing this season occasionally. That is sort of what this is in many ways as I am going to be loving and hating on the ownership of pla...[Read More]
Promoted Teams Analysis FPL 2021/22 – Norwich We continue our countdown of newly promoted teams with the first team to get promoted last season. Norwich were the eventual champions of the Sky Bet Championship with 97 points seeing them return to the top-flight after just one season. This was the highest points total in the league since Wolves in 2018, which is encouraging and suggest an improvement. This improvement has happened at the back as their defence shipped 36 goals compared to the 57 goals following their 2018/19 season. We all know Norwich and how they are the ultimate yo-yo team. This up and down status hasn’t got any help from the suits in the Premier League offices as Norwich’s start to the season cannot be any tougher. Over the first three games, they play Liverpool (H)...[Read More]
