Earlier than expected but the first double game-week of the season is upon us as Stoke and Man City are both at the double. Of course, one of these is more interesting than the other – but I wouldn’t write off City so easily 😉 . This obviously means an extended game-week lasting from Saturday lunchtime through to Wednesday evening with only Tuesday as a rest day. GW26 wasn’t one of our better weeks sadly, but every now and again we allow the Community Team their five minutes in the spotlight 😉 We scored just 48 points, three above the average but a red arrow followed as we slipped to 52,554. Our two transfers of Jakupovic and Mane contributed 6pts between them and it was only that high as we capo’d Mane. The two week break from FPL has given us much time to mull over transfers, watch the price changes with panic and disbelief and pray that none of our number gets injured in any of the various Cup matches being played. Frustrating as it may have been, FPL now becomes intense, with every transfer valuable – a potential DGW next week is followed by a larger blank game-week in GW28 and then the fun of the rearranged games creating large DGWs comes into play. A small green arrow was delivered to our doorstep by the FPL stork after a GW25 score of 58 – this compares to the average of 47, so it was ok, nothing special but a win is a win and we’ll take it.
